Funded by the Armed Forces Covenant Trust & NHSE, this work will transform the experiences of female veterans, and address barriers to access in areas including health and wellbeing, transition and employment, care, finance and pensions, housing, terms of service, historic hurt and loneliness. Collaborating across government, statutory, charity, and commercial organisations, the project will innovate within the sector, design sustainable provisions and translate research into action.

Reporting to the Project Lead for the Female Veterans Transformation Programme, you will be responsible for delivering the communication and engagement strategy during the course of the programme. This includes engagement and consultation with key stakeholders including Office of Veteran Affairs, MoD, NHS England, devolved nations health services, Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force (including Associations and charities), Veterans Commissioners, other veteran-facing organisations aligned through the Cobseo Female Veterans Cluster Group and female veterans themselves.

This role involves leading the home’s management, monitoring service quality, and working closely with the home’s manager to provide supervision and guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Compliance and Regulation:
  • Ensure the Children’s Home adheres to all relevant regulations, laws, and standards.
  • Maintain and demonstrate effective knowledge of children’s home practices, safeguarding, and compliance.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and aligned with the Statement of Purpose and national legislation.
• Leadership and Management:
  • Oversee the smooth running of the home, ensuring a safe, well-run environment.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the manager.
  • Monitor and improve service quality, implementing systems and processes to enhance safety and effectiveness.
  • Report to the Service Provider on the adequacy of resources, quality of service, and any areas of concern.
• Safeguarding:
  • Ensure all safeguarding processes are followed and regularly reviewed.
  • Actively promote a safe environment for young people, ensuring effective safeguarding policies are in place.
• Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
  • Implement systems to assess, monitor, and improve the quality of care provided.
  • Analyse patterns and trends from complaints, safeguarding incidents, and feedback.
  • Conduct audits of young people and colleague records, and monitor the outcomes of inspections and regulatory reports.
• Oversight and Accountability:
  • Establish clear lines of accountability between the RI and the home’s manager.
  • Ensure the Service Provider is informed of the home’s quality, safety, and overall performance.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience in managing or overseeing a children’s home regulated by Ofsted.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards in children’s services.
• Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding processes and how to apply them.
• Strong leadership and management skills, including financial management.
• Experience in working with young people and understanding their care needs.
• Ability to analyse service quality and implement improvements.
• Existing Responsible Individual registered with Ofsted.

Ideal Candidate:

A strong Responsible Individual will have hands-on experience in managing a children’s home and a deep understanding of the legal, safeguarding, and operational requirements. The candidate must be able to balance leadership and management responsibilities, ensuring the home operates smoothly and in full compliance with all regulations. This role requires a highly organised, proactive individual with excellent communication and analytical skills.

The role

Cruse Bereavement Support is the UK’s leading Bereavement charity. We help people through one of the most painful times of their lives through bereavement support, information and campaigning.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Service Delivery Co-ordinator to join our Somewhere For Us Project team.  The aim of the Somewhere For Us project is to ensure that children and young people feel supported on their grief journey.  The project service is co-designed with a Youth Advisory Group.  You will be responsible for the delivery of a range of bereavement supports to children, young people and communities across the Western and Northern Trust Areas and wider NI if required.  The support is provided through Understanding Your Child’s Bereavement online session for parents, group support, 1-1 support and Understanding Your Bereavement online sessions for children and young people.  Awareness sessions are provided to organisations and individuals working with children and young people within the community, for example sports clubs, community groups, schools, churches.  

The Somewhere For Us Project supports bereaved children and young people aged 8 – 25.  It is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund through their Empowering Young People funding stream.

The post is based in our Foyle office, with one day a week in Belfast.  The post is funded until the end of June 2027.

• To liaise with our administrative team concerning the progress of administrative checks and completion of the Form F.

• To be available to present completed Form Fs to the virtual fostering panel and provide support to the applicants through this process.
• To be aware of our child protection procedures and immediately report any child protection matter or concerns to a TACT manager and any relevant placing authority and the area authority.
• To carry out the duties in line with our Foster Carer and Supervising Social Worker Standards and Practice Guidance.

Rates of Pay for Form F Assessors

• We will pay £2000  (inclusive of VAT) upon successful completion of a Form F Assessment.
• £33 per hour for assessments which are not completed, and any other piece of work.

