In this multi-faceted essential role, you will be the first point of contact for our supporters and provide high-quality customer service and support, from handling enquiries through to  resolution, processing income donations, sending out donation thank you letters and  supporter materials, all in a professional manner.

It is an exciting time to join King’s College Hospital Charity and the Fundraising and Communications Team to support our innovative and ambitious fundraising targets. We recently had our biggest ever team at the 2024 London Landmarks Half Marathon, with 96 runners representing Team King’s and over £85,000 raised for our hospitals. The Great Hospital Hike, our flagship fundraising event, also raised over £160,000 for our hospitals, with our supporters walking the 18-mile route from King’s College Hospital in Denmark Hill to the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley.

The Supporter Services Assistant is often the first point of contact at the charity for supporters - handling enquiries, processing income, sending out donation thank you letters and supporter materials and mass postal mailings, where required. You will combine excellent supporter care and customer service with administrative efficiency and attention to detail to ensure that the supporter experience is smooth and positive from start to finish. You'll be skilled at listening and responding to queries appropriately, both over the telephone, via email and letter.

You will use the Access Charity Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to make sure all supporter information is recorded consistently, kept up to date and maintained in accordance with database management procedures. You will work closely with the Database Manager and Senior Fundraising Operations Officer to highlight opportunities for improvements to processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• To give supporters a positive, consistent experience in all their interactions with the Charity, especially in response to enquiries, income handling and donor thanking.
• To ensure that income is recorded accurately and promptly on the CRM database to enable the Finance team to reconcile and correctly allocate income, and the Fundraising team to have financial oversight of their fundraising activities.
• To ensure that supporter records on the CRM database are kept up to date, adding enquiry responses, donation correspondence and amending records where requested by either the supporter, members of the Fundraising & Communications team or wider charity colleagues.

Aquarius is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. Right now, we’re looking for someone like you to join our team in Wolverhampton. You will provide the vital administrative, data entry and reporting and reception support the service needs to run smoothly. This is a substance misuse service that works with adults aged 18+ and is run in partnership with Nacro and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust. Your Challenge? To join the Treatment Team and work with a case load of clients using psychosocial interventions to reduce substance misuse. When it comes to developing opportunities, initiatives and activities that support the development of a recovery community in the area the service operates, again, we’ll count on you to deliver..

As well as GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above (or equivalent), you have significant experience of data entry, manipulation and reporting. We’ll also be looking for a background in an admin role where you dealt with people from a wide range of backgrounds, both over the phone and face-to-face. Familiar with all aspects of electronic communication such as email, diaries and the intranet, you have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Windows files and folders too. What’s more, you have lots of initiative, are great at multi-tasking, work well within a team and under direction from others and have an absence of an alcohol or substance misuse problem for at least two years.

This is a permanent full-time role fixed term post requiring the post-holder to work 37 hours per week.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Healthier Places team. We are looking for a Graduate Engineer, to support in the delivery of our innovative programme of people-focused street and route design.

As a transport charity, the focus of the work will be the integration of Engineering and Placemaking as an integral part of Active Travel infrastructure projects. The principle objective of these projects will be to encourage higher levels of walking and cycling and the creation of equitable and accessible environments for all. 

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary design and engineering team, working on projects funded by Welsh Government, Transport for Wales, Welsh Local Authorities and engaging with diverse communities across Wales.

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

About you

You should have a degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic/Highways Engineering, or other degree related to engineering design within the built environment (or other equivalent experience).

Competence in using design software and the production of technical drawings using CAD.

I Bike Schools Officer

Base: Selected Schools in East Dunbartonshire with home working flexibility when not delivering in-school sessions

About the role

The I Bike Project has been running since 2009 in Scotland, working with schools around the country, promoting healthy travel choices in Education. As the I Bike Schools Officer you will work with selected schools around the Bearsden and Milngavie areas of East Dunbartonshire to promote cycling, scooting and walking to and from school and other journeys.

This holder of this position supports school staff and volunteers, promoting active travel within the school community. You will harness local authority resources available for active travel and create connections between schools, external partners and the bicycle industry.

Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected and the option of working hybrid from the nearest hub base in Glasgow.

About you

You should have experience of working with children and young people. Along with working in schools, community groups, environment projects or young people in another setting.

You will also have good written and verbal communication skills. Excellent presentation skills and report writing skills alongside the ability to engage with a wide range of age-groups. You will be able to prioritise your own workload.

