Since 1971, they’ve invested over £16 million in studies to improve diagnosis and treatment. The charity also provides expert information, raises public awareness, and empowers individuals to seek help for digestive conditions.
Research shows that 58% of people are embarrassed to talk about their digestive condition or symptoms and 51% of people delay seeking advice for their symptoms for over 6 months. Guts UK’s vision is of a world where digestive disorders are better understood, better treated, and everyone who lives with one gets the support they need.
The charity has big ambitions for the future, with the Philanthropy and Trusts Manager playing a key role in supporting the charity to increase income to deliver greater impact through services and support. You'll work as part of a close-knit team, leading the development of the Trusts & Foundations portfolio, alongside identifying opportunities for corporate partnerships.
As Philanthropy and Trusts Manager you will craft compelling proposals, identifying new opportunities for funding and applying a relationship-led approach to ensure long-term, impactful support. You will have autonomy to think creatively and strategically, working closely with the senior team to proactively identify funding opportunities that support the strategic aims of the charity.
The Role:
- Develop and implement strategies for trusts, foundations and corporate fundraising, growing a prospect pipeline by identifying opportunities to secure multi-year/high value support from these audiences.
- Create compelling proposals/pitches, targeting high value funders and showcasing opportunities for innovative partnerships/funding.
- Foster a relationship-led approach, enabling strategic stewardship and account management of new/existing funders to maximise funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders (internally and externally) to support long term plans and enable long term, sustainable growth of income.
About You:
- Experience of trusts/corporate fundraising, with a proven track record of identifying and securing 5-figure donations.
- Strong account/relationship management skills, with a proactive approach to maximise opportunities and develop long-term relationships.
- Skilled in pipeline management and prospect research, including working closely with key stakeholders to identify network opportunities.
- A creative and collaborative nature, with the ability to work as part of a small, ambitious team, to propose and initiate new ideas/projects.

Charity People are excited to be recruiting for a top cancer related charity to find them a new Fundraising Products Executive. The role is to support the delivery of a range of fundraising products, including virtual events, to achieve net income targets, and providing excellent supporter care and stewardship, to drive engagement and retention of supporters.
The successful postholder will support the Fundraising Products Manager with the planning, delivery and development of products and virtual events, and work with wider teams such as digital, events and marketing teams to monitor and report on overall performance of investments and develop effective marketing engagement pieces. You will implement and deliver communication plans and content across variety of channels (email, SMS, social media channels, FAQ documents, website).
There are a few virtual events coming up early next year which they would like the successful person to assist with to help facilitate and put processes and plans in place. You will be experienced in fundraising (supporter care, products, community, or events fundraising) and a confident communicator, particularly skilled in writing, as there is a fair amount of work that requires strong writing skills, in terms of drafting templates and managing supporter stories. The role would suit someone who has been working in a fundraising role for a while who is looking to develop their careers in fundraising to a more senior level. The Maternal Mental Health Alliance’s (MMHA) Everyone’s Business campaign calls for all women throughout the UK who experience a perinatal mental health problem to receive the care and support they and their families need, wherever and whenever they need it. This role will play a key part in supporting MMHA’s successful campaign and helping drive change for women, babies and families affected by mental health problems during pregnancy and after birth.
Job purpose
- Support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the MMHA campaigns.
- Contribute to researching and producing campaign materials.
- Maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders to support campaign objectives, including MMHA members, MPs, academics and lived experience champions.
- Support MMHA projects, contributing to the delivery of the MMHA’s strategy.
- Support the campaign team with administrative tasks, meetings and events.
Main responsibilities
- Work with the Head of Campaigns and Policy, Communications Manager, and senior leadership to develop and deliver campaigning activities to improve maternal mental health care in the UK.

