Help For Heroes are looking for a highly skilled, professional, and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our expanding clinical team. Are you a committed, flexible OT with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience looking to expand your skills and have the opportunity to work with the Armed Forces Community? If you have the ability to work independently but still enjoy having the support of a team, you could contribute your skills and experience to improve quality of life. Are you happy to embrace a flexible work pattern as the position will involve frequent travel to meet veterans in their own homes and communities and other organisational commitments including inductions, training and team meetings which may require some overnight stays?  If you have experience of delivering Occupational Therapy in both physical and mental health conditions, then your holistic approach will help improve lives. Sleep difficulties and sensory needs are a large part of the role to enable veterans to live as they want to so experience in these areas would be beneficial.

About the Role

You will have the opportunity to work in the homes and local communities and be able to support them with physical and mental health needs that are creating barriers to meaningful occupation. By carrying your own defined caseload, you will be able to identify barriers that are affecting veterans’ ability to be as independent as possible and live the life they want to live. You will be assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating Occupational Therapy interventions for those who have served our country and improving the quality of life of our Heroes. You will be joining the clinical team at Help for Heroes to provide community based Occupational Therapy input to armed forces veterans. Main duties

Form a close working relationship with the Marketing and Finance teams

Age UK Westminster is seeking a Digital Inclusion Coordinator to join our home visiting digital inclusion team funded by Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster Social Isolation project supports and enhances existing Older Adult Mental Health services provided by CNWL by providing targeted outreach digital inclusion support to vulnerable older people with the aim of reducing the impact of loneliness and isolation. We are looking for someone who has confident Digital Inclusion experience and ideally some experience of working with people living with dementia.

The role will include providing intensive coaching, support and troubleshooting with IT skills and equipment as well as working closely with Age UK Westminster’s other services including digital inclusion group sessions and dementia activities.

Job purpose

We are looking for an experienced digital communications professional to play a key role in improving our digital communications. Reporting to the head of communications, marketing and digital, the role will oversee the development of a new RCVS Knowledge website, developing our use of user data and insights and managing the development of engaging content.

As project manager for the RCVS Knowledge website development from discovery to launch, you will be working closely with your colleagues in our small and friendly communications team, as well as with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to help us realise our vision of a well-designed, user-friendly website which meets the needs of all our audiences.

You will ensure that we have a shared understanding of our requirements across the RCVS Knowledge team and with the supplier, and that these requirements are informed by audience data and insights. In addition, you will also take the lead on auditing our current site content and developing a strategy for developing relevant, high-quality content in time for launch and beyond.

You will have recent, relevant experience of leading website developments of significant size and complexity, with a passion for user-centred design and creating high-quality content.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact between RCVS Knowledge and the digital agency, and internally with the website project stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Trust Fundraising Manager with proven experience, to maximise income for Whizz Kidz services from Trusts and Foundations through researching new funding opportunities, creating high quality applications with Service staff and stewarding existing warm funders effectively. 

The Role

As Trust Fundraising Manager you will secure new funding opportunities and work on a pool of warm and cold charitable Trusts with a focus on the £10,000 to £40,000 range.  The role involves researching and qualifying prospects, submitting high quality funding applications and stewarding existing donors effectively. It will also involve managing reporting deadlines and matching potential donors to projects needing to be fundraised for, collaborating with our Service Teams. 

You will prepare applications and reports to trusts and foundations, in line with funder deadlines, keeping in touch with donors and prospects via phone, virtually and face to face. You will match potential donors with projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach.

The person

You will have experience of: Securing funding from Trusts with excellent writing and presentation skills; Solid prospect research skills to identify new funding opportunities and maintain a forward pipeline of applications; Of working collaboratively with Service Teams to package and cost project areas; Stewardship of warm funders including preparing donor reports, reviewing financial reports and gathering case studies. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.

• Provide proactive and robust financial leadership for all financial issues for your business area, including partner relationships, operational plans, business cases, financial assumptions and financial modelling;
• Actively lead the collation of short to medium term (1 and 5 year) investment plans, interpreting the key drivers and risks to enable preparation of long term (5 and 30 year) business plans, so that we can achieve our business goals;
• Make sure that we are reporting management information that is timely, accurate and appropriate, ensuring any deviation from budget / plans can be explained and justified, and that any new issues and opportunities are appropriately raised and considered;

With over £40,000 properties, this housing association has experienced impressive organic growth over recent years and this is set to continue. The role will require two to three days a week in either their Tewkesbury, Chipping Sodbury or Wolverhampton office. Essential criteria:

• Experience of reporting financial information, including explaining finance concepts to non-financial people;
• Previous or current experience working in the property or housing sector.
• Excellent leader with a track record of getting the best out of people;
• Recent practical experience of budgeting, management accounting and business planning;
• Good systems experience, both of finance systems and operational systems, and be quick to pick up new ones;
• Qualified member of a recognised accounting body
• A thorough understanding of appropriate legislation, taxation, risk, financial reporting standards and best practice;
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, be able to translate financial information into meaningful management information to aid decision making and help influence at all levels, to change thinking and behaviours;

About us:   

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young adults with life-limiting conditions. We support hundreds of families, both in our hospice and in family homes.

Our support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family; including overnight care, music therapy, counselling, sibling support groups, home visits and much, much more. 

It costs around £6.5m to keep our doors open for families across South Yorkshire and beyond. Statutory funding makes up 16% of this amount and the rest is raised through fundraising activity.

Our services include overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team supports these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms/bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.

We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The hospice is easily accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and North Notts. We have free secure on-site parking for families and staff to use. 

The role:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as the Events Fundraiser teamed with a commercial sales focus. This role requires a unique blend of fundraising expertise and commercial acumen to drive our vision forward. To manage an engaging programme of supporter events at Bluebell Wood including budget forecasting and reconciliation.  

To plan and run a strong and successful events programme to raise substantial income and awareness across the Bluebell Wood catchment area, attracting different sections of the community including family members and corporates.

To be the leader and person in charge at all Bluebell Wood fundraising events and activities including third party and mass participation events. Additionally, this role will focus on developing commercial sales strategies to generate revenue through partnerships, sponsorships, and product sales. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both fundraising and sales, with a proven track record of achieving targets and building lasting relationships.

An exciting role for a data-savvy and highly motivated candidate with strong technical expertise to help increase Global Canopy's impact by making world-leading environmental and financial data more accessible to our key audiences in the finance sector, business, government and civil society. 

The role requires strong data engineering and data management skills, as well as strong analytical and strategic thinking.

The role will focus in particular on the ENCORE tool which helps governments, central banks, financial institutions and businesses assess their nature-related risks and impacts around the world.

To be successful in this role,  these are the things that will matter the most: 

• Strong professional experience in data management/engineering, including skills for pooling and organising different datasets together.
• Excellent analytical and conceptual development skills with both an eye for detail and accuracy and an ability to see the bigger picture, including Global Canopy's role in the sustainable finance landscape.
• A strong drive to understand financial institutions and corporates' needs in financial risk assessment and ways to maximise impact on their sustainable behaviour.

Desirable attributes:

• Coding in Python and/or R and/or Matlab.
• Experience in supply chain analysis, eg. MRIO.
• Experience with sustainable finance/ecological economics/ecology.
• Experience with risk-assessment methods at financial institutions and/or central banks (eg. Value-at-Risk, stress testing…).
