We're seeking a Membership Growth Manager to work for the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), a non-profit professional membership body. The successful candidate will drive membership numbers by bringing on new large organisational members, individual members, and develop relationships with new business leads.
The role manages the strategy of acquiring new members, enhancing a pipeline of new business targets through outreach, events and networking. The successful candidate will create suitable value propositions, negotiate agreements with companies and bring on large membership subscriptions. This will include some cold outreach and networking to generate and nurture new leads.
The CIWM has recently acquired the Circular Economy Club (CEC), an international members club with over 11,000 members in 100+ countries. This role will include managing the sales strategy for the development of the CEC's membership growth initiatives.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager to join an innovative and independent Clinical Trials Unit (UKCRC fully registered) and help to deliver high-quality research in a unique and challenging setting. You will be key to helping us to successfully set-up and deliver an exciting new adaptive platform trial in paediatric intensive care as well as and helping our unit adapt ahead of conducting a phase II drug trial in critically-ill adults. You will ensure best practice, identify risks and mitigation strategies enhance local Standard Operating Procedures, interpret regulatory and audit requirements and provide guidance, training and support for clinical researchers and trial teams. The post will also involve leading in audits along with preparation for MHRA inspections.
What you will need to succeed
The Applicant must have clinical research experience and experience of conducting managing, auditing or monitoring according to the principles of Good Clinical Practice. A sound knowledge of Good Clinical Practice guidelines, the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research, the Data Protection Act and the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations 2004 and its amendments is essential.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, team working and organisational skills together with a high level of attention to detail. They must be able to work independently with a strong problem-solving ability. The ability to relate to and communicate clearly, sensitively and effectively with people from a variety of professional and personal backgrounds are also essential.

About The Role:
The successful candidate will support the Community and Challenge Event Manager to find ways to increase engagement and bring fresh ideas to the team and steward fundraisers. We have an exciting opportunity for a Research and Evaluation Specialist to join our Research and Performance department at The Active Wellbeing Society. Our head office is based in Tyseley (Birmingham) and we are offering this as a hybrid role, including working from the head office, across Birmingham and home working, with national travel when required. This role is responsible for research and evaluation across all areas of the organisation to support strategic and operational decision-making. This includes primary research (surveys, interviews, focus groups, participatory research etc.) and data analysis skills to produce recommendations and actionable insights to drive behaviour change, and adapt and improve our practice.
You should have experience of designing and leading mixed method research projects (quantitative and qualitative), using a range of tools to analyse and evaluate a variety of datasets and interpreting your findings into robust recommendations. You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt these to different audiences. The role will support the Research and Insight Manager.

Background:
Due to significant losses during the Covid pandemic, a Club appeal for donations was launched in 2020. The Friends of the RAF Club was established in 2021 to recognize these generous Members, many of whom have maintained their donations which have subsequently funded key refurbishment projects in the Club. Support of The Friends contributes significantly to the Club’s financial recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
The Director of Fundraising will be expected to deliver in 3 key areas:
DEVELOPMENT OF THE MEMBERSHIP GIVING JOURNEY
- Enhance the Friends Scheme through life giving and particularly ending with the Legacy commitment:
- Review and manage the fundraising strategy
- Retain, recruit and steward the Friends of the RAF Club
- Devise and implement a legacy strategy
- Devise and implement a series of engagement and stewardship events for the Friends of the RAF Club
CAPITAL CAMPAIGNS
- Deliver the funding to help pay for capital projects within the Club:
- In liaison with the House Committee, devise and manage the 2025 appeal campaign to fund the refurbishment of The Running Horse Tavern (the Club’s onsite ‘pub’)
DELIVERY OF ASSOCIATED ADMINISTRATION
- In compliance with the Fundraising Code, GDPR and all other associated regulations:
- Run Friends and Legacy schemes
- Timely and appropriate communication and follow-up with all relevant parties (accepting this is a part-time role)
- Event delivery for Friends events
- Manage the systems and processes to track, administer and report on donations received
- Prepare and produce fundraising marketing collateral.
- Prepare and submit Gift Aid claims

We are seeking for an Executive Assistant to work closely with our Chief Executive. With a commitment spanning over several decades, we aim to ensure that our operations and strategic initiatives are executed flawlessly, contributing significantly to our mission's success.
In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the Chief Executive's effectiveness by providing comprehensive support, managing sophisticated calendar arrangements, and facilitating internal and external communications. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of activities from coordinating travel and scheduling to preparing and editing important documents and presentations.
You will also be involved in conducting research and analysis on relevant topics, organising meetings and events, and serving as a liaison to the Board of Trustees. The role demands a high level of discretion and professionalism in managing the Chief Executive's social media presence and supporting donor/funder relations.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, demonstrating exceptional organisational, communication, and management skills. Experience in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks, with the ability to work independently with little or no supervision, is crucial.

An experienced Utilities Administrator to lead and be responsible for the management and administration of the utilities in Nacro Housing’s residential properties including gas and electricity, water and council tax accounts along with managing other accounts.
This will include problem solving, devising and implementing solutions through the postholder developing new processes and good practice to improve efficiency and reduce expenditure.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Trouble shooting on problems in relation to utilities management, especially gas and electricity supplies, changing ineffective ways of working to deliver effective and sustainable processes.
- Establish and lead on regular meetings and develop an effective working relationship with Nacro’s contracted energy management company to hold it accountable and to maximise benefits to Nacro in relation to gas and electricity supplies.
- Provide progress reports for the Head of Housing on utilities management issues as required.
- Ensuring an accurate list of properties is maintained and updated, reconciling existing property databases, ensure changes are appropriately communicated.
- Liaison with energy companies to manage and administer, meter changes/replacements

- Directing and liaison with energy companies on queries and issues relating to energy accounts and meters.
