About you 

Having previously worked in a customer or supporter facing role, you’ll know how to provide a brilliant experience and be an excellent communicator. About the role

The role sits within a Critical Time Intervention (CTI) team working across Liverpool City Region.

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract, family leave cover

CTI is part of a housing-led response to ending homelessness. CTI is an evidence-based model, designed for times of transition for people who require support to navigate often fragmented systems. It uses a time limited case management approach to support people through a period of transition which works towards preventing and ending homelessness.

The model is strictly time limited and prescriptive in its application and Crisis’ CTI pilot will run close to the CTI principles. The timing of movement through the phases is defined by the Programme model.

CTI consists of four main phases:

1. Pre CTI: in which the relationship with the client is developed and their goals and ambitions are identified, (no timescale – could be days, months or years)
2. Transition:  providing support & beginning to connect client to people and agencies that will assume the primary role of support and enable them to meet their goals (3 months)
3. Try out: monitoring and strengthening support network and client’s skills (3 months)
4. Transfer of care: terminating CTI and stepping right back (3 months)

The post holder will be working within the framework of CTI, supporting prison leavers from prison into accommodation, thus preventing homelessness on release from custody.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have experience of delivering person centred support with statutory and non-statutory services within the criminal justice system, offering coaching and mentoring, learning support and/or personal development training, ideally working to matrix standards.  You will also have an appreciation of delivering this within a time limited framework.

You will demonstrate knowledge of issues affecting homeless or vulnerably housed individuals which could include mental illness, addiction, the benefit system and housing. Being committed to empowering homeless and vulnerably housed individuals is essential to this role.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you have a valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Reporting into the Head of Fundraising, as the newly appointed Community & Events fundraiser, you will be responsible for making a significant contribution to the charity’s voluntary income, through fundraising at community events and initiatives, and taking the lead on medium and large scale events. As an experienced fundraiser, you will build new, and retain current community relationships with individuals, groups and businesses, to gain support, loyalty and sponsorship. • Give talks and presentations about the charity’s work and its fundraising activities. In addition manage and supporting NOAH Ambassadors, FR Groups and FR Volunteers to do the same.

As the new Community & Events fundraiser, your experience and skillsets and attributes will include :

• Previous fundraising experience gained in a not for profit organisation, across any income stream.

• Events management experience preferred but not essential.

• The ability to work autonomously and without direction, using own initiative.

• Previous experience of building relationships.

About the role

The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD), hosted at the UN Foundation, is a dynamic international partnership of over 700 organisations. GPSDD connects stakeholders to address data gaps and harness opportunities for sustainable development.

In 2018, GPSDD , Sightsavers and partners, launched the Inclusive Data Charter (IDC)to promote inclusive, disaggregated data for better understanding and addressing the needs of marginalised people. The IDC has grown significantly, with commitments from over 30 Champions.

Sightsavers, a co-founding champion of the IDC, prioritises inclusive data to support its health and inclusion strategies. The Programme Manager - Inclusive Data will work across GPSDD and Sightsavers, managing strategic programmes and partnerships to advance inclusive data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IDC strategic planning and delivery, ensuring team collaboration with the IDC Technical Advisor and Advocacy Lead.
• Manage relationships with IDC champions, facilitating their engagement through regular calls and meetings.
• Foster partnerships between IDC champions, GPSDD partners, and other organisations to share experiences and strengthen inclusive data systems.
• Lead the IDC impact and learning pillar, capturing and sharing progress through data stories and knowledge products.
• Oversee budget development, monitoring, and reporting for IDC and Sightsavers, making resource allocation decisions.
• Collaborate with the IDC Advocacy Lead to identify advocacy opportunities and plan major IDC events.
• Support the Technical Advisor in providing resources and tools for Champions to develop and implement inclusive data action plans.
• Facilitate engagement of IDC co-facilitating partners, including GPSDD, Sightsavers, the UK’s Office for National Statistics and Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
• Lead Sightsavers’ inclusive data portfolio globally, engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Line manage the Inclusive Data Project Manager and Inclusive Data Operations & Planning Coordinator, overseeing workplans and progress.
• Stay informed on trends in data disaggregation and inclusive data, including the SDGs and the goal to leave no one behind.

Skills and Experience

The Programme Manager will provide programme leadership for the Inclusive Data Charter initiative, ensuring the development and delivery of agreed plans. You will coordinate the engagement of co-facilitating partners and ensure effective participation by Champions in Charter management. Additionally, you will advance reporting and learning mechanisms to track progress against Champion Action Plans.

The Programme Manager will oversee Sightsavers’ inclusive data programme at a global level, offering strategic leadership across the portfolio. Strengthening relationships with internal stakeholders and external strategic partners will be key to advancing organisational objectives and enhancing Sightsavers’ leadership in inclusive data.

Jobholder Requirements

Knowledge (education and related experience)

• Demonstrable experience in strategy, project management, advocacy and/or communications in international development or foreign policy
• Team leadership and staff management experience, preferably in a decentralised environment
• Proven ability to coordinate stakeholders across sectors and geography

The role of Volunteer Coordinator is a new one for FTWW. Our successful candidate will ensure members are supported and equipped to participate in engagement activities which broaden the reach of the organisation and increase awareness of the wider community’s health and wellbeing needs. Haringey Circle is a member-based charity which aims to focus on the issues that affect those in our borough who are over 50 or have a disability. We bring members together to celebrate their talents, create opportunities and provide a significant voice as older people grow as a proportion of the population. As we develop, we will provide occasions where people can connect with others who share common interests and face common challenges, as well as a desire to live a positive, long, healthy, and independent life.  Above all we want to create a sense of belonging to our community in the richly varied and diverse part of London what is our home.

