B&HM is seeking a new Individual Giving Manager to join their talented and passionate small team. The Individual Giving Manager will develop, write, and deliver a robust individual giving strategy and activity program. With a focus on building strong, lasting donor relationships, the Individual Giving Manager will play a key role in driving increased support and engagement across all giving levels. This role offers the exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact, whilst building meaningful connections and inspiring generosity with passionate B&HM supporters.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to communicate with people on all levels both inside and outside the charity
- Understanding of direct marketing techniques used by charities to support campaigns and recruitment of supporters
- Proven experience of working in either a fundraising environment (ideally individual giving) and/or within sales
- Excellent administration and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and agreed funding targets

Fundraising Team Assistant
Temp, 3 months, possibly longer
Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Hybrid, 3 days in Swanscombe (Kent) and two days remote working
£12.41, plus £1.99 holiday pay – £12.92, plus £2.08 holiday pay (per hour)
Charity People are excited to be recruiting for a wonderful charitable organisation based in Swanscombe. This role will be suited to someone who has worked in a support role in nonprofits, maybe as an Assistant/Administrator who looking to develop their career in fundraising and the charity sector.
The successful postholder will be first point of contact for enquiries for the fundraising team both internal and external. You will also support on projects, events, and digital communications for the charity, to help optimise funds, and strengthen the supporter journey. Therefore, this would be a fantastic role for someone who is a proactive, brilliant communicator with people, confident and a good relationship builder.
You will bring experience of working in a nonprofit, and ideally have good experience of team support, fundraising, direct marketing, digital marketing and using CRMs. Experience of using Canva or Donorflex would be a huge advantage.
There is free on-site parking, and the station is within a few minutes’ walk from thew office, with a bus stop nearby also. Swanscombe is fairly accessible from London’s major stations typically taking between 45-60 minutes on the train.

The Role

Organise opportunities for corporate contacts to engage with the charitys work first-hand, including face to face meetings and events.
Take responsibility for researching and developing strategies to enhance existing portfolio of small to medium commercial partnerships.
The Candidate
Previous experience in an account management role developing, securing and retaining corporate and commercial partnerships and new business through effective and confident relationship building in a similar fundraising or sales role.
Demonstrable knowledge of the principles of charity/corporate partnerships, both account management and new business.

Community Fundraisers are remote/hybrid based, with some presence expected at your local office or Hospice. It is expected that you will be based within or in close proximity to the region e.g. North London. For this role, the post holder will need to be willing to travel to Embassy Gardens (Embankment, SW11 7BW) occasionally. Due to the requirement to be London based, this post holder can choose if they opt to recieve an additional £3,500 LLW on top of the offered annual salary. If selected, the candidate will cover the cost of travel into Embassy Gardens themselves.
This isn’t a role where you will be behind a desk every day, a good Community Fundraiser has a willingness to be out and about within your region meeting and supporting fundraisers.
