Job Purpose:

• Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team
• Have day to day responsibility for the Individual Giving income stream
• Manage a portfolio of existing Individual Giving supporters, providing exceptional supporter care and building relationships, stewarding and nurturing existing donors.
• Improve supporter retention and maximise donors’ lifetime value to hyh
• Manage, develop and lead on the use of hyh’s CRM effectively to segment data and make insight-led decisions. This includes developing new reports, liaising with the external CRM consultant to make improvements, writing up procedures and training members of the team in best practice.
• Acquire and develop new donors through solicitation and stewardship plans using a supporter journey programme to build engagement and loyalty.
• Develop marketing and comms materials through digital and other channels to deliver the programme.
• Maximise all opportunities to develop regular giving, appeals, one-off occasion donations, in-mem and legacy

The role

In this role you will be responsible for day-to-day management of Trust and Foundation fundraising. Your responsibilities will include building long-term partnerships with trusts and foundations, ensuring support through in-depth research, excellent stewardship, and timely and accurate reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships and colleagues across the organisation to find creative and compelling projects to be funded.

Additionally, you will contribute to projects within the Philanthropy and Partnership team, such as webinars and events.

As an effective communicator, you will feel confident in writing high quality proposals and speaking to colleagues across the organisation to identify opportunities for funding.

Your role involves managing your own of trusts and foundations pipeline, you will need to take initiative, research, prioritise and organise your own work, with limited supervision to achieve deadlines across multiple tasks.

New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. This will include a team of Housing Caseworkers who will carry out assessments and advocacy work with young people under 25 who are fleeing violence and exploitation, in order to move them on successfully into both emergency and long-term housing options. You should be passionate about working with this client group, able to manage a fast-moving caseload, and committed to working collaboratively with a team across multiple services.

Senior Engagement and Events Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible individual to join St Paul’s School as our Senior Engagement and Events Manager.

The post holder will manage the delivery of events and engagement activities for the whole of the St Paul’s community—pupils, Old Paulines (alumni), parents of current and/or former pupils, and staff. the3million is looking for a new Community Organiser to help us build the power of EU citizens in the UK and of their non-EU family members, working alongside two other Organisers in our team and the members of our EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network

Since Brexit, EU citizens in the UK and their family members have been brought under the Hostile Environment. the3million has been providing information to EU citizens and has continuously advocated for a fairer immigration system, especially in making the EU Settlement Scheme more accessible to all.

We provide a platform for EU citizens to become politically active and use their voices to advocate for themselves. The Community Organiser will be part of a team to create opportunities for EU citizens to have increased capacity to engage in activism and lead the change they want to see in the UK, their home.

This role is at an officer level and suitable for people who are looking for their first paid role in Organising, but have had some grassroots experience, even if on an informal or voluntary basis. You can expect to be mentored by an experienced Community Organiser and thereby learn a lot while on the job. More experienced candidates are also welcome to apply.We are currently in the process of applying for funding to extend this role. If we are successful, the contract will be extended by 2 years and we will work with the successful Organiser on a progression route, reviewing the job holder’s salary level after they have been in the role for 6 months.

We are the leading organisation representing EU citizens and their non-EU family members in the UK. Our vision is a world where our communities can thrive, reach their potential and have an equal voice in UK society. 

Our work ranges from monitoring the implementation of the UK-EU Withdrawal Agreement, advocating for the integration of EU citizens throughout all sections of society, informing people of their rights, promoting access to justice, and giving EU citizens a voice in British society to change the narrative on migration as a whole. 

We are a grassroots and non-partisan organisation, working with a variety of stakeholders, from MPs to NGOs, legal advisors, the media and community leaders across civic society on specific issues affecting migrants’ rights. **Duties and responsibilities **

1. Co-lead the3million’s “EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network” 

• Working with the Community Organiser - Campaigns to recruit more members of the EU Citizens’ Campaigns Network by regularly reaching out to relevant communities and booking 1-1 meetings with key community leaders;

• Working with the Community Organiser - Campaigns to support and guide our existing Network members made up of over 40 community leaders who have a variety of backgrounds and levels of experience in campaigning, developing their confidence and ability to become effective change-makers and encouraging them to take coordinated, strategic actions to advance our campaigns;

• Co-facilitate monthly Network meetings: setting agendas, facilitating Breakout rooms, taking minutes and following up with Network members on their agreed actions;

• Support the3million’s campaigns by supporting our Head of Policy and Advocacy on our MP-facing work in Parliament and our Communications Manager to ensure that our campaigns are featured on our social media, newsletters and clearly communicated to key stakeholders such as partner organisations in the migration sector and to key community leaders on the ground

2. Relationship-building and in-person workshops

• Rolling out a series of “listening sessions” and “Know Your Rights” workshops with community groups across the country: liaising with relevant community leaders to visit them and their communities, this may include working on Saturdays (and taking time off in lieu during the week) and running in-person sessions. You will receive guidance on the format from the Community Organiser - Campaigns but will be the main person delivering such sessions on the ground.

