The Proposition Development Manager – Climate & Nature, will bring subject matter expertise in Nature & Climate and will use donor insight at every stage of the process, to unlock the fundraising potential of high-value donors. Crucially, the role will work with the audience insight team to analyse audiences and identify learnings from previous propositions, to understand opportunities for future compelling propositions and inform Climate & Nature proposition development.
The selected candidate will have experience of building relationships across organisational boundaries and will be a sector-leading creative writer and storyteller. You will have successful experience working in the UK charity sector with an in-depth knowledge and experience of fundraising, particularly within the Climate & Nature space, with an understanding of high-value donor motivations. Reporting to the newly appointed Head of Proposition Development and joining a new team, this role is offered on an initial 24 month contract.

The Supporter CRM and Data Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of the hospice’s supporter data and income operations strategy and developing annual delivery plans, including strategic planning and management of the Fundraising team’s supporter CRM, data insight and income operations function. You will develop, manage and review processes and procedures for all fundraising income and data across on and offline platforms and ensure all income and supporter data is processed accurately, in a timely manner and in line with Hospice policies and service level agreements.

The River Thames Boat Project are now looking for a Fundraising Manager to raise the funds to enable them to run cruises and education days on the Thames.
As Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for growing the charitable income across all streams (grants, foundations, corporate sponsors), maximising members program, establishing a sound data base for fundraising and establishing a volunteer fundraising committee. You will develop and execute a fundraising plan and develop strong relationships with prospective and existing funders. You will research potential trust and foundation funders, write compelling bids and ensure effective reporting and stewardship. You will also be responsible marketing the charity to prospective clients through mailings, social media and other routes.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Proven experience in raising income for small to medium size charities from multiple sources with a specific focus on trusts and foundations

QuarterFive are delighted to be partnering with The Orpheus Centre, which supports young disabled adults to live and work as independently as they are able. They do this through developing their confidence and independent living skills, using arts-based, bespoke learning, work experience and supported living programmes delivered from their base in Surrey. All of their learners are learning disabled and some are also physically disabled.
The Orpheus Centre is located at a beautiful converted farm that provides teaching and performance spaces and self-contained accommodation. However, their success in enabling these young people to thrive means that they are over subscribed every year and have outgrown the current facilities.
The capital appeal will convert a building next to the Centre to allow for more learners to enrol, in particular more learners with more complex needs. Currently, the quiet phase is projected for 2024-2027, with the build phase being projected for 2027-2029.
The Head of Capital Appeal will sit on the SMT, reporting to the CEO, and be responsible for leading a small team of fundraisers also dedicated to raising funds for the build. While there will be a team to support, the Head of Capital Appeal will spend most of their time personally fundraising as well. There are existing opportunities, including a well-connected President (also the Founder), a Capital Appeal Committee which will be set up, and an existing pool of donors. A focus on new business, however, will also be crucial for the success of the project.
As Head of Capital Appeal, you will:
- Develop, implement and monitor the private and public phases of the capital appeal strategy to enable the Orpheus Centre to meet the appeal target
- Establish a high performing capital appeal committee of volunteers to cultivate and steward potential significant donors
- Deliver target income from a range of sources, primarily major donors, trusts and foundations and statutory sources, but not discounting other viable income streams
- Personally secure significant major gifts for the capital project
- Design, recruit and lead a team of fundraisers to support on fundraising for the capital project
- Research and identify potential funders for the capital project
- Work closely with the build project team, to ensure clear communication between the funding and the building of the project
- Provide timely reports for Senior Management Team and Trustees to facilitate effective cash flow management and decision making
Ideal skills and experience:
- Significant experience in a senior high value fundraising role
- Demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure major gifts
- Extensive track record in working with trusts, major donors and statutory funders
- Experience of line managing teams of fundraisers
- Ability to adapt to different audiences, including donors, senior volunteers, team members, learners and all colleagues in the wider organisation

In memory giving and gifts in Wills left to us by our supporters are essential to ensuring we can help generations of children and young people who will sadly be living with a cancer diagnosis. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Legacy Marketing Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting the Legacy Marketing Manager to plan, implement and deliver legacy and in-memory strategies.
The Legacy Officer will work on a range of legacy and in-memory campaigns, materials and supporter centric journeys across multiple channels. As a team we will maximise legacy and in memory giving and acquire new legacy and in memory supporters, as well as nurturing existing supporters who have expressed an interest in leaving a gift in their Will for the future of Young Lives vs Cancer’s work.
The role will suit a passionate and creative individual who thrives on working collaboratively and who is able to manage end to end projects and supplier relationships. There will be a need to analyse data to monitor performance as well as identifying trends and opportunities. Fulfilment mapping is also a key element of the role as well as being comfortable presenting in person to colleagues and suppliers.
What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
- Supporting the development, implementation and delivery of the legacy marketing and in memory strategies
- Developing, planning and delivering specific projects and campaigns
- Supporting the delivery of campaigns and communications, including the production of materials, audience and channels selections
- Producing analysis of results and campaign summaries.
- Playing a pivotal role in creating an internal culture to maximise legacy and in memory giving

We are incredibly delighted to be working with Brooke who are searching for an excellent Senior Acquisition and Welcome Officer. Brooke seeks to achieve lasting change for the lives of working equines throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America.
This role will join the Acquisition and Welcome Team, and will help to optimise acquisition activity, managing key channels including Direct Response TV (DRTV) and inserts, to support ambitious supporter growth as part of the charity’s 5-year strategy. As part of the role, you will manage all aspects of the DRTV programme, from working closely with agencies to proposing annual testing plans, to delivering all tests across media, SMS, telemarketing and website landing pages. This role requires managing agencies effectively, and maintaining robust reporting. You will be the expert in this area, and will raise understanding within Brooke of the importance of DRTV.
To be successful in the role of Senior Acquisition and Welcome Officer, you will need:
- Proven experience working in a fundraising or marketing role, with some experience managing DRTV and print channels, either on client or agency side.
- Good understanding of individual giving fundraising KPIs, including in relation to DRTV, print, telemarketing, email and landing pages.
- Experience of proactively creating new processes to improve efficiencies of own areas managed, with ability to interpret complex data into sharable reports.

The Role
One in three young people are growing up below the poverty line in Barnsley, leading to physical and mental health struggles, and significantly higher numbers of hospital admissions as a result. This new Youth Zone will transform the lives of thousands of young people for the better, and needs a Senior Philanthropy Manager to engage and inspire donors to support this unique, life-changing space. Duties will include:
- Identifying individual and corporate supporters, creating a picture and pipeline of potential donors.
- Generating pledged income through the delivery of a ‘Founder Patron’ campaign.
- Providing high quality stewardship to maximise donor retention.
- Organising events and activities to develop relationships with potential supporters.
- Maintaining, developing and leveraging existing relationships with Youth Zone project supporters.
The Person
We are looking for an inspiring and passionate individual with experience developing a pipeline of prospects and converting these to achieve targets. While major gift fundraising experience would certainly be advantageous, we are also keen to speak with people looking to embark on a career in this rewarding area from either a corporate, or broader fundraising, background. You should possess strong and persuasive written and verbal communication skills, and an unrivalled ability to listen to others and build mutual relationships. Perhaps most importantly you should be an inspirational storyteller, with the ability to bring a concept to life and to encourage supporters to give to this incredible cause.
