As Senior Education Officer you will support the development, delivery and evaluation of the Society's education programme. This includes organising online and in person training sessions and coordinating the development and maintenance of online education resource.

Key responsibilities include:

* Maintaining an overview of Society education projects and providing input as required
* Playing a key role in the development and delivery of the Society's education programmes (online and in person events, online learning resources). This includes preparation of minutes and agendas, following up on action points and organising committee meetings as well as administering the events programme.
* Working on developing the e-learning platform and ensuring that the education pages of the website are kept up to date, working with editors to approve and add images and case reports, including the adding of internal and external meetings and new educational resources.
* Dealing with phone and email queries related to education and events.
* Acting as the main interface between the Committee and the professional conference organiser.
* Supporting the production of the Annual Scientific Meeting for example proofreading of documents, and user acceptance testing of online functionality such as registration and abstract systems, interactive programme and conference app.

The successful candidate will have experience in project management, event logistics and management, both online and in person and will be happy working with third party suppliers, as well as volunteers, with the ability to work with a diverse range of people at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key as is experience of CMS and updating websites. Experience working with e-learning platforms/LMS would be beneficial but is not crucial.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention, is a newly developed role at the DEC, responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for DEC individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention will:

• Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,

5. Understanding of the digital landscape, emerging trends, tools and best practices in social media and digital communications (including SEO, UI, UX, Information Architecture).
6. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media, digital and campaign strategies, and using reporting and analytics tools – with proven success in driving engagement and followers.
7. Strong creative flair with a strong understanding of best-practice design principles.
8. Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and cope flexibly with a range of jobs to meet (and exceed) client expectations.
9. Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail.

This role will be vital in providing clarity and direction with regards to how we operate (see our How Our Shops Operate document attached), guiding and engaging shop teams to drive the business to optimum operational success, as well as harnessing commerciality and embracing localism in line with each shop's proposition.

The current shops you'll manage include Sidmouth, Totnes, Clapham, and Lymington but please note that these shops/locations will change as the business evolves.

About You

Essential skills & experience:

• You'll have exceptional people management skills, including strong leadership and motivational skills.

• You will be entrepreneurial and driven by results with the ability to recognise and prioritise opportunities with the greatest potential.

• You'll be experienced in driving and delivering change management.

• You will be experienced in managing multiple sites and staff, comfortable with providing remote guidance and direction.

• You'll have a valid driving license and be willing and able to travel regularly to the shops you manage.

Ways of Working:

Great opportunity for a Media Engagement Lead at BRAC!

The Role:

I am looking for a motivated Media Engagement Lead to join their European communications team, this role will be working in a hybrid manner, with a least one day in their Central London office. This is a full time role with a salary of £52K PA.

You will design and deliver BRAC's media engagement plans across Europe, with a particular focus on the UK, Germany and Scandinavia. You will be the focal point for their media engagement efforts, building and leveraging relationships with key media outlets to raise awareness of BRAC's work and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement media engagement strategies to enhance BRAC's visibility in strategic markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts across Europe.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure cohesive and effective media messaging.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of media engagement activities.

About you:

• You have a passion for International Development and Humanitarian work.
• You will be a Media Manager who has demonstrable experience of media relations within press, PR or communications office where you've handled proactive and reactive activities.
• You have experience working with broadcast, print and online media.
• You have experience briefing and preparing colleagues to undertake media interviews, crisis communications and reputation
• Experience of working on projects with multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.
• Willingness and enthusiasm for accompanying journalists on visits to countries in Africa and Asia.
• Happy to travel to European locations as the role demands.
• Desirable to be French or German speaker but not essential.

We are looking for a talented and tenacious new Head of Social Media to join our External Relations and Media team. Our new Head of Social Media will lead Alzheimer’s Society’s social media functions, developing a compelling and inclusive organic social media strategy which integrates with organisational aims and positions Alzheimer’s Society as the leading dementia charity in the UK. 
 
This role will drive a high-performing team to deliver proactive social media content that resonates with a range of audiences across multiple platforms, from people with dementia/carers, through to decision makers, supporters and the wider public. And we want to ensure that we’re quick to react to breaking news and we’re watching out for channel-specific trends – creating engaging content that grows our audience and brand awareness.
 
The role will work closely with senior colleagues right across the Society with the need to influence and collaborate at the highest levels. We’re looking for an ambitious fundraiser to join our Philanthropy team, capitalising on recent growth and with the chance to really make your mark. Your role is to engage influential and high-profile individuals and Trusts in the UK, connecting them to the difference they can make to thousands of men facing prostate cancer.

Providing the highest level of stewardship, you’ll ensure existing and new supporters feel valued, inspiring them to make five and six figure gifts, which will significantly improve the lives of men facing prostate cancer and their families. You’ll also harness the support of our enthusiastic and influential Trustees, Senior Volunteers and Leadership Team, involving them in ‘making the ask’, thanking, as well as attending events.

What we want from you

You’ll have a strong team ethic, along with the enthusiasm and willingness to be flexible in achieving targets and outcomes. With experience of Major Donor and/or Trust fundraising and a proven track record of achieving five and six figure gifts, you’ll have outstanding persuasion, negotiation and communication skills, along with the ability to develop strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals, Trusts, Trustees and Directors.

You’ll be highly organised and adept at juggling multiple tasks and have the ability to balance management of existing donors while cultivating potential new supporters. You’ll be able to dive into the detail of individual engagement plans whilst keeping an eye on the big picture of the overall programme and how to achieve it so we can save more men’s lives.
