The Refugee and Migrant Forum of Essex and London (RAMFEL) is one of the largest immigration and asylum advice charities in the UK, supporting refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants to access justice. An IAA level 3 accredited organisation, we represent clients at all stages of the immigration and asylum process, up to and including the Upper Tribunal of the Immigration and Asylum Chamber. We also support clients to access destitution support, housing and relevant services they are entitled to.
We also actively campaign for a fairer and more humane immigration system. RAMFEL caseworkers therefore have the opportunity to work on systemic and strategic challenges and support broader advocacy work.

Purpose of the role
The Refugee and Migrant Forum of Essex and London is an IAA level 3 registered charity, that provides advice to help people access justice. Having received additional funding, the role gives an opportunity to assist some of the most vulnerable people in our society. There will be particular focus on working with people who are facing a crisis, providing advice work and support that will take them out of destitution and on a path towards independence.
The RAS caseworker will be assisting Asylum Seekers and Refugees with accessing services and support they are entitled to, such as housing, benefits, asylum support, medical and education services etc.
Hours of work: The role is primarily a full-time position, requiring 37.5 hours per week. However, for the right candidate, we may consider accommodating part-time working hours. Given the nature of RAMFEL’s work, there may be instances where the Supervisor will need to exceed the standard hours. In such cases, compensatory time off can be arranged with the Head of Services
Salary and Benefits:
Salary: £28,000 - 30,000 per annum, depending on experience. 28 days annual leave plus statutory holidays and 6% pension contribution.

- a confident self-starter who has had experience of working with volunteers and home visiting

The role
We are looking for an experienced advisor to join our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee as Chair of our external EDI Committee. There will be a minimum of four two-hour sessions each year. Advisors have a term of 3 years, with the option to complete a maximum of 2 terms. Main duties and responsibilities:
The main role of the Housekeeper is to take responsibility for promoting and enabling an environment and a day-to-day working schedule, which provides the Sisters with a range of support, meeting both individual and community needs.
Cleaning:
- Clean weekly the communal areas on all floors and then bedroom/bathroom areas (when needed).

Support for Sisters:
- Assist Sisters who request assistance with making and changing their beds and helping them with washing of clothes and bed linen as requested.
- Welcome visitors, providing refreshments and attend to all of those who call.
House Maintenance and Administration:
- Be the main contact person to work with the Facility Services Company to ensure regular maintenance checks are carried out on all mechanical and electrical equipment, including checks for legionella testing, emergency lighting, fire doors, smoke detectors and fire alarms.
- Perform some weekly/monthly/quarterly checks that are not done by external contractors. These will include: legionella temperature testing, emergency lights, fire doors, smoke detectors and fire alarms. Instruction will be given.

Job Purpose
The post holder will provide administrative support across several key functions of the department, focusing mainly on clinical job description approval and sourcing of volunteers to attend appointment panels across the UK (Advisory Appointments Committee), quality improvement initiatives, and committee administration.
Main responsibilities
AACs and Job Planning
- Responsibility for administration of the College’s Advisory Appointments Committee and ophthalmologist job planning advice service and Coordinating volunteers to attend Advisory Appointment Committees (AACs)
- Administering the approval process for UK ophthalmologist job descriptions (c. 200 a year), assigning work to relevant Council Representatives and supervision of the progress of approvals to meet the average 3 week turn around

What the job involves
The Policy and Health Influencing teams are responsible for using clinical data and evidence to shape what the organisation thinks and to develop solutions that drive change for men with and at risk of prostate cancer. This means working with clinicians, patients and stakeholders to interpret the latest changes in prostate cancer research, care, support and treatment which will help shape our strategic direction and activities.
As the Health Improvement Coordinator, you're key to supporting these teams. You'll have a varied and far-reaching portfolio of work and sometimes arranging important stakeholder events and meetings ensuring we're hearing from people who've been through prostate cancer themselves. You'll also help share our work on social media and capturing the outcomes of our external engagement.
In this role you’ll assist us in keeping track of and evaluating our progress in line with our organisational strategy, as well as keeping an eye on trends in the wider cancer and health landscape and reporting on them. Plus, you'll handle budget matters and make sure we have effective budget monitoring mechanisms in place.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Coordinator who is highly organised, an effective communicator and know how to adapt and effectively prioritise your time. You’ll have excellent coordination skills and can organise others too (especially teams which are based across the UK) and have experience of creating and updating forward planners, project schedules and streamlining team processes. You’ll be able to comfortably engage with senior managers and a breadth of external senior level stakeholders. Regularly taking the initiative to drive improvements so that the teams you support can operate efficiently.
With skills in collecting and utilising data to monitor, trend, and report on activity, you're proactive in acting on the results. You’ll have some experience or interest in working in the health or volunteer sector. You’re also quick to learn and capable at picking up new systems including those for budget management and products’ fulfilment.

Office Administration

Act as first point of contact for general operational enquiries

Manage post, deliveries and couriers for the Foundation
