Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus.

This role will report to the CEO of the charity and will work closely as part of the Senior Leadership team. The Director of Growth will have oversight of Fundraising, Communications, Marketing and Clinic Growth within the charity. This will involve line management of the Fundraising Manager and Executive Assistant in the team. The charity has a vision to champion accessibility UK wide and to set up twenty clinics in partnership with local churches by 2030, there’s a current pipeline in progress to achieve this. As the charity grows we want to ensure that we have strong financial strategy and growth plans which enable us to achieve our vision. As a small charity, the role will require balancing practical tasks with strategic planning and management. The role will be based in King’s Cross with occasional events outside of the office. We envisage the focus of the role to be split with a 40% focus on income generation, 20% on Clinic Growth and 20% on brand, marketing and PR, all aspects of the role will include leadership and management.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow, but will include: 

Leadership and Management:

• Working as part of the Senior Leadership team to strategically support the running of the charity.
• Providing line management for the Fundraising Manager, Executive Assistant and other potential members of the team as the charity grows. 
• Leading and participating in prayer and worship with the team in line with Growing Hope’s Christian values.
• Ownership of income raising of £710,000 for the national charity with a view to growth each year. In addition to this an income of approximately £100,000 for each local clinic and ensuring that income targets are met across the national and local charities.

Fundraising Strategy & Finance: 

• Lead the development and execution of long-term financial plans in close alignment with the charity’s strategic goals from a Fundraising perspective.
• Reporting monthly to the Growing Hope senior team and trustee board on income, forecasts and plans to hit income targets. 
• Manging the fundraising, marketing and communications budget lines.
• Oversee the process of forecasting and planning income for analysis of the leadership team and Board of Trustees.
• Support fundraising strategy development and long term planning for growth.
• Explore and implement strategies for ensuring best use of charitable funds, and maintaining financial sustainability.
• Explore and implement innovative strategies to ensure that Growing Hope are raising funds as effectively as possible at both a national and a local level.

Marketing and Communication: 

• Overseeing and developing Marketing and Communication strategy across the charity, including PR development, socials and internal and external communications. 
• Oversight of projects and campaigns running across Growing Hope.
• Promoting the Growing Hope brand both internally and externally. 
• Developing strategies to support staff with understanding and working to the Growing Hope values.
• Oversight of marketing and advertising on behalf of the charity. 
• Analysing key marketing performance metrics and using tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends to formulate actionable insights for the marketing team.

Person Specification 
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in the charity sector, an interest in additional needs and inclusion are highly desirable. 

ESSENTIAL
This role has an Occupational Requirement to be a Christian, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010. 

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons. We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP Leicester. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP Leicester, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based and is offered on a fixed term basis ending in December 2024 with the potential for extension into permanent contract. nia has been delivering services to women, girls and children who have been subjected to sexual and domestic violence and abuse, including prostitution, since 1975. The organisation has three main aims: to provide services for women, girls and children who have experienced men’s violence; contributing to ending male violence against women and girls, and to inform and influence policy and public awareness.
The Emma Project, Daria House and Jan’s Place are specialist services providing refuge and support services to women who have been subjected to domestic and/or sexual violence and abuse, including women who have been sexually exploited, including through prostitution and who also use substances problematically.

Citizens Advice Southwark has been awarded funding by City Bridge Foundation to provide a welfare benefits advice service for Southwark residents and we are now seeking to recruit a full time welfare benefits caseworker.

The caseworker will be based between our two main offices in Peckham and Walworth and will assist with raising awareness and completing benefit claims, advocating on behalf of clients and submitting reviews and appeals. The caseworker will also train a team of volunteers to increase capacity and expertise and will act in a consultancy role for generalist advisers and frontline workers in other agencies in the borough.

About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Associate to provide programmatic support to a portfolio of Internews’ projects in the Europe & Eurasia (E&E) region. The role will be part of the Internews’ headquarters E&E Project Management

Unit (PMU) and report to the London-based Senior Programme Officer. The role will support the project teams in the E&E region as they conduct their project activities and help ensure.

Effective programme implementation, particularly related to project reporting, work planning, and monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL). The role will contribute to development opportunities that support E&E media and journalists to safely provide good quality information. • Support the project teams across all programmatic and operational aspects of European-funded grant programmes to implement high-quality projects on time and budget, and to the highest technical standards, and in a way that positions projects within a broader regional or thematic portfolio and contributes to organisational impact.
• Assist PMU management with project oversight and progress towards programme deliverables.
• Support project start-up, implementation, and closeout.
• Support with hiring key project personnel.
• Serve as an HQ point of contact for programmatic inquiries for assigned projects within the organisation and externally.
• Guide the project teams on rules and requirements of European donors and Internews’ internal policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Required:

The Role: Finance Manager

Joining our Information & Support Team at an exciting time of growth in this new role, you'll provide crucial operational management for Marie Curie's Peer Support Services - our telephone companion and bereavement services. You'll line manage our Volunteer Co-ordinators and Peer Support staff ensuring the high quality provision of emotional support offered by over 150 volunteers, and be responsible for the development and expansion of these services, at a time when we know that more and more people need our support.

Whilst this is a busy role, responsible for the delivery of two growing services, the fulfilment that comes from seeing the positive impact on someone's life that we have supported, makes this role incredibly rewarding.

In this role, you will:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of Marie Curie's Peer Support Services to provide volunteer-delivered emotional support by phone to people living with a terminal illness, carers, family and friends as well as those who are bereaved from terminal illness.
• Line-manage a team of Volunteer Co-ordinators and Peer Support Officers ensure a high-quality service is provided to all service users and volunteers are recruited, trained and managed at the highest standard.
• Be responsible for service key performance indicators (KPIs), governance, leading on design and delivery of training to volunteers, and proactively managing the quality of our services.
• Alongside the Team Leader of our Support Line, act as a safeguarding lead, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed and staff and volunteers receive the support that they need to deal with difficult situations.
• Support the growth plan for the services by proactively identifying opportunities to develop the services, working in partnership with other teams, and being an ambassador for the services within Marie Curie, and externally as required.

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP Isle of Wight, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Inspired by Pan-African civil rights leader Queen Mother Moore, our founders established Black Cultural Archives in 1981 with a mission to create Britain's first archive-museum dedicated to representing the culture and history of Black people in Britain. You will grow to understand our potential donor pool and hold a vital role in planning events and coordinating other activities to encourage donations and help us move toward our vision of being the home of Black British history. You will work with a close-knit, enthusiastic team under the Managing Director to meet and exceed fundraising goals.

You will have a proven track record of generating income by writing high-value trusts and foundation proposals and the ability to build and influence relationships at all levels. You will be a creative and emotive storyteller with the ability to work independently and proactively.
