Relationship Fundraiser
Job title: Relationship Fundraiser
Hours: Full-time (Equivalent to 37.5 hours a week), in line with our flexible working policy. If you are unable to work full-time but are interested in the role, we’d be happy to hear from candidates who had a different proposed model of working in mind.
Remuneration: circa £29,000 per annum

Location: Hybrid working. A mix of home and Leukaemia Care offices at One Birch Court, Blackpole East, Worcester, WR3 8SG (a minimum of 2 days in the office).
Report to: Community and Individual Giving Manager
Working closely with: Fundraising Team, Communications Team, Patient Services Team and Finance.
Purpose of the role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the charity/fundraising sector, looking to progress and develop a career focusing on community and individual giving activity.
You should want to use and grow your knowledge and aim to achieve excellent standards of fundraising through relationship building.
You’ll be passionate about continuous improvement, have a proactive attitude and be comfortable in suggesting new and/or better ways of working. You’ll enjoy a challenging and fulfilling environment, working with a supportive and forward-thinking team. You will have experience of planning and implementing projects and in providing high levels of stewardship – in addition to the ability to research, identify and reach potential new supporter groups within the community.

Main duties and responsibilities
This role requires input into and delivery of multiple income streams, working with the Community and Individual Giving Manager and the wider Fundraising Team. Duties and responsibilities will, at any given time, include:
Community Fundraising Related
Plan, develop and implement fundraising initiatives that appeal to community groups and associations. Devise community related products and resources that will aid community groups to further engage and raise funds.
Research, identify, apply for and secure new local level partnerships or one-off community type donations e.g. from Rotary/Lions Clubs, Musical Groups, Sports Clubs or Supermarket Charity of the Year.
Research, identify, apply for and secure new support from educational establishments such as Schools and Universities.
Promote collections in relevant geographic locations to Leukaemia Care’s hospital hubs or with a link to a supporter, patient or family.
Identify opportunities for Leukaemia Care to raise awareness around the charity’s Hospital Hub locations around the U.K.
Account manage any local community charity of the year partnerships that are secured, e.g. a Golf Club. Be their point of contact at Leukaemia Care.
Represent the organisation giving engaging talks, pitches and presentations on the work of the charity, as well as delivering thank you acceptance speeches where necessary.
Individual Giving Related
Administer and thank gifts from Individuals including one off donors and first-time donors.
Alongside the Community and Individual Giving Manager build rapport and meaningful relationships with identified mid-level donors and prospect major donors.
Research ideas, plan, devise, implement and develop virtual giving as an income stream.
Maximise income by promoting Gift Aid and securing declarations in relation to eligible UK taxpayers.
Support the Community and Individual Giving Manager to run the charity’s Regular Giving Programme, ensuring these committed and longstanding donors/members are thanked appropriately, regularly informed of their impact, and developed into long-term donors.
Support the Community and Individual Giving Manager with an externally run Lottery and our Lottery Players recruitment and retention.
Work with the Community and Individual Giving Manager to plan stewardship events. Be responsible for the logistical organisation of such events liaising with venues, making bookings and handling invitees requirements.
General Fundraising
Work within the Code of Fundraising Practice as set by the Fundraising Regulator and adhere to all relevant financial procedures.
Deliver and exceed targets across a wide variety of areas including Community and Individual Giving; including Mid-Level Giving, Lottery and Virtual Fundraising.
Represent the charity at events and cheque presentations as required.
Raise awareness to encourage support and make the most of any ‘cross-selling’ opportunities to promote other ways to get involved such as running events, gifts in Wills, Recycling, Payroll Giving, Volunteering etc.
Ensure that systems and processes are effective, and that our database is updated and utilised as the central source of information for recording income, supporter interactions and reporting.
Maximise the use of online fundraising tools, digital marketing and social media to increase
the generation of funds from all available sources.
Ensure the work produced across the team is of high quality, and reflective of the values of Leukaemia Care. Record all interactions with fundraisers or potential fundraisers on Raisers Edge NXT, our fundraising database (training will be provided).
Provide cover within the team as needed during periods of annual leave, sickness or where extra resources are needed.
Adopt a strong solution focused approach to help supporters overcome any challenges and maximise their fundraising efforts.
Improve supporter retention and engagement, building strong relationships and long-term supporters.
Ensure all supporters are appropriately thanked and help develop specific supporter journeys.
Assist with enquiries and donations over the telephone and by email.
Ensure that relevant pages on the Leukaemia Care website fundraising information is up to date.
Collate case studies, stories and photographs and share with the Comms Team for promotion.
Provide data to the Community and Individual Giving Manager to support the production of progress reports for presentation to the Senior Leadership Team and/or Board of Trustees.
General