AWF is seeking a confident and highly organised Development Officer to join our ambitious External Affairs team on a part-time basis for 9 month maternity contract, beginning end September. The team is committed to cultivating a diverse pipeline of donors – individuals, corporations and foundations - and stewarding current donors whose contributions support AWF’s mission to ensure that wildlife and wild lands endure in modern Africa.This role is central to delivering AWF’s fundraising goals in the UK.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Donor Engagement UK, the Development Officer’s role is to provide back-end support to the UK fundraisers supporting the moves management process and smooth running of the virtual office, ensuring compliance with UK laws. The position will manage all elements of the virtual office, administration and reporting and support the team in managing portfolios of donors and prospects targeting mid-level and high net worth individuals, corporates and foundations.  

Key Responsibilities

Administration

• Manages virtual offices and membership programme payment processing in collaboration with our data services team based in the US.  
• Manages post where it relates to membership mailings. Manages orders for stationery and AWF materials needed to support mailings, events, and donor management (internal and external contracts).
• Support UK Director and Senior Manager, Donor Engagement in organising donor meetings.
• Manage travel and logistics for visiting AWF staff to the UK.

Portfolio growth and stewardship

• Works closely with the global research team to develop prospect lists for UK donors/partners – ensuring AWF is using the best possible tools for research and prospecting in the UK mindful of GDPR.
• Support fulfilment of UK donor stewardship plans to ensure all donors have appropriate and considerate communications from AWF working with AWF’s Communications team, Digital Officer and Director of Annual Giving.

Donor Information Management

• Oversees RE records for UK donors and prospects, making sure mailing lists are correct and can easily be drawn down for communications, maintaining accurate records of all donor interactions, individuals’ programmatic interests, trends in giving, and type of support to solicit.
• Works with Data Services and the UK team to review portfolios and make sure amendments are made on Raiser Edge ( RE).

Content Development and Communications

• Manages regular mailings to target audiences, as well as invitations to organisational wide donor engagement activities.
• Sends donor acknowledgements by email and phone calls (for smaller gifts).

Requirements and Skills

• Knowledge of the UK fundraising market, UK data protection guidelines and best practice and experience of working within these guidelines.
• Demonstrable knowledge of all Microsoft office packages, mail merges and mailchimp software.
• Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge software.
• Persuasive written communication skills in both creative and technical formats.

The facilitator role is a freelance position. We offer flexible hours with delivery taking place during school hours/term time in schools, partner offices or community event spaces. 

Our priority areas for delivery are in Scotland due to demand from our schools network. Please only apply if you can travel within Scotland to deliver workshops.

Safeguarding

The facilitator's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom they are responsible, or with whom they come into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Talent Foundry Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. If in the course of carrying out the duties of the role, the facilitator identifies any instance that a child is suffering or likely to suffer significant harm either at school or at home, they must report this in line with the Safeguarding policy. 

The facilitator will be subject to ID, DBS and criminal record checks. 

 This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior HR Admin transitioning to managing an HR standalone function. This is an interim full-time role based in Farringdon, with occasional travel to Bristol. You will have the opportunity to significantly contribute to the development of the HR function at Deighton Pierce Glynn (DPG).  The role supports all aspects of HR administration, the activities relating to recruitment & development, diversity & inclusion, promoting positive employee relations, reward, wellbeing and helping to ensure relevant HR policies and procedures are understood and followed. You will have the opportunity to work with the DPG team and the Senior HR Consultant, collaboratively, to develop the HR function, putting in place more structure and consistency at DPG.  You will also have the chance to undertake HR initiatives that help deliver the DPG People and Culture objectives.

You will have the ability to truly grow and develop within the role as you will be the main HR contact for all HR matters, with support from the Managing Partner, Practice Manager and HR Consultant.

Requirements:

• At least 2-4 years’ experience in a Senior HR Admin role with some generalist background including supporting ER cases.
• A desire to continue developing your HR experience, including studying the CIPD, and growing your career in this area.
• Able to demonstrate professionalism, discretion and confidentiality at all times.
• Strong emotional intelligence, relationship building skills and a genuine desire to help ‘make a difference’ in terms of helping the team to be successful through fair and consistent approach to developing HR practices that support their growth, motivation and well being.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confident using excel, word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work at pace and multitask.
• There is no requirement to already have experience of working for a law firm, however we are looking for someone with a keen interest in working for a law firm with a strong ethos of ‘using the law for good’ and promoting civil rights.
