Job description

Position: Move On Support Worker

Location: Watford

Salary: £13.50 plus holiday pay = £15.13 per hour or 18.00 via umbrella per hour

Contract: 6 months with potential to become permanent

Shifts: (37.50 hours a week)

Week of earlies: 08:00 - 16:00

Week of lates: 13:00 - 21:00

1 weekend a month

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Move On Support Worker to join our team in a low-medium needs hostel with a capacity of 200 beds (18 month maximum stay). The role involves managing a caseload of 15-20 low - medium need clients, assisting them in transitioning to suitable accommodation, and connecting them with appropriate external services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting and updating needs and risk assessments.
  • Accompanying clients to appointments.
  • Assisting clients in obtaining identification.
  • Helping with benefits applications and ensuring clients receive all eligible benefits.
  • Assisting clients in setting up bank accounts.
  • Promoting independent living skills and preparing clients for move-on.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in a similar role or within a support environment.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work collaboratively with external services.
  • Compassionate and patient, with a commitment to promoting client independence.

In order to apply for this position, you must have an enhanced child and adult checked DBS on the update service or issued within the last 12 months, we can help you obtain one if you do not currently possess one
