World Obesity Federation is seeking an Events Coordinator to join their team as maternity cover.
World Obesity Federation (WOF) is a worldwide federation with over 100 members and takes a holistic view of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. WOF is a lead partner to global agencies on obesity, including WHO, and a member of the Global Obesity Coalition.
This position will begin assisting the Events Manager with the events programme and continue as maternity cover in 2025. Main responsibilities will include managing the educational events programme including in person obesity management training courses ‘Scope Schools’ as part of the SCOPE e-learning site held regularly throughout the year, and monthly educational webinars, alongside the Head of Education.

The Role
As Area Manager, you'll lead your dispersed team through in-person support visits, 1:1s, phone chats, team and individual communications, and virtual and in-person meetings.
During support visits, you'll ensure Fundraisers uphold the standards, code of conduct, values and brand through their communication and display. You'll do at least one monthly recruiting shift with each team member, providing valuable feedback to Fundraisers and follow up individual action plans for all team members. Ultimately, you'll lead a culture of high standards, positive actions, and achievement of targets.

Secret World Wildlife Rescue (SWWR) exists to relieve the suffering of British wildlife, to encourage respect and tolerance for wildlife and to further its conservation. SWWR strives to do this by:

Terms and Conditions
- Location: This is a hybrid role with two days at MAF UK, 1st Floor Castle House, Castle Hill Avenue, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 2TQ. One day per week will be spent at our Operations Centre, MAF International, Henwood, Ashford, TN24 8DH and the other two days can be from home.
- Working Hours: This is a full time role (at least 36 hours per week, with 1 hour for lunch daily unpaid) but requiring some flexibility on the successful candidate to work additional hours occasionally some of which could be outside the normal business hours. Hours should be agreed with line manager.

Overall Purpose of the Job: To work as part of the communications team to plan, implement and optimise communications for our members.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver membership communications through our website, email and social media
- Creating and sending out member emails, ensuring that activity is consistent, accurate and timely
- Creating social media posts across multiple Twitter accounts, as well as LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram ensuring they are accurate, consistent and timely
- Ensure the communications calendar is maintained and accurate, and work with the communications team to ensure all messaging is appropriately scheduled to ensure maximum engagement and member experience
- Supporting the team in proofreading communications to ensure messaging and standards are consistent
- Monitor and improve email and social media communications through regular reporting and recommending improvements
- Working with wider BSG team to support communication of key projects and initiatives across all channels
- Make content additions and updates to the website as required
- Understand and use core functionality on the website to a high standard, and play a role in maintaining and improving processes and their documentation
- Work with Head of Communications and Senior Communications Executive to identify areas for improvement and recommending solutions, including proofreading existing work
- Work with the digital team to create a website usage report and make recommendations for improvements
- Support the events manager in organisation of BSG events including webinars and face to face events as required
- Work on the BSG stand at the annual conference and do other tasks as may be required
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years experience in a communications or similar role
- Experience using a website CMS and mailing system/CRM.
- Experience using social media scheduling and analytics tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with good attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of GDPR and good data practices
- Ideally some experience using design tools such as Canva
- Competency with Microsoft Office suite

Born Free has recently invested in fundraising to support income growth and diversification under the leadership of a new Director of Fundraising.
The Opportunity
We are looking for an Individual Giving Officer to become an integral member of the fundraising team as we look to diversify and grow our individual giving programme.
Individual giving is a key income stream for Born Free, and you will be supporting the Head of Public Fundraising to grow income from new and existing supporters, including through existing products and testing new ways for people to give. The successful candidate will be involved in areas such as our adoption programme, lottery, appeals, supporter acquisition, retention, stewardship, and digital fundraising.
You will be highly motivated and passionate about the mission of Born Free and bring the experience of working in a fundraising team to help grow and diversify the individual giving programme.
The Role
Working collaboratively with the Head of Public Fundraising to develop and implement the Individual Giving strategy for income growth and supporter retention. The successful candidate will be detail-orientated, a team player, creative and able to work collaboratively as well as independently.
Resourceful, organised and a proactive team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will need to juggle both creative and data tasks with drive and enthusiasm, be able to work with minimum supervision and show good judgement and initiative.
Key tasks will include:
- Supporter acquisition: work with Head of Public Fundraising to develop, project manage and deliver an integrated multi-channel rolling supporter acquisition across the individual giving portfolio.
- Supporter retention, journeys, and engagement: work with the Head of Public Fundraising, Supporter Database & Insight Manager, and Communications team to project manage, and deliver a successful supporter journey to reduce attrition across the individual giving portfolio, and deliver on appeals and other supporter mailings.
- Digital Marketing: project manage and champion digital fundraising for individual giving, supporting the Social Media Manager and the Marketing Manager with the development of content.
- Manage suppliers and stakeholders: Ensuring high standards of delivery and collaboration are maintained within budgets and procurement requirements.
- Data insight: Work alongside the Head of Public Fundraising and Supporter Data & Insight Manager to ensure the selection and segmentation maximise results. Use campaign data to track and report on the effectiveness of activity, attrition levels, and inform decision-making and future planning.
- Strategy & Planning: Work alongside the Head of Public Fundraising and Director of Fundraising to produce and execute an effective and sustainable individual giving plan to grow income from new and existing donors.
- Budgets: Support the Head of Public Fundraising with compiling budgets, phasing and monitoring Individual Giving income and expenditure.
- External trends and regulation: Keep up to date with fundraising trends and legislation in relation to public fundraising, and ensure compliance with the Charity Commission, fundraising regulation and data protection requirements, including the General Data Protection Directive; Ensure all individual giving activity complies with the appropriate regulation and legislation and delivers an excellent experience for supporters.
The successful candidate should ideally demonstrate the following attributes:
- Direct marketing experience (essential) and digital marketing experience (essential)
- Highly numerate and extremely comfortable working with data, spreadsheets and KPIs
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build effective relationships with colleagues, donors and external suppliers.
- Proven experience in working with Microsoft Office, Excel, and relational databases (including data input), ideally with knowledge of Raiser’s Edge or equivalent CRM.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate effectively to both external and internal audiences.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills and an ability to prioritise work, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage relationships with third party suppliers including creative agencies, printers and fulfilment house.
- A team-minded approach - taking others on the journey with you and sharing knowledge / expertise for the benefit of the wider fundraising team and organisation.

As Senior Education Officer you will support the development, delivery and evaluation of the Society’s education programme. This includes organising online and in person training sessions and coordinating the development and maintenance of online education resource.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining an overview of Society education projects and providing input as required
- Playing a key role in the development and delivery of the Society’s education programmes (online and in person events, online learning resources). This includes preparation of minutes and agendas, following up on action points and organising committee meetings as well as administering the events programme.
- Working on developing the e-learning platform and ensuring that the education pages of the website are kept up to date, working with editors to approve and add images and case reports, including the adding of internal and external meetings and new educational resources.
- Dealing with phone and email queries related to education and events.
- Acting as the main interface between the Committee and the professional conference organiser.
- Supporting the production of the Annual Scientific Meeting for example proofreading of documents, and user acceptance testing of online functionality such as registration and abstract systems, interactive programme and conference app.
The successful candidate will have experience in project management, event logistics and management, both online and in person and will be happy working with third party suppliers, as well as volunteers, with the ability to work with a diverse range of people at all levels. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key as is experience of CMS and updating websites. Experience working with e-learning platforms/LMS would be beneficial but is not crucial.
