The HR & Administration Assistant will support the HR team in providing an efficient and streamlined service to WHAG for all HR-related administrative tasks. This role has a wide remit which includes the efficient and effective smooth running of WHAG’s HR functions enabling WHAG services to be delivered and being an effective team member, You will act as an integral part of the HR Team offering support to the wider organisation.

About the role 

Mental health social work is a highly varied role that offers a wide range of opportunities to support the lives of people with mental health needs. 

Using a social approach, you will help them address a diverse range of factors including relationships, housing, and employment, that are often overlooked in treatment of mental illness.

Aquarius has been providing structured and targeted interventions to young people engaging in, at risk of substance misuse or affected by parental substance misuse for many years.

You will work on an outreach basis, including visiting schools & colleges, the Children and Families service, the YOT as well as other local community agencies. The role will involve:

• supporting young people away from engaging in substance misuse

• delivering 1-1 and some group work interventions

Holding a relevant qualification in substance misuse/youth work/psychology/counselling/ mental health/social care or with relevant experience and willingness to work towards a Level 3 Qualification in Health & Social Care you will also:

The Database and Gifts Officer role is integral to the Development and Alumnae Relations (DAR) department, supporting the school’s fundraising and engagement efforts. In this role, you will manage the administration of our equipment loan and support grant services, ensuring requests are handled efficiently and swiftly. You will identify requests that should be treated as exceptions and escalate as appropriate.

You'll also liaise with health and social care professionals, branches and groups, and people affected by MND, offering guidance on alternative funding options. By proactively seeking additional funding from branches and groups, you'll ensure our support grants continue to make a difference.

The role involves administrative tasks such as managing payments, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate records. You'll also be responsible for updating databases, sending important correspondence, and ensuring our care resources are well-stocked and available.

Occasionally, you'll help organise internal and external meetings and events, booking venues and handling any necessary equipment and logistics.

The role

• To provide administrative support to the CEO and Office Manager in managing, processing and troubleshooting various accounts and transactions, to ensure income and outgoings are timely and accurately recorded.

Main responsibilities:

• Accurate and timely processing of Invoices on Xero
• Obtaining authorisation of the budget holder for the expenditure 
• Preparing Income batches on Access CRM
• Creating new records on Access CRM
• Managing petty cash transactions
• Processing credit card income 
• Processing credit card expenditure
• Issue invoices to customers based on services rendered and/or goods sold 
• Review and process employee expenses  
• Making bank deposits and keep up records 
• Tracking expenses as they relate to specific projects  
• Validating invoices against items or services received 
• Checking all financial transactions for accuracy 
• Answering calls 
• Provide additional support as required
• Helping with Annual Audit
• Fielding all finance enquiries both internal and external

Requirements:

• To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have at least some previous experience in a similar role.
• You’ll have an analytical and methodical approach, maintaining the highest levels of accuracy - attention to detail is crucial
• You’ll also have good working knowledge of Office 365, Excel, Xero and Access CRM, or a similar database system.

Evolve, a leading mental health counselling charity, is seeking a part-time administrator receptionist, to be the first point of contact for clients seeking our non-emergency professional mental health counselling services.

The postholder will manage phone calls and web enquiries through to successful conclusions via our Head of Counselling and their team of over fifty counsellors, creating and maintaining client records with Charitylog – a client records management system.

They will be the key source of information and support for this team of counsellors, who all work remotely currently across greater Cambridgeshire, Northants, and Peterborough areas, making sure they have all necessary support and information for their roles.

Our administrator will also organise and manage all other corporate information for the Trustee Board, the CEO, and their leadership team plus our volunteer staff – building an effective ‘memory’ for Evolve and helping us to grow and support more people.

More than a conduit for enquiries, the successful applicant will be initiative-taking and self-directing, taking immediate action and ownership of their tasks and ensuring 100% completion. A high degree of professionalism, and a regard for boundaries and confidentially are essentials, as is resilience for a sometimes-challenging role at a time of change and growth in Evolve. What a day might look like for you

It's an exciting time to join us in the decade of our bicentenary as we focus on our Strategy to 2030. The RSPCA works 365 days a year, rescuing all animals of all types from abuse, neglect, and injury. 

Here's some of the key work you'll be doing: 

• Monitor, share and analyse policies, reports, news and announcements (including answers to Parliamentary Questions) from relevant bodies (such as the European Commission, Home Office and Department for Science, Innovation and Technology), proactively and on request, in order to help maintain the Animals in Science Department's knowledge base.
• Search for articles, research papers and general information relevant to the Department's work, to support the work of the scientific staff and maintain the Department's knowledge base regarding research animal welfare and use, ethics and the 3Rs.
• Undertake additional supporting tasks as required, such as helping to organise meetings; laying out and formatting publications; developing guidance and tools to enable further implementation of the 3Rs and robust ethical review of animal use, writing up meeting reports for publication.
• Work closely with the Digital Media team, providing and updating content for the RSPCA website relevant to the Society's work to help laboratory animals.
• Help produce content (eg. articles, infographics) for the public, members of animal ethics committees and other stakeholders, to inform these audiences of issues relating to animal research and testing and of the RSPCA's work in this area.
• Help promote the RSPCA's work for lab animals using a variety of communication channels including social media.
• To represent the RSPCA at relevant forums and give presentations at relevant meetings or workshops, internally and externally.

What makes a great Scientific and Policy Officer?
