About the role:
When a family member has a spinal cord injury, it can be difficult to acknowledge and accept that their injury will affect you too.
You might find it difficult to express and share how you have been affected by these events, especially to your loved one with the injury. Overwhelming feelings of guilt, helplessness, confusion and isolation are very common.
Back Up’s Family Support team are there to help. Right from the point of injury, our Family Support Coordinators work together with the family and the injured person to create their own ‘Family Plan’ - making sure they have access to information and support throughout the rehabilitation journey.
As a Family Support Coordinator, you will build relationships with professionals to encourage referrals and manage a caseload. Whether it be meeting family members in a clinical setting, providing a listening ear from someone who ‘just gets it!’, or making referrals for ongoing support from a range of partners or statutory agencies – you will be passionate about being able to demonstrate the impact of what we do, and will see for yourself how Back Up quite literally transforms lives.

This is an exciting and challenging position, which will be pivotal in growing the acquisition programme as part of our 5-year strategy. Working closely with the rest of the A&W team and wider stakeholders, such as the Communications team, media and creative agencies, you'll help to optimise acquisition activity as we scale up investment in this area. This is an opportunity for someone to help make a real difference to a varied programme using a test and learn approach.
In addition to leading DRTV, this role also involves delivering a variety of other important activity as required, such as inserts and welcome journeys. There are opportunities to turn your hand to a range of channels and product promotion as we aim to scale up channels such as inserts.
Criteria
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised individual with excellent communication and analytical skills. You’ll enjoy looking for ways to optimise all elements of campaigns from creative, content and media testing and able to act as a key point of knowledge in this area. Experience of DRTV is required, with an understanding of individual giving fundraising KPIs, including in relation to: DRTV, print, telemarketing, email and landing pages. You will be confident working with data with attention to detail and accuracy, from briefing data criteria for emails to using excel to review and share results. You will also be able to engage wider stakeholders in our acquisition testing plan development, providing clear regular communication to update on progress and learnings.
Most importantly, you’ll be keen to deliver insight and audience-led, best in class fundraising campaigns to help Brooke realise an ambitious acquisition growth programme.

As Specialist Project Worker Complex Needs, you will work creatively and collaboratively with women who have experienced VAWG. You will provide an effective high quality support service in an accommodation setting, working with clients facing Multiple Disadvantage, and living with complex needs as well as those with medium and low support needs. The role of complex needs project worker (Specialist Project) is a specialist role designed to understand the multiple disadvantages that victims of VAWG may face. As such you will understand gender informed practice and working with those who are victims of domestic violence and other gender-based violence. It is also essential that you understand the importance of best practice around those who have experienced multiple disadvantages by adopting a trauma informed approach in line with SHP’s psychologically informed framework.
Gender-based and gender informed support will also need to be offered such as attending MARAC, using a multiagency approach and helping your clients to reduce harm in relation to VAWG. We aim to offer a holistic approach to case working and you will also be expected to engage your clients with activities within the hostel, ETE and mental health support from external agencies in order to help them to move towards independence.
SHP’s aim is to improve outcomes for service users both within the service and by enhancing their ability to utilize external specialist, statutory and community services. The support you provide will ensure that clients are able to:
- Access and sustain their accommodation within our services
- Access and feel safe in engaging with specialist support in relation to their needs (i.e., substance use, health, mental health, complex trauma, offending, street activity}
- Access primary health care, and improving their wellbeing and process of recovery.
- Access work, training, and other opportunities,
- Be supported by, and be active in, their community
- Develop and maintain positive personal relationships
You will be part of a dynamic team in a Respite setting, holding a caseload of clients with the opportunity to draw on specialist roles within the team, the organization more broadly, and working in tandem with specialist external agencies. At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from statutory funding? The rest has to be raised through fundraising activity.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Income Generation team at Bluebell Wood and we are now on the lookout for a dynamic and driven individual to develop and manage the organisation prize-led fundraising income streams.
Bluebell Wood’s weekly lottery and seasonal raffles are crucial for our care funds. Using your strategic thinking and commercial experience, you will oversee prize-led development and operations, ensuring targeted income levels are achieved in line with relevant governance.
The successful candidate will work alongside the Individual Giving Manager to implement strategies to ensure participation grows year on year in alignment with the business plan, whilst also working to both maximize the net contribution of all Bluebell Wood gambling products and to develop new products with this donor audience in mind.

Our direction of travel is to always be creative and ambitious in our growth, therefore we are looking for somebody who is driven to continually improve and develop our income generation opportunities.
To fulfil this role effectively you will be target-drive, have experience managing budgets and will develop and implement thought provoking campaigns to engage both current and new supporters to maximise income.
You’ll also have a solid understanding of relevant regulations and codes of conduct, be proficient in data management, and ensure compliance with the Gambling Act 2005

RASASC Guildford - Making a difference to the lives of those affected by rape and sexual abuse
Position: Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)
Hours: 35 hours per week Monday to Friday
Salary: From £27,498 rising to £28,498 to £28,498 on successful completion of training, probation and six-month review.

This is a new opportunity to join our Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) team.

