THE ROLE
The Grants and Trusts Fundraiser will inspire grant bodies, charitable trusts, and foundations to support our mission. This is a key role in growing our funding to achieve our ambitious 2030 strategy. As part of the Grants and Trusts team, you'll craft and submit high-quality funding bids and projects, working closely with colleagues, partner organisations, and funders. The role will lead collaborative project teams, to present compelling cases to maximise funding opportunities, ensuring projects meet organisational and funder criteria. 
Attending external meetings to foster relationships and develop partnership agreements is vital to the success of this role, as is staying updated on funding trends to identify new opportunities and maintain the Trust's reputation with top-notch bids and reporting.
This is a Hybrid working role, where you’ll work part of your time at home with time spent on site and project visits (once a month depending on the project). You will also be expected to attend a team/departmental meeting in Grantham each quarter.

THE CANDIDATE
You will have experience creating compelling propositions that lead to tangible outcomes, excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and a proven ability to build partnership bids. Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines are essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills. The role requires a confident, enthusiastic team player who can inspire others and work collaboratively. You will be self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision, and ambitious in achieving results. Experience in project development and management, including budgets, and an understanding of impact evaluation and reporting are also necessary.

The purpose of this role is to support the philanthropy team in managing fundraising initiatives and will be achieved through efficient administration, researching donor prospects, and specifically supporting the team and Head of World Fellowship and Philanthropy with all administrative duties. This role will also hold responsibility for the accurate and timely input of Fundraising-specific information into the organisation’s management information systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative support for the Philanthropy team.
• Coordination of meetings for various groups such as our Development Group and Special

Projects Advisory Committee;

• Arranging times

• To be an alternative point of contact for team enquiries.
• Monitor the general email inbox, and distribute enquires to the relevant person(s).
• Assist team leads with general administration when requested, including biographies, letters and receipts.
• Provide support to donors as and when is required such as providing information onevents.
• Proactively supporting with administration of financial transactions such as creating payment reminders and receipts.
• Aiding in the creation of the quarterly newsletter, collating news pieces on the Award and events.

Assist the team in the run up to events and at events, specifically:

• Liaising with guests in the run up to events to deal with any enquiries they may have
• Collating proformas
• Supporting at events to ensure that the event runs smoothly

Assist with the day-to-day administration of our CRM, Salesforce, for the team.

Specifically:

• Uploading documents to accounts
• Adding accounts to campaigns
• Creating Leads and Accounts for prospects and new donors

• Conduct due diligence reports on new donors and lead the reports through the appropriate channels for approval.
• Ensuring all processes are fully compliant with fundraising regulation.
• Undertake any other duties as required by the Foundation to support the successful delivery of the organisation’s objectives

The role

This role will play a key part in the success of fundraising at The King’s Trust International, both through managing a small portfolio of both philanthropy and corporate donors and more broadly through supporting the fundraising of the wider team. This exciting and varied role will provide key stewardship, reporting and event support as needed to cultivate and progress our funding pipeline. About you

What would we like…?

We're looking for someone with a background in graphic design and a keen eye for detail to join our Learning Design team as Graphic Designer for a 12-month FTC, to cover a period of maternity leave within the team.
 
You'll be responsible for for creating visuals and infographics for use across a range of different formats, including both digital and print. You'll use your understanding of graphic design principles and your technical design skills to help participants on our programmes both navigate our materials and make sense of complex information. 

We would like you to:

• Create graphics for use in our learning materials, both print and digital 
• Refine and, in some instances, establish visual style guides for each resource to ensure that all materials are aligned with our Ambition Institute’s brand style, accessible to all and replicable at scale. 
• Use your knowledge of core graphic design principles to inform your work and  support colleagues in learning design to use graphics effectively (relating to principles such as: typography, layout. colour and illustration)
• Collaborate with colleagues in the Learning Design team and across the organisation to translate ideas, information and concepts into strong visuals. 
• Writing briefs for external graphic designers, which accurately describe the work, provide clear style guidance and specifications and set clear timelines for completion of the work. 
   

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to Associate Director, Production.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team day (which rotate across our regional offices)  and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have a minimum of level 3 qualification in Graphic Design, e.g. degree, diploma or apprenticeship. You'll demonstrate an ability to work in a flexible manner and have experience of working in both digital and media print. 

