You will have demonstratable knowledge of the UK Muslim community and a strong understanding of community engagement for purposes of fundraising and volunteer engagement. As Chapter Clerk, you’ll ensure governance and regulatory compliance, support policy reviews, and manage health and safety, data protection, and committees. As Designated Safeguarding Lead, you’ll ensure best practices and uphold the highest standards of protection across the cathedral.
Who we are looking for.
You will share our passion for the cathedral's mission, vision, and values, and will actively support them. We are seeking a candidate with senior leadership experience in not-for-profit or faith-based environments, with a proven ability to unite diverse teams around a shared mission. Experience in managing multi-departmental organisations and overseeing income-generating portfolios, such as property, fundraising, retail, or events.
You should have experience working with boards of trustees and building relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong financial management and project management skills, including overseeing budgets and delivering major projects, are required. We are looking for a collaborative leader who can inspire and empower teams while fostering a supportive environment. Experience in health and safety, HR, and staff development is also important.

The Director of Fundraising will be responsible for leading the Fundraising Team at Concern Worldwide (UK), leading the development and delivery of an effective income generation strategy to support the wider organisation strategic plans. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will be a strategic leader and champion Concern Worldwide’s commitment to ensure no one lives in poverty, fear or oppression. With the opportunity to bid to a dedicated investment fund, this is an opportunity to implement innovative income generation practices and lead the team to embed these into the organisation. With the support from an engaged Fundraising Committee Board, SLT, as well as five direct reports this role will engage and motivate the whole organisation to achieve income generation success.
The successful candidate will be an experienced fundraising professional who can demonstrate innovative fundraising strategy creation and implementation that achieves successful income growth across a broad range of fundraising disciplines. This person will need to have previously managed teams or departments before and will be a strategic leader able to motivate their team, as well as working with other senior leaders. Experience:
- Minimum 7 years working in the philanthropy fundraising space, with extensive knowledge and experience of the charity and fundraising sector at a strategic level
- Extensive philanthropy fundraising experience, with ultra high net worth experience in particular required. Experience and working knowledge of Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations, Special Events, programme growth and innovation.
- Extensive experience of devising, implementing and delivering a philanthropy fundraising strategy which supports the organisational vision, mission and strategic objectives.
- Significant and proven experience of high value relationship management at 7 figure level

You will be responsible for creating and executing strategies to develop significant mid-level and major donor income (£1k – £25k), primarily by leveraging our existing strong networks. At the same time, you will support the Director of Fundraising and CEO by effectively stewarding existing major donors, ensuring that we continue growing strong relationships and sustained revenue.

Responsibilities within this role will include:
• Develop, implement and deliver the philanthropy fundraising plans, to achieve long-term income growth.
• Accountable for achieving targets in line with the annual business plan.
• Develop and implement individual cultivation and stewardship plans to motivate and ensure repeat support, including organising cultivation and stewardship events.
• Research donors/funders and produce compelling asks, proposals and presentations in line with our objectives and their requirements and interests.
To be considered for this role:
• You will experience working with major donors or corporate partnerships or Trusts.
• Ideally a brilliant relationship builder.
• Can research and has experience of working on or bringing in 5 figure gifts+

We are thrilled to be working with Herts Young Homeless to recruit an Individual Giving Officer to join their small, dedicated fundraising team.
Herts Young Homeless is a charity whose mission is to break the cycle of homelessness in Hertfordshire through education, advice and support for young people and their families. Set up in 1998, they support 16-24 year-olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and their services range range from prevention to early intervention, crisis support and independent living support. The work they do empowers young people to deal with the difficult situations in their lives, giving them the ability and confidence to 'do it themselves' and ultimately find stability.
The Individual Giving Officer reports into the Head of Fundraising and Communications and is responsible for the Individual Giving income stream, with a revenue target of £90-100K. The Individual Giving programme is relatively new so there is a lot of scope to grow it by providing excellent stewardship through meaningful engagement and thoughtful and creative communications.
To succeed in the role of Individual Giving Officer, you will need:
- An understanding of support acquisition and retention, supporter journey development and motivations for giving
- Experience of using a CRM database to support relationship management
- Understanding of developing fundraising or communication initiatives or campaigns
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000
