Key responsibilities:

• Planning, preparation, and delivery of statutory reports, publications, external audits, and drafting the annual report and accounts within agreed timetables
• Supporting the Head of Finance in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of all the Trust’s financial records
• Working with the Head of Finance, complete and document the Charity’s rent lease incentive calculation (FRS102 on work related to lease incentive and adjustments)
• Producing a detailed audit schedule in a timely manner for review 
• Preparing monthly reconciliations and be responsible for the integrity of those
• Responsible for VAT accounting and carrying out adjustments
• Processing journals ensuring that all accounting entries are supported by working papers for analytical review and audit
• Be responsible for documenting year-end processes in the work of the Finance team
• Understanding the structure of the Trust and apply FRS102 on work related to lease incentive and adjustments

Successful candidate profile:

• Experience of drafting statutory accounts
• Expertise of working with partial exemption VAT
• Experience of working with service charge accounting and reconciliation
• Excellent finance system skills and advanced Excel user
• Experience of demonstrating FRS102 knowledge

About the role

This is an awesome role focussed on improving our ways of working and processes when it comes to those who support us. We want all of our supporters to have a first class experience when they decide to donate their time and/or money to supporting children and young people with cancer and their families. However we know that as an organisation we have more to do to make this happen and the time is now.

Working in Income Generation, this role will take a recently conducted diagnostic carried out by a business improvement consultant and not only work through the next steps but make change happen, prioritising the areas with the biggest wins. This role really will have a lasting legacy in the organisation.

We're not just looking for someone to map change, this person will lead operational design and process re-engineering that transforms the Income Generation directorate and it's workforce into high achievers. 

You’ll be based within the Project Management Office (PMO), a supportive team of professionals that lead transformational change across the organisation as well as corporate planning. You’ll also have close relationship with the Head of Planning and Strategy in Income Generation as well as the Associate Director Supporter Engagement.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Building on the diagnostics carried out already within Income Generation directorate to optimise organisational design and scope improvements. 
• Using the diagnostics to identify pain areas, develop a sequenced plan to tackle these issues and then implement the plan to improve performance, processes and services i.e. “getting hands dirty”.
• Embedding a culture of improvement in the organisation and developing these capabilities within the workforce.
• All of these activities will involve facilitating workshops, engaging audiences with tailored communications, debating and negotiating ideas with leaders, managing governance, risks and dependencies, evaluating progress etc.

The Finance Manager & Company Secretary role is a dual role where you will ensure efficient and effective planning and management of the charity’s finances and take charge of secretarial duties. The postholder will ensure appropriate financial policy and procedures are in place, to deliver effective financial management and decision making. You will produce management accounts, oversee financial reporting and assist with legacy administration. You will manage relationships with a variety of external financial advisors and insurers.

You will play a key role managing the charity’s secretarial duties. These responsibilities include submitting information to Companies House and the Charity Commission. You will work closely with the Executive Management team, maintaining legal and financial documents, while ensuring they are filed securely, providing regular information/documentation. You will attend Board and committee meetings, ensure processes and regulations are followed and take minutes in these meetings.

To be considered for this role, you will have a professional accountancy qualification – ACCA, ACA or equivalent. You will have demonstrable experience overseeing preparation of statutory, management accounts and audit processes. You will have experience of charity accounting, reporting and legacy administration. You will have experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office. You will also have the ability to explain financial processes to non-finance staff.

Since its establishment in 2011, the Foundation has focused on addressing key issues and promoting positive change in the communities it serves through strategic grant-making and partnerships.

The foundation donates £5-6 million a year in operational grants and funds a diverse portfolio of charities in the UK and Israel. Its focus areas include mainstreaming a preventative approach to health, creating a more cohesive society in Israel, and strengthening the UK Jewish and Brighton communities.

As the Foundation's portfolio and engagement across its funding areas has grown over the past few years, they are now seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grants Manager to join their small, dynamic team.

The Senior Grants Manager will play a key role in managing the Foundation's grant-making efforts. Supporting grantees over a multi-year journey to helping them achieve their goals, the Senior Grants Manager will need to be an excellent relationship-builder, with a strong knowledge of philanthropy, and a dedication to enhancing impact through effective grant-making.

Key responsibilities

• Grant Management & Compliance: Oversee all stages of the grant lifecycle, ensuring alignment with Foundation guidelines, values, and objectives.
• Relationship & Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong relationships with grantees, charities, and non-profit organisations, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Strategic Planning & Funding Prioritisation: Collaborate with leadership to design and implement strategies that reflect the Foundation's mission and goals, while identifying emerging opportunities.
• Evaluation & Reporting: Monitor grantee outcomes, assess programme effectiveness, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders and board members, highlighting impact and progress.

