This is an exciting and challenging position, which will be pivotal in growing the acquisition programme as part of our 5-year strategy. Working closely with the rest of the A&W team and wider stakeholders, such as the Communications team, media and creative agencies, you'll help to optimise acquisition activity as we scale up investment in this area. This is an opportunity for someone to help make a real difference to a varied programme using a test and learn approach.
In addition to leading DRTV, this role also involves delivering a variety of other important activity as required, such as inserts and welcome journeys. There are opportunities to turn your hand to a range of channels and product promotion as we aim to scale up channels such as inserts.
Criteria
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual with excellent communication and analytical skills. You’ll enjoy looking for ways to optimise all elements of campaigns from creative, content and media testing and able to act as a key point of knowledge in this area. Experience of DRTV is required, with an understanding of individual giving fundraising KPIs, including in relation to: DRTV, print, telemarketing, email and landing pages. You will be confident working with data with attention to detail and accuracy, from briefing data criteria for emails to using excel to review and share results. You will also be able to engage wider stakeholders in our acquisition testing plan development, providing clear regular communication to update on progress and learnings.
Most importantly, you’ll be keen to deliver insight and audience-led, best in class fundraising campaigns to help Brooke realise an ambitious acquisition growth programme.

The role will be home-based and the successful candidate must be based in (or willing to relocate to) easy reach of the Northumberland, County Durham & Teesside areas and travel as necessary in the East Yorkshire area region. Our branch network is made up of groups of volunteers, led by a Branch Team Leader and overseen by a branch committee. Usually volunteering from their own homes, our branch volunteers foster cats until they are ready to re-home, raise funds to directly help the cats in their care, spread vital cat welfare messages across to members of the public, carry out trap-neuter-return activity, and much more!
Responsibilities of our Area Branch Development Manager:
As Area Volunteer Manager (Area Branch Development Manager) you will be accountable for the development, growth and local governance of branches within a designated area. Providing a solution-driven approach with the aim of helping more cats through the effective engagement of local volunteers. You will develop and deliver an area plan that captures the importance of volunteer engagement, recruitment, support, enabling and succession planning to ultimately achieve branch growth and sustainability. You will work collaboratively with other CP regional teams where appropriate, identifying where there are opportunities to achieve more by working together.
What we’re looking for in our Area Branch Development Manager:
- Proven experience of leading and managing volunteers
- Proven management experience including drafting operational plans
- Expereince of planning and implementing new processes and systems across a multi-site organisation
- Proficient IT skills, including all aspects of Microsoft Office relevant packages and knowledge of database management
- Personal and professional manner and credibility that generate trust and confidence in others
- Knowledge or interest of the animal welfare sector
- Hold current full clean driving licence

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Hall Farm in Snetterton for an experienced maintenance supervisor to work closely with the Centre Manager to efficiently maintain the general buildings and pasture at our Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Snetterton, Norfolk.
The key responsibilities of this role are to ensure an up to date, well-planned, effective preventative and reactive maintenance regime is in place. This role is responsible for a team of two maintenance assistants and is required to provide daily support and on-going training and development as required. You will be responsible for the critical systems such as drainage, water, lighting, heating and fire related alarm systems as well as ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. You will also be responsible for the pasture management and the use of all relevant chemicals and pesticides where necessary.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in general maintenance in relation to buildings, grassland/pasture management and have the ability to react swiftly to maintenance requests to meet strict timescales. You will possess excellent communication skills, highly organised with a sound understanding of the principles of H&S and Fire Safety in a similar environment. You will also be required to drive certain farm machinery such as tractors and transporters.

