The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced grants fundraiser to join CSW to use their skills to help people who are harassed and persecuted for their beliefs. You will play a key role in generating sustainable income for our work through securing grants from charitable trusts, foundations and institutions.

- Research and identify new sources of funding to grow pipeline of prospective trusts, foundations and institutions
- Write high-quality, compelling applications and bespoke funding proposals to secure grants
- Manage relationships with existing funders in a way that secures multi-year grants

The Person
You are an excellent researcher, self-motivated and able to write compelling applications that align with funders’ priorities. You have strong research and time management skills. - A minimum of three years fundraising experience for a charity.

About the role
Sightsavers’ Trusts and Corporate Partnerships team is excited to be expanding its team in response to growing demands and opportunities in the trusts & foundation sector. We are recruiting for two additional Trusts & Foundations Advisors to be key contributors to the development of Sightsavers trusts and foundations programme. They will play a crucial role in the successful recruitment and cultivation of new business, while also managing a portfolio of existing trust and foundation donors primarily based in the UK, U.S and Europe.

Responsibilities

· Cultivating and recruiting new and existing supporters, donors and fundraisers to actively engage in the fundraising and events activities
· Establish, develop and manage a volunteer appeals board, made up of internal and external stakeholders

This role will have a principal focus on business growth, influence, and impact. The Trustees are looking for a high-calibre CEO who can make Notts County Foundation one of the leading club community organisations in the country, growing the business significantly over the next five years, whilst working in partnership with the Football Club, Premier League Charitable Fund, EFL in the Community, and our Local Authorities.
Reporting to, and working closely with, the Head of Fundraising and Engagement, the Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Lead will shape and implement innovative strategies, driving growth in philanthropic giving, secure corporate partnerships and obtain critical funding. With a focus on cultivating mutually beneficial, long-term relationships, you’ll craft compelling proposals, develop tailored stewardship plans, and create sponsorship opportunities that inspire ongoing support.
You’ll lead the way in securing multi-year corporate partnerships and nurturing donor relationships to meet ambitious income targets. As a key player in the senior fundraising team, you’ll contribute to strategic planning, represent the charity at events, and champion new approaches to fundraising.
With our newly formed Development Board, the Senior Philanthropy and Partnerships Lead will identify and utilise key networks to grow our philanthropic supporter base across corporate and major donor income streams. With strong writing skills, this person will also craft tailored and compelling corporate proposals and trust and foundation applications.
Who are we looking for?
To support our vision and ensure the achievement of ambitious income targets to support children and families affected by neuroblastoma, we are looking for a strategic and results-driven high-value fundraiser to join our team.
We are particularly keen to speak with interested candidates who enjoy cultivating high-value relationships from scratch and stewarding five- and six-figure corporate partnerships, and/or major donor relationships.
Person specification:
- Strategic thinker with significant experience of developing strategic plans to grow and optimise high-value fundraising.
- Expert knowledge of philanthropy fundraising methodology and current philanthropic trends.
- Experience writing successful five/six-figure high-value proposals to corporates and trusts and foundations.
- Good planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple activities with conflicting demands and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to motivate and influence others.
- Demonstrable success in stewarding supporters/donors, corporate partners, and trusts and foundations.

About the Role

As Group Finance Director, you will be a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), ensuring financial strategy, governance, and compliance align with the organisation’s mission.
The role requires strong leadership, financial expertise, and the ability to manage a dispersed finance team while navigating the complexities of both charity and commercial financial management across different jurisdictions. International travel will be required to work with in-country teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the organisation’s financial strategy and vision, contributing to strategic decision-making at the senior level.
- Oversee financial reporting and compliance, ensuring adherence to UK Charities SORP FRS 102 and international financial regulations.
- Develop and implement financial systems, controls, and processes across multiple global entities.
- Manage annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Ensure compliance with donor reporting requirements and programme budgets.
- Prepare group consolidated reports, including balance sheets, donor spend tracking, and statutory accounts.
- Lead the audit process and ensure strong financial governance across the organisation.
- Work closely with country finance teams in a matrix structure, to build capacity and ensure best practices.
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies for risk management.
- Support grant and funding management, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
About You
We are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader who can balance big-picture financial planning with the operational needs of a growing international charity. You should have excellent financial acumen, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage finances in a complex, multi-currency, multi-entity environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Qualified accountant (CCAB, CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Proven finance leadership experience in a complex international organisation, ideally in the INGO sector.
- Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency financial operations.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK Charity SORP FRS 102.
- Experience with donor reporting, grant management, and compliance.
- Demonstrated success in leading and developing dispersed international finance teams.
- Experience with financial systems implementation and process improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
Desirable:
- Experience working in one of the organisation’s key regions (Afghanistan, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, the Levant).
- Experience leading finance teams remotely.
