The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Marketing Officer (Fellowship) to help us achieve real impact by recruiting Fellows to the RSA to grow and diversify our network of Fellows in line with the overarching operational strategy. About the role 

As Communications and Projects Officer – Baby Bank Alliance (BBA), you will have a crucial role in overseeing social, digital, and internal communications for the Baby Bank Alliance and their 170+ member network, as well as supporting other key operational activities. 

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary, cross-organisational team while collaborating with local communities and grassroots organisations across the UK. The role is ideal for someone with experience in social media, communications, or digital marketing, offering a chance to expand their skills and gain valuable insights into brand building, partnerships, PR, and the charity sector. You will also be part of an innovative, early-stage "start-up" initiative that supports communities and families facing poverty nationwide. 

The Communications and Projects Officer will work closely with the Baby Bank Alliance Executive Lead, Communications and Marketing Manager, Community Leads, and broader team to support the delivery of key projects for 2024/25. Additionally, the post-holder will provide project support in areas such as stakeholder engagement, grant approvals, data management, and overall project coordination. 

This role will be 60% communications and 40% projects and within that you will: 

• Manage the BBA social media channels, creating social media strategies, developing and creating content and monitoring channels. 

• To manage the BBA WordPress website with any updates or issues and write the weekly newsletter to the Baby Bank Alliance members & non-members.

• To support the Media Manager with campaigns: e.g. arranging shoots, attending shoots, gathering resources for press releases/media requests.

• To support members of the wider Baby Bank Alliance team with a range of project tasks, where needed.

• To project manage the organisation and co-ordination of events and visits to baby banks, and help to promote and deliver them alongside a range of internal and external stakeholders. 

• Support the development of a new CRM database system, ensuring that data is migrated and captured efficiently to support the daily data management of the growing organization. 

About you 

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Experience of using Canva to create content. 

• Experience in managing social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn.

• Excellent project coordination skills, with a track record of delivering against targets and objectives. 

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work through tasks logically, identify risks early, and seek effective resolutions.

• Collaborative mindset, working across boundaries for collective success, actively listening, involving, and learning from others.

About the role 

This is a new role within the Fundraising and Digital Directorate, which oversees all aspects of the charity’s fundraising, brand, website, social media, email communications, and lead generation campaigns. This role sits within the Public Fundraising Team, which secures donations from individuals subscribed to our newsletters and individuals giving up to £5,000 per year, legators and regular givers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management

• Working with the wider public fundraising team, support the development of plans and activity to manage a portfolio of acquisition, retention and stewardship campaigns including, but not limited to, gathering content, setting up landing pages, creating graphics and assets for digital content, designing ad content, as well as delivering email and social media communications and digital versions of our supporter newsletter.
• Provide digital support for each fundraising project from start to finish. Lead on creating segmented and tailored email journeys – source content and create briefs, liaise with suppliers, create and oversee data selections, exports and imports and manage sign off process.
• Manage our email welcome journey for e-news sign ups, and support on the development of other supporter journeys for a range of audiences across the team.
• Ensure continued communications and strong working relationships with the Direct Marketing Manager and Digital and Comms teams.
• Play an active role in coordinating digital communication plans across the organisation, working alongside the Direct Marketing Manager and Comms colleagues to suggest themes and content as well as creating/scheduling content as and when required.

What’s on offer:

Key duties include:

• Lead on the strategic development of the Legacy and In Memory programme, considering audiences, products and channels. This includes managing a team of 2 direct reports, as well as the Legacy and In Memory budget.
• Present business cases for the development of the strategic programme and activity based on testing and innovation of audiences, products and channels.
• Collaborate with other Heads of across the Fundraising Directorate to ensure consistent communication to supporters.
• Drive the development of the corporate fundraising programme, working with Global Programmes colleagues and partners based in the countries where the charity operates in.
• Provide supportive and dynamic line management for two direct reports
• Work closely with Data and Insight teams to ensure effective and accurate reporting and that insight drives future activity.

We’re looking for the following skills & experience:

• Experience in strategic management of a multi-channel Legacy programme, including reporting and insight.
• Experience of delivering creative and innovative acquisition fundraising plans, including supporter journeys across both on and offline channels.
• Experience of managing budgets and plans, monitoring, reporting and reforecasting.
• Ability to motivate and inspire a team to exceed targets.

