About the role:

As Specialist Project Worker Complex Needs, you will work creatively and collaboratively with women who have experienced VAWG. You will provide an effective high quality support service in an accommodation setting, working with clients facing Multiple Disadvantage, and living with complex needs as well as those with medium and low support needs. The role of complex needs project worker (Specialist Project) is a specialist role designed to understand the multiple disadvantages that victims of VAWG may face. As such you will understand gender informed practice and working with those who are victims of domestic violence and other gender-based violence. It is also essential that you understand the importance of best practice around those who have experienced multiple disadvantages by adopting a trauma informed approach in line with SHP’s psychologically informed framework.

Gender-based and gender informed support will also need to be offered such as attending MARAC, using a multiagency approach and helping your clients to reduce harm in relation to VAWG. We aim to offer a holistic approach to case working and you will also be expected to engage your clients with activities within the hostel, ETE and mental health support from external agencies in order to help them to move towards independence.

SHP’s aim is to improve outcomes for service users both within the service and by enhancing their ability to utilize external specialist, statutory and community services. The support you provide will ensure that clients are able to:

• Access and sustain their accommodation within our services
• Access and feel safe in engaging with specialist support in relation to their needs (i.e., substance use, health, mental health, complex trauma, offending, street activity}
• Access primary health care, and improving their wellbeing and process of recovery.
• Access work, training, and other opportunities,
• Be supported by, and be active in, their community
• Develop and maintain positive personal relationships

You will be part of a dynamic team in a Respite setting, holding a caseload of clients with the opportunity to draw on specialist roles within the team, the organization more broadly, and working in tandem with specialist external agencies. Your ability to forge meaningful relationships will provide the basis of the work to empower your clients, helping them to engage with a range of community resources and build a robust network of support.

About you:

• Previous experience of working with female rough sleepers or people with complex mental health, physical health or substance use support needs. 
• An understanding of working with people using person-centred approaches and working collaboratively within a harm minimisation and recovery framework.
• A flexible, innovative and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage and challenging client group, is also required.

About the role:

About The Role

At the National Memorial Arboretum, we believe in building on potential. As a Chef your ability to ensure the prompt service and provision of all meals and services could have a real impact on people’s lives.

The Arboretum is the UK’s year-round centre of Remembrance and part of the Royal British Legion

As a Chef you will be operating within one of two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings (Remembrance and Aspects) to supply catering across multiple outlets including self-serve 380 cover restaurant, table waited functions room up to 500, coffee shop, ‘pop up Foodservice outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum and hospitality. We are open daily from 10:00 till 17:00 7 days a week, we do some bespoke evening events in our Aspects building throughout the year.

If successful, the main duties of your role will be:

• Consistently maintain high standards of food service and provision to meet the expectations of our visitors
• Adopt operational responsibility for one area within the kitchen (for example one of the preparation areas, baking, hot meal production, etc)
• To operate across two full-production kitchens within two separate buildings to supply a 380 cover self-serve restaurant, table waited functions room, events and functions hospitality, coffee shop, and ‘pop up’ outlets within the grounds of the Arboretum.
• Ensure that the methods of preparation and presentation comply with the standards set by the Executive Head Chef
• Ensure that all areas within the kitchen and dining room areas are clean and tidy at all times, and all relevant documentation is up to date
• Daytime and evening Events catering up to and including formal banqueting for up to 500 attendees

You will have experience of working as a Chef in a busy kitchen together with a catering qualification and food hygiene training.  Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential together with the ability to work under pressure. 

You will be working 5 days out of 7 with the occasional evening work at events.

We are looking for someone with experience in managing programmes in complex business and technology settings with multiple delivery methodologies. You will have also managed the full lifecycle of a programme in the past, including facilitating programme governance, budget and risk management while ensuring the alignment of the initiatives to the programme’s aims and the organisation's strategy.

More about the role:

• Manage the development and delivery of Modernisation and Transformation Programmes in RSC.
• Ensure continuous alignment of the Programmes to RSC’s strategy.
• Support the Programme Governance Groups and associated groups in their decision making as set out in the terms of reference.
• Develop and manage Programme artefacts, manage interdependencies between various initiatives that span projects, products and other workstreams within a Programme.
• Take overall ownership of and oversee the effective management of Programme budgets, risks and issues.
• Take overall ownership of Programme’s benefits and realisation plan. Define, quantify, measure, monitor and report Programme benefits.
• Ensure that stakeholder management and communications are integrated into individual projects, products and other workstreams across the Programme. Ensure productive, two-way communication with all key stakeholders.
• Draft and provide support for business case development as required.
• Design, develop, maintain, monitor and report Programme plans, troubleshooting, or escalating issues where necessary.

• Significant experience of Programme and project management, roadmap development and management, directing strategic recommendations and decisions.
• Experience in overseeing and working across multiple delivery teams and implementations at the same time and able to accurately choose the appropriate management methodology for the task in hand.
• Demonstrates a sound understanding of our customers and their requirements.
• Experience in business impact and KPI development and reporting.
• Experience in risk management and mitigation.
• Proven ability to effectively interact with and influence key stakeholders.
• Demonstrable problem solving and change management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A sound knowledge of budgets and cost management.

This role will see you working to influence the policy landscape, and develop evidence-based policy positions, on issues concerning the Armed Forces community, with regards to family life and relationships; housing and homelessness; children & young people’s services and education, and communities with unique needs, including bereaved families and Non-UK serving personnel, veterans and families.

Repairs and Maintenance Coordinator

Salary: £24,020 - £30,790 per annum

The Role

The main aim of this role is to provide the coordination and administration of their day to day repairs and maintenance functions for both responsive, planned and preventative maintenance and compliance.

• Identify reported repair issues through consultation with the customer (and, where appropriate external services and wider housing team) allocate and schedule repairs following repair timescales in line with KPIs, and manage this process. 
• Ensure all periodic testing, e.g.  Gas Safety, Electrical Inspection, six monthly testing of Fire Alarm, Emergency Lighting, and other cyclical maintenance’ is completed within the required timescales by an approved contactor in line with targets/KPIs
• Ensure effective communication with customers, staff, contractors and all relevant stakeholders around timescales and access restrictions to properties/premises.
• Provide day-to-day coordination of the internal Repairs & Maintenance Operatives, and external contractors updating diaries, systems and schedules, to ensure within repair timescales.
• Be the first point of contact for Repairs & Maintenance Service for their customers, support workers, housing staff and contractors.
• Support to source and administer new external contractors in new and existing areas ensuring quality of work and value for money are being achieved.
• Investigate and process all maintenance requests and repair orders including reactive, planned and remedial works.
• Undertake property/void inspections and annual condition surveys when required, this could be in void or tenanted properties
• Provide effective support and coordination to the wider housing team, around property condition and repairs, to ensure effective joint working.
