Job Title: Business Administration Apprentice

Salary on appointment: £24,570 - £27,027 per annum*
*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £24,570 to £31,460. The salary on appointment will be set at the lower end of the pay range, to a maximum of 10% above the base salary, depending on the candidate's skills and experience. This approach aims to ensure fair compensation for new hires while maintaining alignment with the structured pay scale for the role.

Purpose of Role
The Business Administration Apprentice will play a crucial role in supporting functional teams, including Finance, People, Governance and Communications to deliver our strategy. The Apprentice will undertake a structured training program, combining work-based learning with academic study, to develop essential administrative and organisational skills.
The role will work rotationally across teams, resolving issues as requested. The post involves developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services.

The role
As Centre Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of this busy, vibrant community centre and engaging with the community and hirers to present a welcoming, friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Your role will include:
- promoting Malvern Cube and what it offers, developing and maintaining a strong community presence and ensuring that the facilities are well used and hire income is maximised.

About this role
This new role, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, is an exciting opportunity to join our team who have been supporting adults with learning disabilities for almost 40 years. As we look to the future, we need to consider new opportunities to build partnerships and collaborations to build a strong, resilient network of third-sector organisations in Swindon and the surrounding area.
Main responsibilities
- Work with the trustees, staff, volunteers and members to develop and deliver against a Strategic Business Plan.
- To act as the lead relationship manager with partners on behalf of The Open Door Centre.
- Take responsibility for diversifying fundraising, grants and income streams in line with the strategy and business development plan, be proactive in developing new leads and connections.
- Explore and develop joint grant bids by liaising with external partners to support grant applications that align with our strategic aims.
- Develop, monitor and maintain key systems and processes, such as effective funder reporting and review meetings, and monitoring and reporting on fundraising KPIs.
Skills, competencies and experience
- Skills and experience in third sector fundraising, preferably including corporate fundraising, funder reporting and grants and confidence in identifying and developing new opportunities.
- A demonstrable proactive approach to engaging with new and existing funders to set up and develop lasting relationships.
- Ability to prepare high-quality funding proposals/grant applications and reports, adapting the communication style for different audiences and stakeholders to maximise impact.
- A skilled communicator (verbal and written) who can gather information and enthuse individuals both internally and externally.
- The ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Excellent organisational skills with firm understanding of KPIs, targets, budgeting, and risk mitigation plans.

Other information
This post will be a hybrid role with some time spent in the Centre in Gorse Hill, Swindon, some remote work, and attendance at meetings and events in the Swindon area - this could include evenings and weekends.

The role
To lead the Disability Business Partners team. The Disability Business Partner team engage with and develop productive working relationships with the BDF membership.
The Disability Business Partner – Team Lead will recruit new members working and contributing to a highly developed, closely monitored and constantly refined membership recruitment strategy. Secondly the Disability Business Partner – Team Lead will have direct responsibility for their assigned Members and ensuring each of their Members uses the members services available most appropriate to them and takes opportunities to introduce our paid for services where it is beneficial to the Member.
The requirement
- Proven track record of staff and/or team management.
- Track record of successfully providing paid for solutions meeting agreed financial targets.
- Experience of providing support and advice to experienced professionals.
- Able to maintain accurate data collection records and recognise the importance of such
- Able to priorities a full contact list and workload.
- A thorough understanding of the sales process and an ability to motivate the Team to achieve and exceed targets.

About the Role
As Head of Business Support, you will provide expert advice, guidance and reporting to ensure that Solace Women’s Aid meets it’s statutory responsibilities with regards to health and safety, as well as providing innovative solutions to existing issues and ensuring that future changes are anticipated.
Acting as subject matter expert you will develop systems and processes for services to adopt to ensure we have an effective risk management approach to compliance within Solace Women’s Aid.

About You
You will be experienced in the field of property management having worked in a similar setting before. You will bring a wealth of knowledge surrounding best practice based on your own practical experience and you will have achieved, or be working towards your Chartered IOSH status.

You will be passionate about meeting the needs of our service users and will have a can do attitude.

- Has proven business and financial acumen to assess strategic opportunities
- Has strong English writing skills for developing high quality funding proposals for philanthropic audiences and reports
- Has persuasive presentation skills, able to influence decision-making
- Has strong communication and networking skills
- Has a keen interest in the environment and environmental issues
- Is keen to travel and engage with philanthropic funders both in the UK and internationally
- Shows initiative and can work in a team as well as independently
