Role Overview: In this commercial development role, you'll focus on member recruitment to meet business targets. Your key responsibilities include researching sales leads, building a strong sales pipeline, and assisting the membership sales team with administrative tasks. You'll work closely with the Member Engagement and Development Manager to create and execute recruitment plans and drive member sign-ups through outreach and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in devising and executing member recruitment plans to achieve sales targets.
- Research and identify new sales leads, cold calling companies to explain membership benefits and value.
- Support the development of membership agreements and group memberships within organisations.
- Build and manage a sales pipeline, passing leads to the permanent sales team for closing.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify new partners and deliver recruitment targets.
- Drive membership sign-ups using events, existing relationships, and outreach.

The successful candidate:

Who are we looking for?
Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a communications role (or related field) along with excellent written skills. You will be working to develop press releases and build relations with relevant contacts and journalists and as such we require excellent communication and networking skills. You will have a strong track record of delivering engaging social media content across different channels and audiences to support organisational priorities. Experience of using creative software such as Illustrator, Premiere, Canva and Photoshop will be an advantage as well as possessing basic video editing skills. Knowledge of and experience of working with international non-profits or a comparable organisation or knowledge of issues linked to the charity’s work in either the waste management, environmental and climate change would be highly desirable however it is not essential for the role.

Horticultural Engagement Officer
Job Title: Horticultural Engagement Officer (hybrid/flexible working)
Salary: £ 23,893 FTE £32,000

As part of an engagement team across the Royal Horticultural Society, the Horticultural Engagement Officer will implement the RHS’ careers promotion and diversity initiative New Shoots at and in the vicinity of RHS Garden Rosemoor in Devon. This consists of careers outreach ,activities as well as onsite engagement programmes, such as taster days, work experience, youth volunteering and horticultural skills development programmes.
The Horticultural Engagement Officer will need to be creative, personable, and happy to be part of a remotely managed team based at all five RHS gardens, and will enjoy working with people from the age of 14 from a varied range of backgrounds. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to problem solve, have experience of engaging with diverse audiences and of working across teams. As the delivery of horticultural training is an essential part of the role, a horticultural qualification equivalent to RHS Level 2, or similar experience, is essential.

As Horticultural Engagement Officer you will be responsible for
• Delivering the RHS’ inclusivity and engagement programme New Shoots at and around RHS Rosemoor, focussed on building representation in horticulture from previously underrepresented groups. This includes occasional weekend work and travel across the UK with overnight stays.
• Developing and maintaining the Practical Training Hub, a training garden for future horticulturists within the grounds of RHS Rosemoor.
• Building and maintaining relationships with various teams within the RHS and with groups and organisations local and regional to RHS Rosemoor.

The role of Project Administrator is a permanent position. We will consider applications for the role on a full or part-time basis, with a minimum of 22.5 hours per week.
The focus of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the Household Energy Services (HES) team by providing team-wide administrative support and taking responsibility for coordination of daily and weekly tasks, maintaining accurate and detailed records, whilst overseeing processes and procedures that ensure HES is compliant with GDPR and Health and Safety requirements. Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Importing batches of client information into our client management system and ensuring uploads are working correctly. Addressing errors on our client database: merging data where it is held across multiple client records, deleting incorrect enquires and deleting duplicate client records.
- Make outbound calls to clients when required, such as booking home visits, and keeping client records up to date.
- Support HES team annual leave process, checking managers have approved internal team requests and updating allocations against projects on the staff planner.
- Manage and keep track of HES subscriptions to services or packages and coordinate payments and purchase orders with project managers. Make sure any details and logins are GDPR compliant.
- Responsibility for HES complaints handling procedure – providing guidance to managers handling complaints to ensure adherence to policy and tracking and recording responses.
- Support senior HES managers with recruitment work; liaising with appropriate teams within CSE in producing HES recruitment materials; onboarding new HES starters including providing thorough team specific information for line managers.
- Support senior HES managers with probations and interim review meetings; tracking progress towards probations. Tracking progress towards appraisal SMART objectives with support from the line manager.
- Be a GDPR champion for the HES team. Working with CSE’s GDPR officer and project managers to ensure procedures are compliant.
- Take a proactive approach to problem solving. Influence and contribute to improving HES systems and processes.
- Supervise and mentor the HES Project Administrator, support their learning and taking ownership for ensuring consistency of HES admin provision.

The team is committed to cultivating a diverse pipeline of donors – individuals, corporations and foundations - and stewarding current donors whose contributions support AWF’s mission to ensure that wildlife and wild lands endure in modern Africa.This role is central to delivering AWF’s fundraising goals in the UK.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Donor Engagement UK, the Development Officer’s role is to provide back-end support to the UK fundraisers supporting the moves management process and smooth running of the virtual office, ensuring compliance with UK laws. The position will manage all elements of the virtual office, administration and reporting and support the team in managing portfolios of donors and prospects targeting mid-level and high net worth individuals, corporates and foundations.
Key Responsibilities
Administration
- Manages virtual offices and membership programme payment processing in collaboration with our data services team based in the US.
