The Admissions Officer will join the Postgraduate Studies department in our Education and Training division. We are seeking someone experienced in university/further education admissions processes who is a team player, efficient, organised and flexible. They will be motivated to learn quickly on the job and proactively lead on admissions processes, joining at a crucial point in the annual student recruitment cycle for a busy department. The role is fixed-term for this purpose. It will involve regular interaction with a diverse range of people, both internal and external to the department, including prospective students, Programme Directors and Project Managers. A professional attitude and good interpersonal skills are essential to liaise effectively with a variety of staff and students. Additionally, a willingness to help and positive outlook shown through previous customer service and administrative experience is essential to work successfully in this student-facing role.

About the role

In this role you will;

• Lead our small but ambitious internal communications team, working closely with the Executive and Leadership teams, the wider People, Culture and Inclusion directorate and colleagues across the organisation to help develop and deliver engaging internal communications to our client-facing services and central support services teams across the organisation.
• Provide strategic leadership of internal communications in order to achieve current, and develop future internal comms goals, in line with our organisational strategy and other key organisational plans (for example, our Race Action Plan).

The Food Chain exists to ensure people living with HIV in London can access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives. We deliver meals, groceries and formula milk, run cookery and nutrition classes, and hold twice-weekly communal meals for some of the most vulnerable and isolated people living with HIV in London.

Strategic Management

The role

The Baobab Centre is a non-residential therapeutic community that supports young asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced human rights abuses and have sought asylum in the UK as unaccompanied minors. Our two focus areas are rehabilitation and justice.

This is a unique oppertunity for a passionate and experienced fundraiser to progress further in their career, with the freedom to creatively enhance and develop the fundraising strategy of an impactful community-based charity.

As Senior Fundraising Lead you will be Baobab’s key fundraiser and a self-starter with experience of working in a small or medium sized charity. You will lead on the development of fundraising at Baobab, exploring new avenues for funding, as well as nurturing and growing existing fundraising relationships. You will be responsible for strategising and carrying out a successful program of fundraising from small, medium and large charitable trusts and foundations to an agreed annual fundraising target. You will also assist in delivering Baobab’s individual major donor programme, helping to set up and deliver communications and events related to this income stream. There is scope to explore further fundraising activites including events, corporate and community fundraising. You will play a central role and work closely with our operations team, as well as recieving expert monthly mentoring from a senoir fundraising consultant. 

This role is for 4 or 5 days per week depending on your preference, it will include Fridays which is when staff meetings are held.

We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic individual to support the management of our special purpose funds (SPFs). These funds contain charitable donations for services across Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, and can be used to support projects that benefit patients and staff, over and above what the NHS could normally provide.

Our activity in this area is increasing, and we’re looking for someone to help us maintain the highest levels of administration and stakeholder engagement. In this role you will be responsible for managing the administration of our special purpose fund operations and processes. This will include the management of special purpose fund claims, a dedicated email inbox, invoice processing, engagement with NHS staff who oversee these funds (known as fund advisers) and other ad hoc administrative tasks.

Working closely with the Fund Engagement Officer, you will be expected to manage multiple tasks and deliver to strict deadlines. You will also contribute towards the team’s wider objectives and cross departmental working. You will also be able to benefit from training and development opportunities to assist with your core responsibilities.

Digital Product Officer

Location: This post is hybrid, with an office base in Leeds, requiring an average of at least eight days a month face-to-face working, with occasional travel to other locations in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

This incredible network helps us to get children reading across the country.

We are looking for someone to support our Digital team to plan, maintain, track, report on, optimise and evaluate the performance of our website, which in turn supports service provision through our network of delivery partners. Ensuring our pages can be found easily by users, this role will analyse and report on performance data, including insights into user behaviour, and work with the team to make suggestions for improvements, ensuring all activity is insight-driven and audience focused. This covers end-to-end digital journeys from external sources, through the site and related platforms, and conversions and goal completions.

All of this involves excellent technical and people skills, working with a range of people at all levels, including colleagues, suppliers, partners who deliver our services, and supporters. We are looking for someone who is also very adaptable and comfortable to work in a changing environment as we develop our new digital approach, starting with a major project to transform our website.

Youth Engagement Coordinator

Contract: Fixed Term Contract (until 30 April 2025) with the possibility to extend.

Hours: Three days a week (0.6 FTE) – there is flexibility on allocation of these hours across the week.

Please note as this role works with young people there will be occasions where your working hours will be outside the standard 9-5:30pm. This will typically be a few meetings per month that can last until 7pm and about three weekend days over the course of this contract. This is to ensure our activities fit around the young people’s education and work commitments.

Salary: £28,000 per annum (at 0.6 FTE this would be approximately £16,800 before tax).

Holidays: 27 days per year, plus eight bank holidays (pro-rata)

Location: Hybrid. Expected to be in our London office in Victoria at least one day per week.

You would be joining the organisation at a very exciting time as our youth engagement work is growing and building momentum across the sector. We are also delighted to be continuing our partnership with Mission 44, a charitable foundation founded by Sir Lewis Hamilton to transform the lives of young people facing disadvantage and discrimination, to continue to scale our impact and influence and improve youth engagement across the education sector.

This role will play a critical part in the success of this work. As the Coordinator you will work with our Head of Youth Engagement to ensure our Youth Steering Group can lead their own campaign activities, engage directly with decision makers, and collaborate with other young people to bring about the change they want to see. You will also support and manage the logistics of our Youth Summit, Youth Engagement Working Group and our Youth Participation in Policy Working Group.

What we are asking of you
Support our Youth Steering Group: Our Youth Steering Group is made up of 25 brilliant young people, aged 14-24, who want to make education fairer.

• Work with the Head of Youth Engagement to prepare for and support the group’s monthly Zoom calls, in-person training days and personal development plans.
• Support the young people to work together to write their monthly Youth Bulletin.
• Support the young people to engage with our Board of Trustees. This includes setting up briefing calls and helping the young people prepare their presentation.
• Work with our Membership Engagement Manager to support the young people to participate in FEA Collective Action Working Groups and policy influencing opportunities on themes they are interested in.
• Work with our Head of Communications to support young people to create content to promote the work the group are doing, influence change and get other young people involved.
• Support the evaluation and recruitment processes at the end of the programmatic year.

Support planning and execution of the Youth Summit: In October we will be hosting our second Fair Education Youth Summit in partnership with Mission 44. This will bring together young people from across our membership and the wider education and youth sectors

• Support the Events Manager with the event logistics.
• Support with guestlist management and participant communications for the event.  
• Support the Head of Youth Engagement and Impact and Evaluation Manager to collect and analyse the attendance, feedback, and outcome data from the event.

Support facilitation of the Youth Engagement Working Group: Our Youth Engagement Working Group supports FEA members and other sector organsiations to increase and improve their own youth engagement practice. You will:

• Support the management of logistics, promote the workshops, and communicate with working group members.
• Support the background technical facilitation of the online workshops via Zoom.  
• Ensure the attendee data and feedback is correctly logged and actioned.