RASASC is a registered charity which has been providing support to survivors of rape and sexual abuse of all genders (both recent and non-recent) and young people aged over 13, from across Surrey since 1992.
We provide an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Service. ISVAs support survivors to help them overcome the abuse they have suffered and to rebuild their lives. This service also includes supporting the survivor to seek justice through the judicial system, should the survivor wish.
We also provide one-to-one counselling, group work, youth counselling and a family support programme, and a national telephone helpline and live chat service.
Volunteers are an important part of the work we do. Volunteers staff our Helpline and many of our qualified counsellors work on a voluntary basis with survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
ISVA
ISVAs are survivor-focused advocates, who support survivors of recent and non-recent rape and sexual abuse to enable them to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse they have experienced. An ISVA provides individual support and this will vary from client to client.
This role is based at the RASASC Guildford office and will work across Surrey. The ISVA must have a full driving licence and use of a car that can be used for work purposes.
You will be part of a dedicated, experienced, and friendly team consisting of nine ISVAs. The ISVAs meet fortnightly for peer support and work collaboratively with each other to share knowledge. Each ISVA has a lead area of responsibility in addition to your caseload supporting a range of clients.
You will be provided with monthly clinical supervision and attend monthly one-to-one meetings with the ISVA team leader.
Job Description
- To support survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
- It is the responsibility of the ISVA to impartially advise the client on all options open to them, such as the Criminal Justice System, SARC, GUM clinic and other local services.
- The ISVAs are expected to balance a caseload that includes survivors progressing through the criminal justice process as well as survivors that have decided not to report, or who are no longer in the criminal justice process.
- The ISVA will be based at Guildford RASASC but will be expected to travel throughout Surrey.
- The ISVA is expected to carry out other duties from time to time which are broadly consistent with those in this document, as the job description cannot cover every issue which may arise within the post.
Key Tasks
· The ISVA will provide a survivor-focused, independent service, distinct from the role of a crisis worker or counsellor.
· Undertake risk assessment and support needs analysis with survivor and develop a support plan for the survivor.
· To provide advice and support across a wide range of issues, such as housing, health and education, that will help to support the survivor and ensure their ongoing safety in the aftermath of the abuse.
· Manage caseload and maintain necessary case files and records including monitoring information as required under funding conditions and by RASASC.
· To provide expert advice and support in relation to issues and the impact of rape and sexual abuse on this client group to other members of the ISVA team as well as the wider RASASC team.
· The ISVA will be required to undertake accredited training specifically designed to support them in delivering this service. This training is held in Manchester and is delivered over six module. Each module is taught over two consecutive days to minimise the amount of time ISVAs are away. Currently this training is delivered virtually although this may change.
- Fulfil relevant monitoring processes as requested by the ISVA Team Leader or the Fundraising Manager.
- To attend monthly one to one supervision with team leader and fortnightly clinical supervision.

- Knowledge and understanding of child and vulnerable adult protection procedures and information sharing protocols

The Legacy and In Memory Manager will take ownership of Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex's (KSS's) approach to Legacy and In Memory Giving.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver and oversee all day-to-day activity around legacy and in memory fundraising, ensuring campaigns and activity are effectively coordinated and that broader teams are enabled to support delivery
- Own, develop and deliver a range of impactful, innovative and insight-led fundraising campaigns to a range of audiences, and produce accurate and regular campaign evaluations, providing future recommendations
- Drive forward KSS Legacy Fundraising strategy and look to implement an In Memory Giving fundraising strategy to increase income
- Lead on the development and delivery of the In Memory fundraising programme including the creation of a tribute fund programme
- Establish, develop and maximise the potential of tribute funds at KSS and manage the relationships with associated families/supporters.
- Identify new ways to increase the efficiency of campaigns and activity by developing, testing and evaluating new approaches to donor acquisition, retention and engagement.
- Work with colleagues within marketing and other teams to implement new methods, and channels that deliver scalable growth.
- Own the welcome experience for in memory donors and those who have enquired about legacies, and work collaboratively to ensure that ongoing processes for thanking, stewardship and donation processing are effective.
- Implement and continuously review processes and practices to ensure that a high level of supporter service is maintained
- Manage and develop the relationship with all external agencies and providers who are engaged in our lottery and in memory

About the role
Location: Community based in Norfolk and Waveney, with some homeworking elements.
As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives.
This is a community-based role which will involve some home working, meeting clients in the community and involve having a base in local NHS partner facilities. We are building links with GP’s and Memory assessment centres, Hospitals and other services. We educate and join, refer, direct and support.
The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. You will offer support to your clients in a variety of ways, whether in the client's own home, or at other locations in the community, face to face, by phone, letter, or email. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals.
Your role will include:
- Supporting people affected by dementia, families and carers to access vital services.
- Improving people’s sense of well-being, enabling them to have more control over their lives.
- Assisting with the identification of needs, providing information and access to relevant services.
- Promoting our amazing service and building relationships with a range of health and social care professionals.
About you
- A great communicator with a passion for supporting carers and people living with dementia.
