Following our successful pitch to be the Charity Partner for the TCS London Marathon 2025, we are seeking a Senior Event Volunteer Officer to join our fantastic London Marathon project team on a 12-month contract.

This role is key to the success of the TCS London Marathon partnership and will deliver an exciting new event day volunteer programme to successfully recruit 1,000 volunteers across a range of event day roles by creating and implementing a successful volunteer recruitment and stewardship project plan. 

You will be able to truly make a difference by enabling our volunteers to have a fantastic and rewarding experience with Pancreatic Cancer UK, and ensuring our London Marathon runners and their family and friends have an unforgettable experience. 

The role offers flexible working, with one day a week required in the London office. Condensed hours are also offered and the role can be worked across either 10 days in 9 or 5 days in 4.

About You  

• Worked in a previous volunteer engagement or event fundraising role. 

• Have an excellent track record of recruiting and stewarding volunteers for a similar size event or larger. 

• Able to communicate appropriately and effectively with volunteers who are new to the organisation as well as long-term supporters, so that they have a fantastic experience of volunteering for Pancreatic Cancer UK by responding to queries in a timely and supportive manner across a range of channels including email, phone and SMS.

Main purpose and scope of the role:

Parentkind is a national charity representing 13,000 Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) and has a long term ambition to be the voice of parents in policy making. 

We are looking for someone to support our work in Westminster and Whitehall, improving our relationships across Parliament and inside government as we seek to be the credible voice of parents in UK policy making. 

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of advocacy and policy research in Westminster, either within Parliament or government. If you have a passion for politics, a background in policy research and an interest in education policy and politics this is the role for you.

The role will involve:

• Conducting research on parents, including polling of parents and their views. We have an ambition to make high quality policy recommendations based on this research. 
• Alongside the research requirements of the role, you will be expected to support our political and broader stakeholder engagement activity to make sure the work we do is seen by the right people. 
• Organise and plan political events to communicate our research, including roundtables, lunches and dinners and launch events in Westminster. 
• Lead on responding to public consultations on behalf of Parentkind to ensure the voice of parents is heard in the public consultations.

You will represent Parentkind at important events and meetings and have the chance to promote our research and policy recommendations. We would particularly welcome candidates who can demonstrate some media experience, including writing press releases and placing stories with national media outlets.

Duties and key responsibilities

Policy research and analysis

• To conduct research under the guidance of the Director of Policy and Research.
• To produce summarise large amounts of information and produce briefing material on education policy for external audiences, often at pace.
• To support the development of parent opinion polling related to our policy work.
• Respond to relevant consultations on behalf of Parentkind. 

Policy development

• To provide rapid briefing material for any relevant future business relating to Parliament and the UK government.
• To provide political monitoring and identify opportunities for political engagement.
• To support the development of policy recommendations and experience of publishing policy related research.

Political engagement

To plan and organise political events, such as roundtable discussions, lunches and dinners and launch events in Westminster.

To identify political stakeholders relevant to our work in Parliament and the UK government, including:

• officials inside government departments,
• elected representatives,
•  think tanks and other relevant research institutions.

To maintain a wide range of political contacts and meet with political stakeholders to promote our research and policy work.

To meet with organisations with an interest in our work and provide effective briefings.

To attend party conferences and other education led events to represent Parentkind. 

Media engagement

To support the Director of Policy and Research in media engagement, including background research for press releases. 

To summarise our policy and research ready for social media platforms.

 

Salary:  £29,120 per annum (pro-rata) + generous benefits and £2,500 on call allowance per annum

About the role:

As a Team Leader you will lead a team of Independent Victim Advisors ( caseworkers) providing support to victims across the county. You will hold a small caseload but your main focus will be on the performance management of direct line reports including the allocation/ auditing of cases and the collation of service performance reports, measuring KPIs and quality compliance. You will need a good understanding of the criminal justice sector and able to work collaboratively with partners to achieve the best outcomes for victims. Freshwater Habitats Trust is a friendly, well respected conservation charity that works to protect freshwater wildlife through practical, evidence-based and effective nature conservation projects. We are now recruiting for this post: Engagement Officer in the New Forest National Park.

The role:

We believe Street Child has a huge opportunity to achieve even more growth in the Corporate Partnerships sector by diversifying our coverage and relationships into new industries and growth markets. The New Business Manager role will play a key role in leading our New Business activity outside of our existing portfolio. Reporting to our recently appointed Senior Manager for Partnership and New Business, your role will involve:

1. Core New Business activity: Researching and development of prospect lists for priority industries to implement New Business campaigns capable of securing multi-year high value partnerships. Responsibility for building Street Child’s network of corporate relationships and growing pipeline of corporate partnership opportunities.

2. Partnership and proposition development: Working closely with our colleagues in the Corporate Partnerships and Global Programme Funding teams to develop engaging and impactful partnership plans and project propositions, focusing on priority countries and programmes to support Street Child’s strategy and mission.

3. Corporate engagement with events: Utilising the portfolio of events Street Child has across the year to engage and steward corporate relationships, including Street Child owned events and external events including the World Economic Forum and UN General Assembly.

