LOOKING FOR YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE?

About the Project - Overview of Living in Love and Faith
Living in Love and Faith (LLF) is a landmark project for the Church of England. It is a series of teaching and learning resources exploring questions of human identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage in the light of the Bible, theology, science, history and people's lived experience.

The purpose of the resources is to enable Church of England churches across the country to participate in a process of learning and praying together as part of discerning a way forward to matters of identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage and we want to find a way forward, to find what God is saying to the church.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
Core Responsibilities
  • To provide effective programme management across the seven workstreams within LLF and manage key working relationships with members of the LLF Programme Board, the LLF Working Groups, the Faith and Order Commission, and other NCI Teams. The post holder will also be expected to liaise with Members of the General Synod and the House and College of Bishops as required.
  • To be able to lead the Bishops on the right support to do the work.
  • Arranging, Scheduling and attending meetings, this includes filing and archiving and minute-taking.
Other Key Requirements
  • Has a knowledge and understanding of the Church of England, including in the area of sexuality and identity.
  • The post holder should be a person of trust, can handle large and complex systems relationships/issues and can win credibility with key members as well as the Bishops.
  • Experience in managing networks of stakeholders and other interest groups.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with our stakeholders clearly, and concisely, as well as respond respectfully, sensitively and empathetically to communications expressing deeply held convictions and judgments.
The Church of England is for everyone and we want to reflect the diversity of the communities we serve across the whole country. Therefore, while of course, we welcome all applications from all interested and suitably experienced people, we would particularly welcome applicants from UK Minoritised Ethnicities (UKME)/Global Majority Heritage (GMH) and other under-represented groups.
