As Head of Development, you will be a key member of a small team. Reporting to the incoming Chief Executive, you will develop and implement the preexisting fundraising strategy and guide the organisation’s communications and PR strategy. You will inherit a strategically developed portfolio of relationships and income streams, with particular strengths in trusts and foundations, and a strong network of individual donors and scope to build corporates. There is also a small but growing legacy circle, created in response to a recent bequest of £1M+. You will line manage a small team of two: the Development & Communications Coordinator, and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator. With ambitions to expand upon NYJO’s existing work, your ability to set and achieve more ambitious targets will be essential.
Please note that this role will require occasional travel that will vary across the year, depending on the events calendar. Travel is likely to be required twice per month - please discuss with Joe Blythe at QuarterFive.
As Head of Development, you will:
- Develop and implement the existing fundraising strategy and develop marketing and communications efforts, ensuring cohesive and impactful messaging to effectively engage donors and stakeholders
- Deliver a high standard of supporter care and relationship management tailored to the level of giving, including nurturing their successful new Legacy Club
- Manage and attend an annual series of fundraising events, from relaxed open days to formal receptions
- Oversee NYJO marketing and communications
- Line manage the Development & Communications Coordinator and the Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Ideal skills and experience:
- Experience of securing 5- and 6-figure grants from a range of trust, statutory and/or individual sources
- Tailoring applications to appeal to a diverse range of funders/donors, which may include drawing together distinct areas of activity to create bespoke packages
- An outgoing, approachable, confident and professional manner in dealing with donors, prospects and other stakeholders
- Interest in UK Jazz and enthusiasm for working with young artists and musicians and broadening access to participatory arts for all young people

The Head of Proposition Development will lead a newly created team that will provide compelling opportunities for donors to support initiatives across the National Trust and will deliver a step change in the approach to propositions. The role will define creative new approaches and streamline processes to increase the speed with which insight-informed propositions can be developed and test with high-value donors. Using donor insight at every stage of the process, the postholder will unlock the fundraising potential of high-value donors and pilot new ways of working in advance of larger scale change to fundraising teams.

Join the National Portrait's Gallery’s Development team as Fundraising Manager, Grants. You'll work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager to support the delivery of an ambitious and exciting fundraising programme and raise income through grant-giving bodies, including Trusts and Foundations, statutory funders, and corporate foundations.
The postholder will seek to secure critical support for budget-relieving activity taking place across the Gallery, including learning and engagement and exhibitions, as well as support for acquisitions, special projects, and capital works. They will make a significant contribution to ensuring exemplary relationships with grant-makers and their representatives, and actively cultivate prospects to increase support for the Gallery.
The Fundraising Manager, Grants will work with the Senior Fundraising Manager, Grants and Legacy Giving to develop and implement a strategy for grants fundraising and support ongoing stewardship of funder relationships.
The postholder will also support the Gallery’s ambition to grow legacy giving as part of the wider team objectives.

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting Leeds Castle in their search for a Fundraising Manager (maternity cover) to join the team for a 12-14 months. Leeds Castle is situated in a beautiful and historic spot in Kent, with great connections to surrounding cities.
The fundraising team at Leeds Castle was established relatively recently, in January 2023, and is responsible for securing funds from trusts, foundations, public bodies and individuals. There is a vast ongoing cost to care for a 900-year-old Castle and Estate and they need to generate income above and beyond the successful visitor & hospitality businesses. The postholder will play a crucial role in delivering a funding strategy to support their new multi-million-pound project ‘safeguarding the Castle for the next 900 years’.
The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge and experience in trust and foundations fundraising, with a clear record of funding achievement. Working with the Head of Audience Development & Fundraising, you will drive forward their fundraising strategy, strengthen the trusts and foundations pipeline and apply for match funding opportunities. The successful candidate will be resilient and highly motivated, an excellent writer with a strong attention to detail. They will be a good researcher and relationship builder, keen to secure great financial results to support Leeds Castle’s ambitions.
The new fundraising department will focus on creating a fundraising strategy, setting up systems and processes, researching approaches and building their pipeline of funders almost from scratch. They have already had great success in securing funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, so need to expand and build their funding pipeline and look to engage new funders.
This is a hybrid role, that will require some attendance from their office in Leeds Castle in Kent. The salary will be £42k - £45k, depending on experience and flexible working conditions can be considered.

Salary: £28,000 pro rata
Working Hours
- 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

B&HM is seeking a new Individual Giving Manager to join their talented and passionate small team. The Individual Giving Manager will develop, write, and deliver a robust individual giving strategy and activity program. With a focus on building strong, lasting donor relationships, the Individual Giving Manager will play a key role in driving increased support and engagement across all giving levels. This role offers the exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact, whilst building meaningful connections and inspiring generosity with passionate B&HM supporters.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to communicate with people on all levels both inside and outside the charity
- Understanding of direct marketing techniques used by charities to support campaigns and recruitment of supporters
- Proven experience of working in either a fundraising environment (ideally individual giving) and/or within sales
- Excellent administration and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and agreed funding targets

Set within the beautifully restored Grade 1 Georgian Sherborne House, The Sherborne offers a multifunction art gallery and studio space, a state-of-the-art Pavilion for events, performances and film, a restaurant, bar, shop, workspace and a sculpture garden in a natural amphitheatre. About the role
We seek a dynamic Chief Executive to lead its strategic and operational vision. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising, implementing and leading a comprehensive five-year strategic (2024-2029) business plan, ensuring the commercial activities and fundraising efforts underpin the artistic and cultural programme within defined financial parameters.

The Sherborne seeks a Chief Executive with extensive strategic leadership experience in arts or not for profit organisations, possessing deep knowledge in planning, business development, financial management and team building. The ideal candidate will have a passion for art, proven success in fundraising and financial growth, exceptional communication skills and the ability to serve as a key ambassador while leveraging social media and digital technology to promote The Sherborne's vision.