We are looking for a creative individual to work with the board to support the development of the organisation. You will be energetic, inspiring and well organised with a track record of developing, organising and running social activities and events. Experience of working with older and/or disabled people would be an advantage. You will be committed to working in partnership with our Circle members to build up a program of activities and events that reflects their interests and aspirations. Working requirements, salary & benefits

• Salary between £22,000 and £24,000 dependant on location and experience, plus pension scheme
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9.30am - 5.30pm. 28 days annual leave (including Christmas gift days)
• One year fixed term contract; we aim to support all Graduate coaches to progress to other roles with us after this initial year, with development towards management level within 3 years. 
• Occasional evening working required (for events such as termly Spear Celebration evenings)
• For most centres there is a requirement to become part of the partner church congregation, and you will be expected to participate in church team events as well as wider Resurgo team events, including weekly staff prayer meetings and annual staff conferences in summer and winter (one residential)
• A DBS check will be requested in the event of a job offer

About Katherine Low Settlement

Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.

We run a range of our own community services to support older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We incubate and support other charities and social businesses to thrive. Each week we work with 30+ charities and community groups supporting more than 1,000 people.

Katherine Low Settlement’s work with older people

Katherine Low Settlement has worked with older people since its conception in 1924.They are a core part of the community that we continue to work with. We provide, often in partnership, a range of projects and activities for older people including health and wellbeing; creative arts; intergenerational work; connecting people and trips/outings. Our services include an Older People's Lunch Club, Contact Club, T’ai Chi for Elders, exercise and social sessions, and support online.

We work with older people to:

• Encourage active and independent living

• Reduce isolation and loneliness

• Improve well-being and prevent ill-health

• Enable older residents to be dynamic and contributing members of the Wandsworth community.

Role Purpose
We are seeking to recruit a manager to lead a frontline team. This role will suit an experienced people manager who is friendly, kind and able to manage a busy workload. Someone who can motivate staff and volunteers, engage with elders and be solution focused.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day to day running of the Elders Core Service as part of the wider Elders Programme. This includes the three day a week lunch club, transport offer and social sessions and one-off activities and trips.
• Lead a team of dedicated part-time paid staff and volunteers. The team members include a cook, support worker, minibus driver and sessional workers such as exercise tutors.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to provide this “hands on” programme which builds on older people’s strengths and potential.
• Manage the monitoring and evaluation of the project.
• Ensure the programme runs to budget.
• Support the planning of the core programme with Elders members themselves and with the wider team.
• Recruit, assess and support new and existing members (service users)
• Manage waiting lists for the programme
 

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Planning and oversight

• Working with the Head of Programme, ensure that all service output meets KLS’ vision, mission, values and charitable objects and with the Head of Programme, ensure the service meets the programme strategy and KLS’s 5-year strategy.
• Ensure the smooth delivery of core older people's activities throughout the week and organise, plan and promote agreed one-off activities throughout the year in a timely and planned manner.
• Manage the transport offer, including route planning and pick-up schedules of older people to and from KLS’ activities with the Minibus Driver. Ensuring the Minibus Driver maintains records.
• Ensure activity records and registers are kept accurately and up to date as well as case work notes for the core team, completing regular checks on this. We use a Salesforce Database for which training will be given.
• Actively support the social and support needs of our older people as appropriate, including safeguarding issues and being a first contact for compliments and complaints for the service.
• To be part of, and work closely with, the wider elder's team, sharing information regarding elders on a regular basis where appropriate.
• Conduct outreach and support work with older people in the community and on home visits and oversee the case work of the Core Team as well as having a small caseload. This does not involve advice work but is mainly signposting, referral and light advocacy.

Staff and volunteer management

• Take responsibility for the Core Programme. This includes line management of the Outreach and Support Workers, Lunch Club Cook and key relevant social activities workers and volunteers related to the core programme (we do also have a KLS Volunteer Manager who recruits volunteers).
• Ensure performance management and quality systems are used to monitor and evaluate the project’s work, processes and safeguarding.
• Managing individual volunteers as part of the Core Programme Team.

Relationships, comms and networks

• Continue to build and sustain strong relationships with our members.
• Contribute to comms for the service with the Head of Service. Oversee the comms for the Core Programme including the shared service newsletter, activities calendar, annual report and social media platforms.
• Attend meetings as requested on behalf of the Core Programme.
 

Finance

• Manage the project areas to budget, maintain basic financial records as agreed with the Head of Programme – in this instance this is usually a petty cash sheet.

Safeguarding

• Responsible for ensuring adherence to policies and procedures across the core team, ensuring that safeguarding is at the forefront of KLS’ delivery.

Undertake other duties

• Participate in regular management supervision and annual appraisal; help to identify your own job-related development and training needs
• Undertake your role in a professional manner and maintain a high-quality standard of work in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of KLS

Skills and Experience

• Experience of working with older people in a community setting
• Experience of line managing a small team in a community setting
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and when working individually or in groups
• Strong multi-tasking skills and time management 
• Ability to work as part of a small team, whilst also working independently
• Experience of monitoring and evaluating projects effectively and ensuring that they are consistently meeting needs
• Understanding and experience of safeguarding, and health & safety in theory and in practice
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office suite and ability to use Internet, email and social media. Database experience would be an advantage (Salesforce) 
• Experience of working with or being a volunteer
• Knowledge of Battersea and Wandsworth
