Liaise with People Assistants to review the job advertising and marketing materials in line with the brand and tone of voice

Support the design and delivery of recruitment data and analytics, to inform and track progress and improve practice.

I am delighted to be working with a fantastic charity in search of an Interim Finance Manager. This is a full-time, London based hybrid role for 6-months. As Finance Manager you will have responsibility for primarily the management accounts of the Charity. The Finance Manager will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager, the Head of Foundation and the rest of the Senior Leadership team to ensure that the Charity is financially controlled and effectively and efficiently managed in all areas of operation.

The Finance Manager is ‘hands-on’ leading and managing on the Foundation targets set out within the Foundation’s five year ‘Grow & Improve’ strategy. He/she works across all of the Foundation’s operations team and the Business team to ensure that all parts of the Charity are well managed and financially controlled, building the base on which the Foundation can continue to thrive and grow.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts on a timely basis and assistance with the timely preparation of the Finance Report for the regular Trustee meetings.

Assist to ensure that the Charity complies with all financial, reporting and record keeping requirements.

Assist with compliance issues with the Charity Commission and Companies House and associated regulations.

Support the development and implementation of the ‘Grow and Improve’ strategy, in close partnership with the Senior Finance Manager, Head of Foundation and the Senior Leadership Team with an ability to challenge ideas.

A Finance expert, who can support peers and staff to develop their financial competencies, while ensuring staff feel valued and respected to excel in their roles.

You demonstrate the business acumen and relationship building skills to financially manage and control the Charity including assistance with the preparation of the annual budget and forecasts and to manage the day to day financial transactions.

You have the skills and experience to manage and maintain the necessary systems, policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management on a cost effective basis.

 You will lead all on-air fundraising efforts, including the Charity of the Year appeal, working closely with content teams and  external consultants to creatively engage our audience.

As a Fundraising Manager you will:

• Be responsible for the operational delivery of on-air fundraising appeals, including briefing documents, promotional materials, and donation incentives. 
• Review and implement the use of impact audio from on-air appeals, coach presenters during appeals, and manage the On-Air Testimony Producer who secures live donor calls.
• Be a key contributor to the charity’s on-air fundraising programme, overseeing monthly on-air fundraising messaging, script writing, production, and traffic scheduling.
• Contribute ideas for capturing audience data and oversee the execution of on-air data  capture campaigns. 

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Proven experience in fundraising,
• Demonstrated success in working with external consultants and content teams to creatively deliver successful fundraising campaigns.
• Broad understanding of the Church and a Christian audience.
• Working experience of radio broadcast systems including creation of clocks in systems such as Zetta would be an advantage.
• Experience driving a radio studio desk would be an advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Photoshop and other regularly used  applications.
• Excellent team working skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written, oral and public speaking.

I am excited to be working with an amazing support charity in search of an HR Restructure Manager. This is an immediate start, part-time (3- 4 days per week), hybrid, temp role for around 3-months. This role will see you support the CEO and team leaders in providing end-to-end support in remodelling and restructuring their particular areas of the organisation.

Main duties:

Work with the CEO and team leaders in project managing the remodelling and restructuring to deliver an operational HR model to meet current and future organisational needs

Ensure all rationale for change is both legally and commercially robust to form the basis of any subsequent consultation proposal documentation.

Responsible for developing and writing detailed job descriptions and person specifications including competencies.

Work with the CEO in managing the consultation process with employees to ensure the detail is both understood and implemented

One of the oldest hospices in the country, for over 50 years St Joseph’s Hospice has been passionate about providing high-quality, professional nursing care within a peaceful, home from home environment.

"My father-in-law spent the last few weeks of his life there and the care he and his family received was second to none. Being perfectly honest when my turn comes if I am not lucky enough to die peacefully in my sleep then this is where I would want to be.".

Surrounded by 12 acres of beautiful woodland garden the hospice cares for around 200 patients, and their families, every year from across a diverse geographical area, which includes Sefton, Liverpool and West Lancashire. All of the invaluable services the hospice provides, which include bereavement services, are entirely free of charge to patients and their families despite costing around £10k per day to run, so the hospice is largely dependent on fundraised income.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Community & Events Fundraiser to join the ambitious and dedicated Fundraising Team at the hospice.

The Role

As a Community & Events Fundraiser you will be responsible for developing and implementing a programme of vibrant, commercially successful fundraising events. Duties will include:

• Managing community fundraising and building relationships with donors to maximise income.
• Recruiting and managing the Fundraising volunteers.
• Supporting the Income & Business Development Manager in delivering the annual objectives and targets.
• Attending third party fundraising events to offer support and promote the hospice within the community

The Person

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will have excellent people skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate others. Proven experience of fundraising and events would be ideal, however we are keen to hear from people with transferable backgrounds including volunteering, business development/ sales or account management.

The Corporate Fundraising Officer will be instrumental in generating income and in-kind support from local businesses and corporate partners. You'll be given the opportunity to develop and manage corporate partnerships, manage two events, attract corporate volunteers, and promote fundraising initiatives. Alongside the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, you'll be involved in co-ordinating and delivering a corporate fundraising plan and will help the shelter achieve their fundraising strategy.

Refugee Council is seeking a Stewardship and Event Manager to lead on excellent stewardship and events at the charity.

Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK.  Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment.  Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system.  The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.

As a result of growing need and increasing interest in Refugee Council’s work, the charity has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their Philanthropy Team to raise increased funds from key high value audiences.

This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships management team and represents a brilliant opportunity to support the growth and development of our major donor, trust and statutory and corporate partnerships portfolios.

Working with key stakeholders from across the organisation, the postholder will play a lead role in the development and delivery of an ambitious stewardship and events programme, offering a range of activities to engage and inspire supporters, and ensure that they are connected to, and inspired by, the work of Refugee Council.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing a special events programme to support cultivation and income generation, as well as of developing engaging and relevant donor and prospect communications. They will also have experience of leading on the conceptualisation, planning and delivery of a range of event types, from small, intimate dinners to large receptions and be adept at creating and managing a monitoring and evaluation framework to track activity and apply lessons learned to future activities.  They will also be comfortable working with senior leaders within Refugee Council, as well as corporate leaders, parliamentarians and other influential people, alongside having a sound understanding of the principles and impact of exemplary stewardship and cultivation of supporters and prospects.

Refugee Council will provide the most moving and diverse case for support. Cases that encompass innovative external affairs campaigns aimed at engaging policy makers and the public.

Refugee Council knows that step change takes time and planning, and they have put together a plan for growth that is ambitious but is also realistic and allows time for development and engagement. This plan also includes recruiting prospecting, stewardship, and communications expertise, so that growth is supported, planned and achievable.