Reporting into the Director of Fundraising and Supporter Engagement, this strategic role is essential to the future growth of the charity’s profile and income. This role will lead the Transformation and Innovation function within Fundraising and Supporter Engagement which acts as an internal consultancy and change management function to challenge the status quo, foster a culture of innovation across all teams and look for and support the implementation of new and improved ways of working to drive increased profile and income diversification. 

Key Responsibilities:

· Work with the Director of Fundraising and Supporter Engagement oversee the roadmap and implementation of our Fundraising and Engagement three-year strategy

· Establish tools and processes to support the Directorate to deliver on our goals and hold ourselves accountable to the strategy ambition

· Support Heads and wider teams to monitor and report on KPIs for the successful deployment of the new strategy, monitoring impact and recommend any adjustments 

· Lead F&E senior leaders in regular reviews of the strategy implementation, and adjusting plans and priorities accordingly

· Monitor trends across the sector and recommend new strategic opportunities to grow engagement and income 

· Identify and lead key change projects needed to support our income and engagement growth, in collaboration with senior leaders across the organisation

· Champion innovation across the charity and help Plan International UK understand what it means, and how it is applied, to our work

· Develop plans to build a culture of innovation across the charity 

· Identify practical ways to encourage innovative thinking across the charity 

· Monitor the sector and beyond for innovation that could benefit the charity 

· Identify opportunities coming out from the global hub and other National Organisations that could benefit Plan International UK 

· Champion the importance of using insights to develop products and messaging that have our audiences at the centre

Person Specification:

· An experienced senior leader with a significant track record of providing effective leadership to drive strategy and change, foster ambition, set direction and inspire others, with a collaborative approach to working cross-organisationally and embedding effective ways of working  

· Extensive experience of designing and managing business transformation programmes 

· Highly effective and influential communicator and relationship builder with stakeholders at all levels, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships and influencing senior stakeholders 

· Experience of negotiating with senior stakeholders over change priorities alongside BAU 

· A successful track record of developing strategies to drive engagement and income growth

· Able to effectively interrogate, manage, monitor and negotiate complex budgets and programme information 

· Experience of leading and developing teams, including extensive experience of supporting cross-functional team management and virtual teams

The Head of Marketing and Brand will be responsible for the charity's brand and fundraising marketing. You'll work closely with the Deputy Director of Marcomms, to drive brand awareness. You will manage the marketing and brand team, covering a full range of marketing activity including, advertising, media buying, design and creative, and marketing collateral.

Knowledge and experience:

Centenary Campaign Lead

The 2026 Centenary is a significant milestone in CPRE’s history. This critical role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the success of the campaign. The postholder will be responsible for developing and managing the Centenary project management plan and engaging key stakeholders, including trustees, volunteers and supporters, internally and externally throughout the organisation, nationally and locally; monitoring objectives; and identifying and mitigating any associated risks.

With exceptional relationship building skills, you will support delivery of the Centenary Appeal, working closely with fundraising teams, and ensure our HNWI donors, key funders and volunteers are stewarded appropriately. Central to this role is taking everyone with us throughout the build-up and delivery of the Centenary Campaign, providing energetic stewardship for high value supporters, identifying new opportunities and helping to co-ordinate and deliver a wide programme of high-profile Centenary events and activity across fundraising.

Live Music Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Live Music Coordinator in the North of England to support the delivery of live music experiences improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

The Role

The Live Music Coordinator will facilitate the delivery of live music experiences across the North of England, improving the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

You will work with professional musicians to share live music with people who may not otherwise get to experience it, organising programmes with partner organisations, in line with the organisation’s strategy and operational plan.

You will also support the delivery of the annual programme of live music experiences communicating with hospitals, hospices, care homes and the community. This includes those living with dementia, who have mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

• Coordination of the live music programme
• Prepare reports and appropriate feedback to the Live Music Manager and support to the Fundraising and Communications team as per the reporting timeframes required
• Inform the Live Music Manager of progress and developments
• Support the Live Music Manager to manage and deliver services
• Encourage, collate and monitor feedback reports from healthcare centres, participants and musicians
• Ensure effective administration in accordance with the UK-wide system for facilitating and contracting of individual health and care settings and musicians
• Provide copy for publications such the newsletter and Annual Report.
• Support Safeguarding and Health and Safety compliance within geographic area of responsibility