We are now recruiting for an Interim Assistant Director of HR Operations for an initial contract period of 9 months. Working directly with the Director of People and Culture and our senior team, you will provide leadership within the team and across the society to ensure the delivery of our People & Culture plan.
As a key senior member of our Senior Leadership Group, we need you to bring inspiration, direction and innovation, providing experience and service to all levels across the organisation. A key part of this role is the effective stakeholder management across all senior leaders as well as building a strong profile throughout the whole organisation both personally and as a team.
You will lead our HR Operations team which includes Business Partnering and Advisory, HR Information Systems and operations, Payroll and Talent Acquisition. We’re looking for a Portfolio Manager, who will design and implement a portfolio management framework to ensure Dogs Trust realises its strategic objectives in the most efficient way.
About this job:
As Portfolio Manager, you’ll:
- develop a portfolio plan, which will provide senior leadership with insight into key activities across the organisation, facilitating their ability to make effective decisions,
- work closely with other members of the Programme office to identify the best approach to integrating programme plans into the portfolio plan,
- design and present targeted, strategic reporting to help leadership make effective decisions,
- design and implement effective portfolio controls, allowing stakeholders to meaningfully understand the implications of any changes to scope, timescales and resource on the portfolio of programmes.
About you:
To be successful in this key role, you will need recent experience of managing a complex portfolio of programmes, pulling plans together into a clear organisational roadmap. Relationship building is a fundamental part of this role, which works very closely with senior leadership. The ability to have difficult conversations with tact and diplomacy is crucial, as well as influencing and motivating stakeholders. You’ll need to be a critical, strategic thinker, who acutely understands the ‘big picture’, proactively ensuring the organisation stays focused on it’s objectives. ROLE SUMMARY
ProVeg International is a growing network of currently eleven independent legal entities represented in twelve countries across four continents (Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Malaysia, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, South Africa, Spain, UK, and US).
We are seeking an experienced and committed International Senior Legal Coordinator to oversee international legal aspects of ProVeg and coordinate our governance & legal structure, trademark portfolio, the international legal affairs and data protection topics. They will be a strategic thinker who can make the best decisions in line with our organisation’s vision, mission, and values. The goal is to guide ProVeg International as a whole towards compliance and efficiency, stability, growth and long-term success.

Location: Remote (ideally in the UK, NL, PL, CZ, or ES)
Hours: full-time (32-40h)
Salary: Depending on experience and location: £27,000 - £35,000 gross per year for 1 FTE
RESPONSIBILITIES
Governance & Legal Structure Coordination
-
Support our internationalisation efforts and the set-up / registration of new country entities
-
Conclude & maintain necessary agreements (collaboration agreements, service agreements, contracts, and data protection agreements) between ProVeg International Inc. (US) and new and existing ProVeg legal entities, and liaise with external lawyers for advice
Trademark Coordination
-
Manage, oversee and expand the trademark portfolio of ProVeg International Inc.

Coordinate infringements actions with a trademark law firm

Support the development of a trademark strategy
-
Liaise/ manage contact with a trademark law firm
International Legal Affairs Coordination
-
Check and arrange international and national contracts and agreements for ProVeg C.I.C (UK) and ProVeg International Inc. (US) and liaise with external lawyers for advice

Ensure organisational compliance and assess legal risks. Advise the Senior Leadership Team on mitigation

Support ProVeg countries (provide templates for contracts etc. or general advice where possible)
Data Protection Coordination
-
Act as internal data protection expert (GDPR etc.) and work with colleagues (e.g. Communications, Fundraising, Operations) on compliance and data protection implementation

Manage, update, maintain and ensure compliance with GDPR and other international Data Protection Regulations
-
Ensure and monitor compliance with Data Protection Regulation for ProVeg’s International Departments and support countries with compliance with national Data Protection laws

Raise awareness of data protection compliance among staff and support data protection training

Liaise with internal Data Protection Coordinator (Germany) and external Data Protection Officer
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field required; graduate degree preferred
-
Broad legal knowledge, particularly regarding data protection, contracts, governance, business law, and related regulations. Knowledge around employment law, Trademark, and other areas strongly preferred.

Proven experience with a minimum of two to three years of working in a legal support role, ideally in the non-profit sector

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
-
Collaborative attitude, solution-focused, and supportive of international colleagues (particularly Country Directors, Heads and International Senior Leadership and Operations team)

IT skills, including Google Docs, with advanced proficiency in Google Sheets

Self-starter personality with the ability to work independently and with limited supervision

Excellent communication skills in English; additional language skills preferred

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, international, rapidly growing nonprofit work environment

Your new company
Working for an international scientific and conservation charity, headquartered in Central London. This is a permanent position which offers hybrid working (2 days in the office per week). Working hours are 8.30-17:00.
Your new role
- Reporting to the Finance Manager.
- Processing large volumes of supplier invoices, credit notes, expenses and international bank transfers in a timely manner.
- Supplier account reconciliations.
- Production and completion of four by-weekly payment runs.
- Review and management of Aged Creditors.
- Ensure the accuracy of coding and VAT treatment.
- Prioritising large volumes, ensuring supplier invoices are approved and paid within agreed terms and reviewing any denied invoices.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience using PO systems.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong experience in high volume end-to-end accounts payable processing.
- Multi-currency experience.
- Proactive individual with an eye for detail and accuracy.