Hillside Clubhouse operates an established Employment Advice (EA) service integrated into NHS Talking Therapies. The programme aims to support Islington residents who are assessed within Talking Therapies and who require employment advice.
The EAs in Talking Therapies initiative was designed as an integrated employment and mental health service to improve both mental health and employment outcomes. EAs are part of the Talking Therapies team and work alongside therapists to provide employment support to assist clients remain in work, return to work, or find employment. This takes the form of personalised support for the client backed up by an action plan detailing the client’s employment goals and the actions that the client, the therapist, and the EA agree to take to meet these goals.
Overall aim
Talking Therapies is an NHS Programme that provides evidence based psychological therapies to treat people with mild to moderate and moderate to severe depression and anxiety disorders.
The new Employment Advisor (EA) will work within the Islington NHS Talking Therapies provision. They will work one-to-one with a caseload of between 25-35 clients referred by NHS Talking Therapies therapists to find employment, remain in existing work if they are struggling, improve their working environment, return to work following sickness or positively leave or retire from work.
You will primarily fulfil these duties by providing information, advice and guidance to clients who choose to receive employment support. The support aims to empower clients to make better decisions about their working lives, as well as communicate better with colleagues and managers in existing roles. You will also signpost clients to other relevant support agencies, as appropriate.
This role would suit someone with a background in employment support, psychology, counselling, human resources, recruitment, or a desire to transfer their skills into the mental health support sector.
Method of working
EMPLOYMENT ADVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Engage a mixed caseload of clients at any given time serving 100-125 per year, with common mental health problems, to establish trusting, collaborative relationships to support them to find new employment or support them in, or to leave, existing employment. Support will be provided face-to-face in Talking Therapies settings, via secure online meeting platforms or over the telephone.
2. Along with their NHS clinician, assess clients’ support needs with a view to creating, implementing, and adjusting a personalised action plan to help improve clients’ mental health and achieve their stated employment goals.
3. Develop and deliver a range of practical services to support clients to find work, including career guidance, job searching skills, CV preparation, application form completion, interview skills, advice on local labour market opportunities and advice on education and training to further their career.
4. Provide guidance to support clients to stay in existing work, including advice on mental health disclosure, negotiating reasonable adjustments to existing workplaces, creating wellness action plans, and improving productivity, support to return to work after sickness absence or to leave an existing role with dignity, and signpost clients to organisations that can represent them (EAs should only look to represent clients in exceptional circumstances).
5. Facilitate access to other advice in areas such as financial benefits, debt management, food banks and community food outlets and social housing providers, as necessary.
6. Work directly with partners like Jobcentre Plus, other employment providers, employers, trade unions and employment agencies to support clients to stay in employment and secure employment opportunities.
7. Build a constant flow of referrals from the clinical team to ensure a dynamic and mixed caseload.
8. Meet referral and performance targets in line with the specific KPI / SLA requirements of the service.
9. Regularly attend team and other meetings as reasonably expected.
10. Maintain accurate and up to date records of activity and outcomes in line with service requirements, ensuring both the NHS and Hillside Clubhouse databases are kept up to date and paperwork compliant.
11. Receive regular supervision and training to meet individual, team and organisation’s needs.
12. Contribute to the development of a service that is locally responsive and supports minority/disadvantaged communities.
13. Comply with and actively promote all Hillside policies and procedures including Equality and Diversity, safeguarding and data protection.

The role holder must also:
1. Pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an Enhanced level.

DFN Project SEARCH is delivering transformative change, supporting, and helping young people with learning disabilities and autism into the world of work. Nationally only 4.8% of people with special educational needs and disabilities gain permanent paid employment in the UK yet 70 percent of DFN Project SEARCH graduates gain jobs, 60 percent of them achieving full-time permanent roles.
You will be required to improve the quality and outcomes of existing DFN Project SEARCH programmes across a geographical area. This is with the aim of supporting the organisations to ensure that every intern has the best possible chance to gain full-time paid employment. The focus of this role is to ensure continuous improvement across all sites, relating to model fidelity and outcomes. This relates particularly to sites achieving less than 60% employment outcomes.
Our model means that our regional Programme Specialists form new partnerships and develop new DFN Project SEARCH sites, supporting them through to year one of delivery. These sites will then be passed to our Programme Impact Co-ordinator team where you will then be required to continue to nurture these strong partnerships and provide ongoing training and support to colleagues within your region. You may also be required to support colleagues by promoting DFN Project SEARCH in other areas and contribute to the development of relevant new focussed materials and resources.

Job Purpose
We are at a critical point in the development of our organisation as we build a new strategy and start a period of transformation. This executive director role will lead this change by creating the right environment to drive strategic, technological and cultural transformation at NCVO, so we deliver innovative services and long-term systemic positive impact to our members and the wider voluntary sector over the next decade.
Dimensions
This role will join the executive team, reporting to the CEO and the board of trustees. They will create a new directorate – the transformation unit – which will deliver key strategic projects that have a demonstrable impact on the organisational culture, growth and capabilities. This will include significant investment, and they will be responsible for a large budget. The strategic decisions they recommend, will impact our resilience and sustainability as an organisation, as well as ensuring we service our membership of over 17,000 organisations. They will support with driving income, looking for commercial opportunities, particularly with how we use our data. Embedded in all of this will be ensuring we have robust and rigorous organisational design, so everything from our systems and data collection to our policies and processes, meet the needs of our diverse workforce, partners and customers, and adhere to the highest levels of compliance.
Essential Knowledge and Skills Required

The Role
Our influencing work is changing the UK conversation about domestic abuse, with both national
and locally based elected representatives and the officials and colleagues who work alongside them.
As our Policy and Public Affairs Manager, you’ll lead impactful policy initiatives that align with our mission to end domestic abuse and to ensure support for the whole family, preventing harm, reducing risk and supporting recovery. Working closely with our Head of Public Affairs and Policy, you’ll develop strategies which will amplify our voice and the voice of survivors, and deepen our policy engagement, particularly in relation to multi-agency work, health and family justice.
You will be joining the organisation at a pivotal moment as the new Government makes an explicit commitment to halve VAWG in ten years, including planning a new strategy and a number of new Bills to support this mission This provides an unmissable policy development and influencing opportunity to ensure that SafeLives’ priorities for improving the response to domestic abuse are taken forward by Government.
This is an ideal role for a dynamic and experienced policy manager with a commitment to social change and the prevention of domestic abuse.
You will be based in our London office and/or remote working, with regular meetings in London and occasional travel to other locations around the UK, including our Bristol office.