You will have undertaken or be willing to undertake the National Standard cycle Instructor training and bike maintenance training. 

A UK clean, valid driving license is vital for this role.

Woodgreen Pets Charity is looking for a Director of Finance and Corporate Services to play a key leadership role in our ambitious strategy, and in ensuring the success of Woodgreen and our impact for pets and their people. We need a critical thinker who will help challenge us all on our plans, performance and management of risk, while simultaneously being energised by our vision and who therefore supports and enables the organisation to find new solutions, innovate and think differently. This isn’t a paradox in our view, but rather a unique opportunity to work closely with the CEO and wider leadership team to define and make real a new category and type of pet support charity.

This year we celebrate our centenary and 100 years of providing shelter, care and support to pets and pet owners with no one to turn to.  While we are exceptionally proud of the impact that this critical care and support has had, the challenging events of recent years, and the continued plight of so many vulnerable pets and struggling pet owners, mean that as well as being a time of celebration we have taken time to reflect, reimagine and consider how the next 100 years can accomplish our vision where every pet has a loving home for life.

We’re working to a new, 5-year strategy that will reposition Woodgreen to have a greater emphasis on helping pets before problems arise through prevention and early intervention work with pet owners, communities and our partners. It will need digital and technology transformation, big change as well as continuous improvement, and a belief in our people and their amazing potential impact for pets and people. Our ambition is to challenge and change the pet shelter model, building on our care and rehoming work to develop and deliver a range of information, advice, and support services at scale, provided through new approaches, new channels and new partnerships.

The Director of Finance and Corporate Services will be critical to any success we have – they will provide strategic oversight of finance, technology and facilities teams while guiding them to strengthen organisational capabilities and practice around strategic planning, performance and risk management.

With a growth mindset they will embrace challenges and be comfortable with ambiguity, bring strengths with humility, recognise failure as potential for improvement, and foster a learning, inquisitive culture above all.

This is a hybrid opportunity with an expectation of attendance and presence at our Godmanchester site to fulfil the duties of the role, act as a member of the executive and senior leadership team, and to play a cross-organisational role in support of our strategy, mission and values.  It is anticipated that this would typically be around 2-3 days on site per week, however this could be flexible with the emphasis being on providing organisational leadership and impact.

The successful applicant will have experience in Data Warehousing in Microsoft Azure, SQL, Database Administration or Azure Synapse Analytics.  In addition they will have outstanding software engineering skills with the ability to deliver, maintain and support our organisations software and help create an evidence-driven data culture.

Reporting to the Head of Data & Technology, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to Woodgreen, our customers & supporters and the animals that we care for.

The Role

As our Sustainability Lead, you will support functions across our organisation to help deliver on our sustainability commitments.

Specifically, you will support improved environmental, social and governance actions, whilst setting annual sustainability targets and reporting on these to ensure we deliver on our environmental promises.

You will help finalise our Sustainability Strategy and reporting framework to ensure improvements are delivered. You will work with teams responsible for aspects of sustainability including finance, operations, facilities, people and governance and you will develop an internal stakeholder engagement plan to raise awareness and drive changes in staff behaviour.

The Project

An emotional and wellbeing service that supports adults aged 18+ in primary care who are experiencing a range of mental health difficulties. Patients are offered extended consultation times, quick and easy access to practical advice and tailored support for their mental health needs from a multidisciplinary team.

Patients can explore the situation affecting their wellbeing – whether that is an ongoing mental or physical health problem, loneliness, debt, or other issues. They can then be guided to appropriate resources that may help, including talking therapies, benefits advice, or an introduction to a local community group.

The role of the Community Connector is fundamental to the developing of these innovative teams and mental health services based within networks of GP Practices (Primary Care Networks – PCNs). The role supports the ongoing development and mobilisation of integrated primary care mental health services.

The Role

Providing a primary care mental health service within this context refers to:

• First level of intervention
• Ease of access
• A multidisciplinary approach working a range of professionals across PCN’s inclusive of GP’s, Practice Nurses, Mental Health Practitioners, Pharmacists and Psychiatrists.
• Supporting patients to access to a wide range of community services and resources including social care, housing, family, debt and employment support that contribute toward maintaining good health and wellbeing.

About You

This role is part of the Choirs Support Team (CST), a small, dedicated team, that supports the network of individual Military Wives Choirs and the performances of Military Wives Choirs as a recording and performing artist. Managing wellbeing issues and developing mental health first aid and mediation skills within choirs
