We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and talented Senior National Fundraising Officer to join our team during an exciting time while we grow our Individual Giving programme.

This pivotal role works with a range of colleagues across our income and engagement teams to manage key projects and develop innovative and compelling multi-channel fundraising campaigns.

The successful candidate will be responsible for retention and acquisition campaigns that talk to thousands of individuals, using their direct marketing and fundraising skills to effectively generate income and build relationships with supporters across a wide range marketing channels and different activities. You will also manage the delivery of specific new products and will work collaboratively with other teams on our integrated campaigns e.g. a Christmas appeal (Secret Santa).

Let's talk about you 

An innovative, dynamic and experienced direct marketer, you use your insight-based decision making to plan and deliver exceptional fundraising campaigns. You have experience working with different direct marketing channels such as direct mail, telephone fundraising and sms.

Highly collaborative, you are used to working with a range of internal and external colleagues to efficiently deliver projects and campaigns which maximise income.

You use insight and your strong analysis skills to test and optimise your campaigns and take learnings along the way. You are innovative and use creative thinking to see different ways to elevate your campaigns and look for new ways to raise income to support vulnerable children and young people.

You will have:

• Relevant fundraising & substantial direct marketing experience and can demonstrate has been applied to drive revenues in a complex organisation/charity.
• Specific experience of acquisition & loyalty funnel management to a public audience (mass).
• Experience of setting up and ongoing managing relationshipswith external suppliers.
• Extensive experience of project management, including delivering to timescales and budgets.
• Excellent IT skills particularly including using CRM system and excel.
• Experience with digital marketing platforms such as content management systems, email marketing systems, social media tools and web analytics would be an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, to prioritise work and meet deadlines with well-developed time management skills.
• An understanding of other channels (such as digital channels) and the wider marketing mixes impact on fundraising & marketing.

Role context:

The Finance Manager role is a newly created role which is being introduced to strengthen the organisation’s financial management and control systems. The postholder will work across the breadth of the finance function preparing internal management accounts and external annual accounts.

In 2024, Cord changed its finance system to use Business Central. The Finance Manager will become the organisation’s main ‘admin’ user of the finance system. In the near-term, there will be a particular focus on rolling out further functionality of the system.

The Finance Manager will have oversight of the UK finance function through the line management of the UK Finance Officer and will directly deliver on the international side of operations in the areas of donor compliance, programme financial management, partner financial monitoring, and reporting. The role will involve travel to international programme locations.

About the role

We’re looking for a Legacy Marketing Officer to join our Individual Giving and Legacy Team.

It’s an exciting time to join the Legacy Team as we are embarking on a new era for legacy and in memory giving at Young Lives vs Cancer.  In memory giving and gifts in Wills left to us by our supporters are essential to ensuring we can help generations of children and young people who will sadly be living with a cancer diagnosis. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Legacy Marketing Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting the Legacy Marketing Manager to plan, implement and deliver legacy and in-memory strategies.

The Legacy Officer will work on a range of legacy and in-memory campaigns, materials and supporter centric journeys across multiple channels.  As a team we will maximise legacy and in memory giving and acquire new legacy and in memory supporters, as well as nurturing existing supporters who have expressed an interest in leaving a gift in their Will for the future of Young Lives vs Cancer’s work. 

The role will suit a passionate and creative individual who thrives on working collaboratively and who is able to manage end to end projects and supplier relationships.  There will be a need to analyse data to monitor performance as well as identifying trends and opportunities. Fulfilment mapping is also a key element of the role as well as being comfortable presenting in person to colleagues and suppliers.