It is essential that you are able to work efficiently in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe In Design. You'll also demonstrate an ability to work with content designers to help them turn their knowledge of information or a concept into a visual image.  

Whilst an ability to create clear and accurate briefs for external Graphic Designers and knowledge of accessibility standards are desirable, it is not essential that you have prior experience to apply for this role. We will provide training and development where there are gaps.

In order to realise this ambition, we need to generate year to year incremental annual surplus for sustainability of Rainham Foodbank operations and projects.

Through this new organisational role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with individuals, community groups and grant giving trusts and foundations. You'll be at the heart of our local community, bringing our cause to life and building lasting donor relationships.

Through your fundraising expertise, you will have a proven track record of building relationships with individuals, community groups, trusts and foundations and other donors to achieve and exceed annual income targets and KPI’s. You’ll have the capacity to create and craft compelling proposals and appeals that successfully engage and attract donations from new and existing supporters.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Through the design and delivery of excellent, engaging and regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals, you will grow our income and pool of individual supporters making one off or monthly donations. You’ll also explore and implement ways of promoting Rainham Food Bank across the community to successfully attract an ever-greater number of individual donors.

· You’ll engage with local community groups, associations, events, schools and businesses in order to grow Rainham Food Bank’s community fundraising reach and income.

· Through excellent, comprehensive and considered research, you’ll identify and prioritise a pool of potential Trusts and Foundations funders for Rainham Food Bank and, working with colleagues, you’ll develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding bids that can successfully engage new and existing Trusts and Foundations funders.  

· You’ll work closely with and support the CEO of Rainham Food Bank in maintaining and evolving the existing relationship with neighbouring Trussell Trust food banks across London, seeking and pursuing joint trusts funding opportunities.

· You’ll establish a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income.

· You’ll forge strong relationships with colleagues across the wider Trussell Trust network, sharing best practice and learning from other charities across the network. You’ll proactively take advantage of any fundraising training and skills development opportunities and engage with any joint fundraising opportunities.

Skills

· You’ll have good, established experience of individual giving, community fundraising and Trusts and Foundations fundraising.

· With excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling and winning funding proposals and appeals.

· You’ll have experience of setting, managing and reporting against fundraising KPI’s.

Digital Fundraising and Marketing Manager

Hours and Contract: Full time – 34.5 hours per week, permanent contract

The opportunity

The Society for the Protection of Animals Abroad (SPANA) is the charity for the working animals of the world. Since 1923, working through a series of global projects and partnerships across 23 low-income countries, SPANA has supported the welfare of working donkeys, horses, camels, oxen and other working animals in communities that depend on them for water, transport, agriculture, and their very survival. 

Your key responsibilities include:

Digital Programme management

• Develop, implement and optimise innovative multi-channel digital strategies that drive online visibility and performance on platforms such as web, e-mail, organic social and paid media.
• Develop, implement and optimise effective digital campaigns to target audiences to meet fundraising KPIs, enhance brand awareness and drive new leads.
• Create compelling digital content – including e-mail campaigns, landing pages, social media posts and paid media ads – ensuring assets are tailored to respective channels and target audiences.
• Implement SEO strategies to improve online visibility and drive organic growth. Ensure all digital content is SEO optimised and complies with brand guidelines.
• Manage external web agencies and oversee the development and maintenance of the SPANA website.
• Work collaboratively with the Digital Engagement Manager to build and maintain an integrated digital activity calendar, house style and overarching digital strategy.
• Lead the charge in shaping SPANA’s online presence and driving strategic online growth.

Programme support and administration

• Work with colleagues to ensure digital activities comply with all aspects of fundraising and data regulation, including in relation to marketing preferences and GDPR. 
• Provide advice and support to colleagues across SPANA on making digital activities as efficient and effective as possible in achieving strategic objectives.
• Work with the Head Marketing & Digital to set and manage annual digital budgets.
• Provide support for digital team colleagues during absences.
• Provide social media monitoring and out of hours cover where necessary.
• Stay informed of upcoming trends and developments within the field of digital marketing and make recommendations accordingly.