3. Professional learning and development

• Taking a proactive approach to your learning and development towards becoming a confident and versatile Community Organiser and Campaigns specialist, you will have regular check-ins with your line manager (Community Organiser - Political Campaigns) and engage in an ongoing process of evaluation, thereby reflecting on the work you are carrying out to draw out learning and being willing to stretch yourself. Depending on your current level of experience as an Organiser, you may be set assignments such as reading recommended articles/books, listening to relevant podcasts, attending specific training sessions, etc.

• Experience of leading or of working with others to deliver and/or facilitate events such as workshops or group meetings in an engaging manner, with attention to administrative detail

• Ability to actively listen to people and identify their motivations for campaigning, encouraging people to speak up for themselves and building relationships based on trust

• Strong oral and written communications, including the ability to write clear emails with compelling calls to action and the confidence to speak in public settings

Our 47 UK-based community foundations provide vital support to every postcode in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Our network of community foundations managed over £811 million in community-focused endowments, being invested by communities for communities. This has risen by 14% since 2020, showing a drive for more sustainable support at a local level. Background
Evolve is a Cambridgeshire-based charity (a CIO), founded in 1978, which provides affordable mental health counselling to adults in Cambridgeshire and surrounding counties. We deliver talking therapies to adults – online and in person. The Evolve counselling community is made up of around 50 qualified practitioners working part-time at donated or subsidised rates. Our service delivers around 500 counselling sessions per month to a broad range of individuals, many of whom would not otherwise be able to access counselling support. Evolve also provides supervision, reflective practice, critical incident support and mental health awareness and related training to organisations.

Main purpose of the job
The Head of Counselling works with our counsellor members and executive team to ensure that Evolve is the local counselling charity of choice - managing existing client relationships and service contracts, as well as seeking and securing new business. They are responsible for the clinical leadership of our counselling and related services to clients, and for supporting, motivating, and managing our counsellor members.

About the candidate
The successful candidate will be an appropriately qualified and experienced individual who has leadership expertise, with the ability to engage with colleagues, trustees, counselling clients, organisational contacts and other stakeholders. They will have demonstrable experience of delivering a high-quality service in line with ethical standards and good practice, monitoring and evaluating impact and outcomes, as well as identifying and implementing, alongside other members of the executive team, service development/improvement and growth initiatives. They should also have a good understanding of the commercial considerations of managing a counselling service, and have experience of successful funding proposal/ bid writing and delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Management

• Overall responsibility for incoming referrals and allocations as well as ongoing management of clients and any waiting lists.
• Monitor the balance between counsellor capacity and client demand. 
• Provide leadership and support to the counselling members.
• Be the first point of contact for clinical advice and enquiries.
• Ensure the quality of provision to clients and the care of counsellors.
• Lead on revising, updating of existing, and writing of new, clinical policies and procedures to ensure compliance with charity standards as well as ethical and legal standards.
• Liaise with the CEO as Designated Safeguarding Lead, taking responsibility as the Counselling Safeguarding Lead. This includes ensuring that Evolve adheres to local and national guidelines for safeguarding and that issues relating to client risk are appropriately dealt with.
• Oversee counselling members’ health and safety including lone working and risk assessment.
• Manage and respond to complaints in line with Evolve’s procedures.
• Monitor, implement and ensure clinical service compliance with GDPR standards.
• Report on clinical service performance and attend Trustee Board meetings as required.

Training and development

• Ensure that all counsellors have the appropriate training, experience, and specialist knowledge required to support Evolve clients, including identifying training and development needs.

Recruitment

• Lead the recruitment of new counsellors, including interviewing potential new members as well as clinical induction and training of new counsellors.
• Oversee the annual membership renewal process, ensuring all members are compliant with Evolve requirements.