Role Description
Our membership community are the lifeblood of GCT, representing a passionate group primarily based in the UK, inspired by the magic of Galapagos. Through their membership donations, this community provides a critical stream of income, protecting this special place long after people visit and represent our best advocates for protecting Galapagos into the future. We are seeking a special individual who can help us reach more of this UK audience and catalyse a growth in new supporter recruitment. At GCT, we truly believe that regenerative tourism can be part of the solution for conservation and this role will also drive stronger connections with tourism businesses and other targeted corporates to grow GCT’s income, donor recruitment opportunities and also to disseminate messaging to influence more sustainable practices in the Galapagos tourism industry.
Reporting to the CEO, the Membership & Regenerative Tourism Manager will drive the development and implementation of three key GCT strategies: Membership, Corporate fundraising & Regenerative Tourism. The role will line manage the Individual Giving Fundraiser who is responsible for managing GCT’s contact database and membership/corporate fundraising administration.
What you’ll deliver:
Membership
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will oversee a growth in GCT’s membership (targets to be agreed upon appointment) whilst ensuring our strong record of supporter retention is maintained, ensuring our members feel a valued part of protecting Galapagos.
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser and Communications team, you will develop and deliver high quality communications to members and tourism contacts, growing recruitment and ongoing engagement.
· Working with the Individual Giving Fundraiser you will manage GCT’s contact database (CRM) and will refine GCT’s membership, supporter and corporate data tracking processes, reporting monthly and quarterly indicators to the Senior Leadership Team and Board.
· You will ensure robust administration of membership, supporter and corporate income, with an ‘all-hands-on-deck’ attitude during busy income processing times.
· You will lead promotional activities for legacy gifts, stewarding legacy pledgers.
· You will support the Senior Philanthropy Manager in donor relationship management, ensuring a strong donor journey at all levels.
· You will provide strategic input to the CEO for ongoing membership, tourism and corporate fundraising strategy delivery and development.
Corporate Partnerships
· Working with the CEO and Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will review and relaunch GCT’s corporate membership/ sponsorship scheme in 2025 linking with GCT’s 30th Anniversary.
· Working with the Senior Leadership Team you will support the development and implementation of GCT’s first Galapagos Regenerative Tourism Partner initiative (aiming to generate c. £50K per year towards regenerative tourism work).
· You will continue recruitment and cultivation of GCT’s corporate partners from the travel industry and other industries, ensuring partnership deliverables and income targets are met.
· You will support the Senior Philanthropy Manager with logistics, promotion and fundraising strategies for the GCT cruises.
Regenerative Tourism
· You will stay informed of tourism news from Galapagos and trends for UK tourists including attending relevant networking events, updating the wider GCT team on a quarterly basis.
· Support GCT’s position on the Galapagos Regenerative Tourism Working Group.
· Ensure opportunities to share regenerative tourism messaging are optimised to increase industry uptake of biodiversity and local community positive solutions.
General
· Stay informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and guidance from the Fundraising Regulator, keeping the Senior Leadership Team updated of any changes.
· Support for GCT events such as our annual Galapagos Day.
· Ensure GCT’s fundraising and contact data management policies are kept up to date and implemented across the organisation.
· To support other team members as required at busy times.

