We're looking for a Support Worker to join our friendly team. You will cover West Essex (Harlow, Epping & Uttlesford), playing a pivotal role in supporting unpaid family carers who look after someone due to their age, disability, long-term physical or mental health condition or an addiction. You will support carers to manage the practicalities related to their caring roles and navigate support systems, alongside maintaining their own wellbeing.  You will provide carers with appropriate information, advice and guidance, from accessing benefits, peer support or respite breaks. You will mainly work in the community as well as from our offices or home.

We are hiring a part time Sanctuary Support worker to work in our crisis cafes. We have availability within Barnet and Enfield sites. The service is open 4.30-10pm Monday – Friday and 12.00 – 6.00pm Saturday and Sunday - 7 days a week

The Sanctuary (Crisis Café) is a service for all residents experiencing emotional distress, and at risk of developing crisis. The café is open 4.30pm – 10.00pm Mon-Fri, 12-6pm Sat & Sun. We provide helpling support, initial support meetings to immediately manage with the clients the distress they are in. We then coproduce support plans with clients and offer 121’s,support groups and workshops as well as a social and supportive place to be.

Box Tree Farm is a mental health Crisis House service, supporting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis within a recovery based model.  The service is a 24hr support service, operating 7 days per week 365 days per year.  Due to this our hours of work are scheduled and agreed via a rota system, agreed in advance with our teams.  We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a staffed service to support those aged 18 and upwards.

We know that recovery can look and feel very different to each and every one of us. But we also know that if we provide the right support, at the right time, we can inspire recovery nationwide and that recovery is possible for everyone. That’s where you come in. Responsible for helping and inspiring the people who use our services to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community, we’ll rely on you to work with them to come up with a personal support plan that will see them achieve their goals and aspirations. We are searching for a Peer Support Worker to join our Mental Health services. The role is a peer support worker, who would facilitate groups, and help us with the smooth running of Mind BLMK services. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the recovery journey needed to improve mental health and wellbeing.

Our peer support and recovery services are a key element of the services we offer, and we are looking for someone who can use their own lived experiences to provide support to help individuals achieve their goals. Service Delivery

• Facilitate Peer Support groups and ensure outcomes which support individuals
• with mental health and wellbeing needs and achieves the service’s KPIs.
• Support clients to access other services within Mind BLMK.

• Identify and build good working relationships with Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, community groups, relevant services and activities for partnership work and signposting as well as keep updated information about them.

Right now, we’re looking for a self-motivated individual to join us at our Recovery Near You service in Wolverhampton. This is a substance misuse service that works with adults aged 18+ and is run in partnership with Nacro and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust.

Your challenge? To provide advice, support, advocacy and key work for recovery plans and undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed. You’ll work not only from Aquarius offices, but also in primary care, arrest referral, hospital and youth settings and other outreach settings as required. And, all the while, we’ll expect you to operate in a way that recognises and values diversity and understands the functional model of substance misuse, the Recovery Agenda and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse.

Preferably with a NVQ 2/3 in Social Care, or willing to attain this, you can work within policy and procedural requirements that include child protection, vulnerable adults, confidentiality and health & safety. We’ll also be looking for good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain accurate records and fulfil data requirements. About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Depaul UK to help us develop our Step Forward (Floating Support) services in Cheshire West and Chester.

The Step Forward (Floating Support) service provides tailored support to young people aged 15-19 with care experience, to prepare for and transition into independent living in their own tenancy. The worker will hold a caseload and will support young people in working towards their goals which will lead to further independence.

Support will take place in young people’s accommodation and out in the community. The post will involve working closely with the allocated social worker and the Leaving Care Team, as well as local organisations, statutory services, and support agencies, to achieve the best possible outcomes for the young people we support. This service will be based alongside our accommodation service which provides Semi-Independent Accommodation for 16 and 17 year old young people who are leaving care.

Key responsibilities include:

· To complete a full assessment of each young person’s strengths, needs and goals to develop a holistic and strengths-based support plan and tailored programme of support.

· Provide a programme of support with young people to cover accommodation needs,

· independent living skills, support with education, employment and learning and social and emotional issues.

· To support young people aged 15+ to prepare for independent living and develop necessary skills.

· To understand and support young people using a trauma-informed approach,

· awareness and understanding of adverse childhood approaches and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)

· Where young people have moved into accommodation the worker will provide support through a programme of regular visits. These may include support and advice or more structured life-skills training as required.

· Help young people to apply for benefits, complete relevant application forms, train to learn budgeting skills and managing money, including support to prioritise and pay bills and rent.