Monitoring and impact analysis

• Take responsibility for client feedback, ensuring comments are reviewed and acted on as appropriate.
• Compile reports and impact analysis as required, for internal and external stakeholders.

Business Development and General requirements

• Work alongside the CEO and executive team to represent Evolve and promote awareness of Evolve’s services along with the importance of mental health awareness and support. Provide clinical and commercial input to funding proposals and/or new service developments.
• Participate in Evolve’s committees, support work with the Trustee Board, and through events for the membership, to shape the future development growth and sustainability of Evolve Counselling CIO.
• Build and maintain effective external professional networks within Evolve’s operational areas.
• Work closely with the Administrator to ensure all data regarding members and clients is up to date, appropriately recorded and in line with Data Protection guidelines.
• Provide input to Evolve’s website and social media presence and other marketing channels, suggesting and writing content for posts and resources as required.
• Ensure effective partnership working with those charities and other organisations with whom Evolve collaborates.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Education, Qualification and Training

• Degree level or minimum level 4 Diploma qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy.

The fundraising team are working towards the growth and success of St Mungo’s Fundraising Strategy, which ultimately supports our aim to end rough sleeping for good. We are looking for someone to join the team as a Database Officer where you can provide database administration support to the fundraising team, enabling our strategy on supporter lifetime value, in line with our income growth path.

Working as the Database Officer you will maintain, develop and utilise the Raiser’s Edge database as an effective fundraising, segmentation and analysis tool, and train the fundraising team on Raiser’s Edge. Some of your other key duties will include:

• Manage daily administration of the Raiser’s Edge database, adding of data to lists, campaigns, appeals, adding new users.
• Importing large volumes of data using ImportOmatic and Raiser’s Edge imports for teams across Fundraising.
• Improve data quality on the database by running queries and reports to identify where data is not accurate or in the right format such as missing address information, phone or email and gift aid, as well as other information as identified.
• Support the Database Manager in implementing best practices when using and developing the database, including coding for segments, attributes and other database customisations.
• Assist in training Raiser’s Edge users to ensure they are fully trained in the relevant aspects of database functionality and to provide technical support when required.
• Create data sets to go to mailing houses and email communications which include segmentation of data and complex criteria.
• Work with fundraising and other teams to solve data challenges and estimate time to develop solutions and communicate timeframes.

About you

• Experience in using databases as an administrator, ideally using Raiser’s Edge NXT within the charity sector.
• Some experience in developing reporting, incorporating multiple criteria based on ever changing requirements, analysing data; and using data management tools and techniques including Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulae, data manipulation and presentation).
• You will have good knowledge of GDPR with an investigative mind, and the ability to solve complex problems while remaining focused on wider team objectives and goals.

In this role you will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for training, in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. About the role:

Communicating what the charity does is critical to their success, and this role will lead on this for three specific audiences: current and prospective donors; the local community; and the press. You will work closely with the Fundraising team to ensure that collateral is high-quality and donors are regularly hearing about the work of the charity. You will also devise new, innovative digital fundraising strategies, as well as having overall responsibility for the website.

Managing and working with the Marketing/Comms Officer, who will be hired soon after you start, you will also be responsible for marketing and communications aimed at young people and parents. This includes posters advertising events, banners, social media accounts, leaflets to display in the local areas, e-newsletters etc. You will also be responsible for either creating new video content yourself (or with the Marketing/Comms Officer) or finding creative and low-cost ways of generating it.

To be successful in the role of Marketing and Communications Manager you will be a role model for young people and present a positive “can do” attitude. You will also need to bring with you the following skills and experience:

• Proven Marketing & Communications experience
• Experience of developing and executing a marketing and/or communications strategy
• Experience of planning and managing income-generating campaigns – including monitoring budgets and expenditure (ideally in a charity but could also have been a sales campaign)
• Ability to use (or quickly learn) graphic design software (Canva and Photoshop)
• Experience of managing digital campaigns
• Experience of using a CRM system for logging and tracking stakeholder activity
• Experience in social media and website management
• Knowledge of how to implement an individual giving campaign

This vacancy has arisen in a busy and exciting office that provides specialist support to women currently at risk of domestic abuse. As the floating support worker you will be providing holistic support to victim/survivors including risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning.

You will adopt an assertive outreach approach when working with service users, providing telephone or face to face support in the community as needed. A key aspect of the role will be to advocate on behalf of those who are or have experienced domestic abuse with other agencies.