The Evaluation Manager is pivotal in spearheading the strategic planning, delivery and dissemination of Magic Breakfast’s day-to-day evaluation activity, as part of the wider Impact and Insights Team’s approach to communicating research, evaluation and insights. They will hold responsibility for planning, coordinating and delivering a comprehensive programme of evaluation projects to support evaluation and impact measurement, continuous improvement, business development and communication. Key Responsibilities

Operations

a) Day to day supervision of office volunteers, including rota production

b) Ensure the databases are used accurately, kept up to date and maintained within GDPR guidelines

c) Ensure that day to day activities are executed professionally and economically

d) Ensure all administrative functions are completed effectively and in a timely fashion

e) Ensure all mandatory documentation is completed and accurate records are maintained

f) Identify and introduce continuous improvements to working procedures

The Policy and Campaigns Manager is responsible for leading on CLAPA’s campaigning and policy work across the UK.  This is a new direction for CLAPA and a key part of the role will be to develop a clear strategy and action plan to ensure a focused and targeted approach to this area of work.   

The post-holder is responsible for ensuring that work is delivered to the highest standard and that the wider staff team and board of trustees are kept informed on progress and development.

Following its successful relaunch, the Air Cadet Charity is seeking a highly motivated Trust and Major Donor Fundraiser to help it achieve its aims of supporting and developing the young people of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The Air Cadet Charity, until now, has had to rely on donations but Trustees have decided to expand our income generation streams in order to enable us to do more for each and every Royal Air Force Air Cadet. Our activities and projects include supporting flying, adventurous training, drone piloting, participation in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, national sports and national music competitions, BTEC qualifications, STEM development as well as many others. Although the Charity had been around in a different guise for many years this is an opportunity to join a vibrant young charity at the start of its new journey to do more for the young people of our Nation.

The role will focus chiefly on sourcing funding from charitable trusts who share our goal of developing our young people, equipping them with the skills to prosper not only in the present but also for the rest of their lives. Some cadets will join the Royal Air Force, but the majority go on to forge careers in all walks of life thanks to the opportunities provided by the Air Cadets and the Air Cadet Charity. Our policy is to spend all that we earn and to dip into our capital if required. Annual expenditure and income is around £900,000 each year and our aim is to increase this to around £1,500,000 by 2029. The successful applicant will have tried and tested charitable trust fundraising skills such that they contribute the majority of the additional funds required to make this ambition a reality although we recognise that this will not be an overnight goal!  In addition, the successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills enabling them to encourage donations from major donors and all who would wish to support the development of our young people.

The role will work directly to the Charity Director, will suit someone who is able to work as the sole fundraiser – although there may be scope to increase our resources as our ambition grows – and not afraid of hard work and added responsibility. It will be primarily working from home with regular contact with the Charity Director and the Trustees responsible for fundraising.

Pitching, presenting and proposal writing should be a strength, that can be evidenced through successful fundraising. Specific knowledge of charitable trust fundraising is essential and wider knowledge of other fundraising specialisms would be advantageous, such as Major Donor and Corporate. We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious team player, able to work from your own initiative.

Key Focus areas

• Expert knowledge of charitable trust fundraising with a track record in designing and securing major gifts through written and/or verbal proposals.
• A track record in securing income from individual donors, Major Donors and Philanthropists including knowledge of legacy fundraising.
• Develop engaging supporter journeys and Legacy pipelines.
• Provide an exceptional experience to our supporters.
• Strong understanding of fundraising principles but most importantly doing the right thing at all times.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

Salary £35k-£40k per year pro-rata, 26 days annual leave (not including bank holidays).

The Individual Giving and Supporter Care Manager will develop and implement campaigns that build our supporter base along with retaining our existing supporters. Through compelling and personalised supporter journeys, you will ensure our supporters feel like our partners in ensuring that no child’s life chances are limited.

You will communicate effectively with our supporters and build a strong connection with them by placing supporter care at the heart of our work, while also engaging potential new supporters.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will be responsible for all supporter care activities and our acquisition campaigns. You will also manage the Supporter Care Officer and will create a supportive environment where you will help them achieve their objectives.

You will have experience of working in an individual giving/supporter care team or marketing role within the charity sector managing campaigns and supporter communications. With a proven track record in delivering successful campaigns, the ability to work to tight deadlines and with excellent attention to detail, you will be able to effectively manage key relationships internally and externally to deliver on campaigns with agreed time frames.