The Senior Grants Manager will have at least 5 years' experience in grant management, preferably in a philanthropic or not-for-profit organisation, or experience of grant-making, carrying out grant assessments and grant reports. The successful candidate will have a strong level of analytical skills, strong experience of working with a grant management database (The Bloom Foundation uses Blackbaud) and an interest in learning from grant making to inform future practice. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely and the ability to think strategically. You will have good relationship building skills and a high level of diplomacy and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment. You will be proficient in office software packages, including MS Office and Excel and confident working accurately with figures.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative team player. You will be interested in and committed to contributing to the overall success of a small and highly motivated organisation with a versatile and flexible approach and a "can do" attitude.

The role is based in a modern, vibrant office in Camden on the canal. You will initially work 4 days a week in the office with 1 day from home. Following a successful probation period, your working pattern will be a minimum of 3 days in the office with 2 days from home. There will be some evening events, and some travel involved nationally to visit grantees. About Wandsworth Oasis:

The roots of today's charity grew from one shop, on Battersea Park Road, opened in 1992. The shop's objective was to raise funds to support the Wandsworth Oasis AIDS Care Centre. As we grew, our trading charity was formally set up and from there other shops were opened. For over 20 years now, we have been supporting a number of London-based charities that align with our mission of supporting people living with HIV, raising awareness for prevention of HIV infection and challenging stigma.

About the role:

Salary: c£60,000 pa fte (c£48,000 pa actual salary)

The CEO will be reporting to the Co-Chairs and directly line managing the Head of Income Generation and the Finance Manager. The post holder will have responsibility for the management and statutory compliance of the organisation which is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. The CEO is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organisation as delegated by the Board, including the management of people and resources and operation of the shops. The CEO fulfils a critical support role to the Board in relation to governance requirements and will be expected to facilitate the development of strategic plans, ensure the sustainable and strategic management of the organisation in collaboration with the Board and, when appropriate, obtain external professional advice.

Responsibilities will include:

Mission and Strategy:

• With the Board and staff, shape the organisation's strategic and operational plans and lead their successful implementation.
• Optimise income streams and reserves to guarantee the charity's sustainability and development.
• Manage Wandsworth Oasis's grants programme to organisations and individuals, from application stage through to reporting from grantee organisations to ensure they achieve measurable impact.

Leadership and Governance

• Promote and role-model a positive and professional and compassionate workplace culture
• Work with the Co-Chairs to develop the Board and good governance practice and upholding regulatory requirements.
• Oversight of volunteer strategy and ongoing management of volunteers

Influencing and External relations

• Champion prevention of HIV, removal of stigma associated with HIV and the need for high quality support for people living with HIV.
• Maintain Wandsworth Oasis's external profile and influence with grantee organisations and applicants, other organisations in the HIV space, local stakeholders and networks where the charity operates.

We’re partnering with Christian Aid to support their recruitment of their Digital Optimisation Analyst on a permanent basis.

The organisation offers two options of working patterns for this role. They are open to candidates doing 2 days/week in the London office (£49,000-£52,900) or fully remote candidates (£44,000-£48,200).

The Digital Optimisation Analyst is instrumental in advancing Christian Aid's digital strategy and supporting colleagues in achieving digital, fundraising and supporter engagement goals. Through utilising measurable data and analytical tools such as Google Analytics, the role provides in-depth campaign analyses, performance reports, and a deep dive into users' online activities and behaviours.  The deliverable insights and contributions empower teams to make data-driven, impactful decisions that generate positive change across the organisation.

You will be the go-to expert in digital analysis (particularly GA4), working closely alongside a variety of teams to maximise the reach, engagement and conversion of digital journeys.

Key skills include:

· Demonstrates significant working knowledge/experience specialising in digital analysis and Insight

· Significant experience in producing analysis/reports with strong narratives from a variety of digital sources (including Google Analytics 4, email marketing, social insight, META and other tracking/performance monitoring tools) to inform and optimise marketing, fundraising and conversion rate strategies.

· Proficiency in statistical analysis to identify trends in data (e.g. descriptive and comparative statistics correlation, hypothesis testing, regression/data modelling), robust A/B testing, and project optimisation.

· Advanced understanding of tools and frameworks for monitoring the performance of digital marketing and products, including Google Analytics dashboards and custom reports.

· Advanced understanding of Google Analytics 4 (including funnel analysis, segmentation, and ecommerce tracking), Tag Manager, Hotjar (or equivalent), Content Square, Power BI, and Looker Studio.

· Ability to manage external suppliers that provide these tools and services.

· Able to interrogate relevant data sources to support the development of supporter journeys and identify problems/potential solutions to conversion, efficiencies, and user experience.

· Maintain and develop tracking requirements for website features and activities.

· Knowledge and application of tag management systems, including editing of tags.

· Experience developing and working on fundraising and campaigning KPIs and models.

· Experience in integrating digital data sources with CRM database systems.