Work Experience & Skills Required:

o Highly organised with the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver to tight timeframes.
o Strong finance/budget planning experience with ability to track targets, RoI and KPIs.
o Excellent written and verbal communications skills, experience in best practice customer service.
o High digital literacy, confident in a variety of softwares (e.g. Excel and other Microsoft Office programmes, databases and CRM systems).
o Excellent team management skills with evidence of supporting others to achieve their potential, experience in training others desirable.
Desirable:
o Experience working in the charity sector and particularly in environment/conservation or the tourism sector will be an advantage.
o Evidence of fundraising and/or marketing skills e.g. a qualification or training course is desirable.
o Spanish language ability is an advantage but not critical to this role.
o Confidence in public speaking to a variety of audiences and experience facilitating workshops is beneficial.
Place of work: GCT offices, central London (UK) with potential for occasional national and international travel; based in London office at least 2 days per week, option to work from home up to 3 days per week. Purpose of role
The International Board are seeking a senior International Fundraising Director with significant experience in major donor fundraising who will help drive the organisation’s fundraising strategy by strengthening and diversifying its fundraising sources. The Mission requires an experienced leader with a proven track record in international fundraising who will inspire our teams to differentiate and grow income as the organisation enters a new phase of strategic growth. The International Fundraising Director – with this focus on Major Donors - will provide leadership, oversight and guidance to the Mission’s national country fundraising directors - working with the International Director of Communication and Individual Fundraising and the wider fundraising team. They will work with major international donors and engage with field countries on targeted local fundraising and impact reporting.
As a strong communicator and strategic thinker with significant practical and direct fundraising experience, this Director will serve as a key member of the International Executive Team and report to the CEO and indirectly, the Mission Without Borders (MWB) International Board. They will have significant practical experience working with major donors, trusts and foundations, institutional and corporate fundraising.
Primary responsibilities
Donor development and outreach
· To provide strategic direction, leadership and drive for fundraising in all new development areas across the Mission. They will have direct responsibility for raising funds at the international level, leading cross organizational initiatives with a specific focus on major donors, trusts, and foundations - as this is currently an underdeveloped source of income for the Mission.
· Create coherent strategic plans for driving income growth, diversifying income sources and improving donor engagement, with a focus on major donors.
· Develop and implement fundraising policies and procedures, particularly around major donors to ensure local and international consistency and compliance.
· Drive a relational fundraising culture by implementing systems and reporting to deliver effective supporter journeys with a focus on major donors.
· Lead in understanding of fundraising trends and working with wider fundraising team and national directors to improve agility in response to these trends.
· Understand and engage in program delivery needs and impact to ensure that donor and beneficiary journeys are linked and opportunities for major donor fundraising are deliverable.

Communications and marketing in major donors work and other areas within responsibility
· Drive the Mission’s communications and marketing strategy to achieve strategic objectives in major donors and in other areas within responsibility to include oversight of Mission websites to ensure accessible content, consistency in fundamentals across fundraising countries, strong user experience and improved digital engagement and giving for major donor initiatives.
Budgeting and reporting
· Have oversight of the annual and rolling five-year budgets for areas under responsibility to ensure local and international fundraising achieve overall strategic goals for income and related expenditure.
· Work closely with the CFO and CEO, Director of Individual Fundraising, and other senior executive personnel to drive annual planning and budgeting process.
· Drive consistency in restricted and unrestricted giving reporting.
Leadership and management
· Work with the International Executive team to drive Mission’s International Strategy.
· Collaborate and coach National Fundraising directors.
· Nurture team members in excellence in operational tasks as well as personal development, ensuring an engaged and fulfilled team.
· Participate in Mission events, training, and conferences to engage and inspire peers to drive strategic goals and ensure best practice.

Experience and Skills
· Relevant degree or equivalent in experience.
· Strong management and leadership skills, with a servant heart.
· Senior level experience as part of an international leadership team and managing international teams in complex environments.
· Proven experience working with major donors (£20,000+), trusts, foundations, institutional donors and corporates.
· Development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for fundraising, marketing and communications.
· Budgetary creation, management, monitoring and control.
· Brand development experience desired.
· History of work experience in an organisation with a similar ethos to MWB.

As Community Fundraising Coordinator you will be the first point of contact for people fundraising in their community for Diabetes UK. The Development Manager post has been created with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to increase fundraising skill and capacity and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day fundraising function.