4. Supporting on cross-organisational fundraising activations: Leading on new corporate engagement activities, including new fundraising and sponsorship activations, to support cross-organisational initiatives including our Spring Gala, annual Back to School Campaign and other key milestones throughout the year.

Key activities in this role:

• Development of New Business engagement plans – identifying, researching, engaging and cultivating new corporate prospects and relationships;
• Implementing ambitious New Business campaigns to target priority industries, including the oversight of prospecting and marketing mapping activity;

ROLE SUMMARY

ProVeg International is a growing network of currently eleven independent legal entities represented in twelve countries across four continents (Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Malaysia, Netherlands, Nigeria, Poland, South Africa, Spain, UK, and US). 

We are seeking an experienced and committed International Senior Legal Coordinator to oversee international legal aspects of ProVeg and coordinate our governance & legal structure, trademark portfolio, the international legal affairs and data protection topics. They will be a strategic thinker who can make the best decisions in line with our organisation’s vision, mission, and values. The goal is to guide ProVeg International as a whole towards compliance and efficiency, stability, growth and long-term success.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Governance & Legal Structure Coordination

• Support our internationalisation efforts and the set-up / registration of new country entities 

• Conclude & maintain necessary agreements (collaboration agreements, service agreements, contracts, and data protection agreements) between ProVeg International Inc. (US) and new and existing ProVeg legal entities, and liaise with external lawyers for advice

Trademark Coordination

• Manage, oversee and expand the trademark portfolio of ProVeg International Inc. 

• Coordinate infringements actions with a trademark law firm 

• Support the development of a trademark strategy

• Liaise/ manage contact with a trademark law firm 

International Legal Affairs Coordination

• Check and arrange international and national contracts and agreements for ProVeg C.I.C (UK) and ProVeg International Inc. (US) and liaise with external lawyers for advice

• Ensure organisational compliance and assess legal risks. Advise the Senior Leadership Team on mitigation

• Support ProVeg countries (provide templates for contracts etc. or general advice where possible)

Data Protection Coordination

• Act as internal data protection expert (GDPR etc.) and work with colleagues (e.g. Communications, Fundraising, Operations) on compliance and data protection implementation

• Manage, update, maintain and ensure compliance with GDPR and other international Data Protection Regulations 

• Ensure and monitor compliance with Data Protection Regulation for ProVeg’s International Departments and support countries with compliance with national Data Protection laws 

• Raise awareness of data protection compliance among staff and support data protection training

• Liaise with internal Data Protection Coordinator (Germany) and external Data Protection Officer

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in law or a related field required; graduate degree preferred

• Broad legal knowledge, particularly regarding data protection, contracts, governance, business law, and related regulations. Knowledge around employment law, Trademark, and other areas strongly preferred.

• Proven experience with a minimum of two to three years of working in a legal support role, ideally in the non-profit sector

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

• Collaborative attitude, solution-focused, and supportive of international colleagues (particularly Country Directors, Heads and International Senior Leadership and Operations team)

• IT skills, including Google Docs, with advanced proficiency in Google Sheets

• Self-starter personality with the ability to work independently and with limited supervision

An exciting position has arisen for a Director of Finance and Operations to join the Senior Leadership Team at an international Charity. The successful postholder will play an instrumental role in shaping and driving the financial and operational strategies. The role will strive to ensure financial sustainability, and the embedding of a business partnering approach to achieve the Charity’s mission

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to shape the long-term organisational strategies, spearheading plans encompassing Finance, Operations, Security, IT and risk management
• Foster organisational coherence in Finance and Operations, developing systems and policies aligned with the Charity’s values and strategies
• Offer guidance and support on governance matters, keeping abreast of regulatory developments and changes in governance frameworks
• Lead the Charity’s Finance division, ensuring financial systems and analyses are integrated and understood across the Charity
• Adhere to established accountancy standards in developing and strengthening financial management policies and procedures
• Oversee the timely production of financial information and engage with teams to accurately report on financial performance
• Manage the relationship with auditors and ensure timely and accurate filing of accounts
• Lead on budget forecasting and the setting and reviewing of annual budgets, including those for funding proposals
• Oversee organisational security systems and processes and global governance in collaboration with the relevant teams
• Identify and implement improvements in resource management systems for enhanced efficiency
• Line manage up to 7 direct reports

 

Ideal candidate profile:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Experience in a financial management and senior leadership position within an international organisation, preferably within the Not-For-Profit sector
• Strong expertise in Charity Fund accounting and managing diverse income streams
• Comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in overseeing and managing finances on an international scale
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a commitment to fostering effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across various contexts
• Proven ability to lead, manage and motivate staff at all levels
• Willingness to travel internationally as required

We are currently looking for an experienced Substance Misuse worker to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to lead on the service operational response to vaping of illegal drugs in Plymouth.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Knowledge of substance misuse (drugs and alcohol) and awareness of national and local initiatives

-Knowledge of relevant policy and government drug strategy documents

-Knowledge of the criminal justice process, specifically in relation to young people

-Knowledge of child/adolescent development and young person-centred interventions
