Job Role: To promote Forces Employment Charity Ex Forces Programme across the UK and provide employability and employment support for veterans in order that they find appropriate sustainable employment, or another Preferred Vocational Outcome.
The role reports to Ex Forces Employment Manager. This position is permanent Full-time, 35 hours per week, with a salary of £28,325. The successful candidate will be Home based, with local and regional travel. Ex Forces Employment Consultant will spend an average of 30% of their time networking within their region.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Provide advice and guidance to support veterans into employment.
· Develop links with local and regional businesses and business forums to develop relationships with Corporate Mentors and to provide enhanced local level employment opportunities, working collaboratively with Employer Relationship Managers (ERMs).
· Facilitate veterans to access suitable training courses, funding and work placements.
· Post and maintain an exemplar professional LinkedIn profile and engage with appropriate content from FEC and partner organisations.
· Link with local and regional Ex-Armed Forces support agencies initiatives to create a flow of veterans requiring employment support. This will include as a minimum creating working relationships with Armed Forces Charities and DWP and regional Armed Forces Champions (including Armed Forces Covenant groups).
· Contribute to FEC’s online community engaging veterans with the self-help tools and Corporate Mentors.
· Attend all CTP Employment Fairs in your region as an exhibitor. Publicise the role of FEC in supporting veteran employment.
· Co-ordinate with partner charities and refer clients to support as identified by their needs assessment.
· Manage client caseload on our CRM system, in accordance with work instructions.
· Represent the values and professional expertise of FEC to all external audiences.
· The 30% networking time will involve attending partner meetings, employment events and collaboration with other charities/agencies that specialise in support to veterans. The time spent doing this will be captured on our CRM and will be measurable.
· Undertake other actions as required by the Ex-Forces Employment Manager.
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
Essential Competencies:
· Empathy with Armed Forces personnel and an understanding of the challenges they face.
· Strong networking skills and the enthusiasm and ability to create relationships that will support the work of FEC.
· Motivated self-starter with ability to work largely unsupervised within a multi-disciplinary environment dedicated to achieving successful outcomes for veterans.
· Extensive experience in blended provision of support.
· Clean driving licence and exclusive use of a car.
Desirable Competencies:
· Demonstrable experience of supporting adults into employment.
· Existing network of regional and local organisations who support the Armed Forces Community.
· Existing Linkedin network of veterans and individuals within Armed Forces Charities, statutory organisations and employers.
· A good understanding of the employment market, including recruitment, welfare to work provision, work-based learning, and vocational training.
· Mental Health First Aid Training.
· NVQ L4 in Advice, Information and Guidance.

The successful candidate is required to undergo an Enhanced DBS security clearance check.

About the role:

To be successful as the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will have prior experience and knowledge of:

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual to bolster the analytical and data visualisation capacity across Ambition Institute’s Partnerships division.
As a Partnerships Data Analyst, you’ll be the expert on providing easy-to-understand data visualisation and reporting solutions to support Ambition Institute’s Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, Admissions and Development teams.
Sitting in the Partnerships Operations team, you will work with stakeholders across the department to provide teams with data driven insight that enables the teams to make effective decisions and to monitor their recruitment pipeline efficiently and accurately.
We would like you to:
- Support continuous improvement by building reporting tools to improve task efficiency for internal customers, and investigate and resolve data issues and queries
- Ensure accuracy and consistency between our data and DfE and Ofsted data, and benchmark our data against public sector statistics.
- Produce regular reports for senior stakeholders, providing oversight and insights into recruitment pipelines and performance using Power BI and Salesforce.
- Provide written and in person guidance on how to use reporting tools, interpret data, and maintain data cleanliness within the department.
Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Associate Director of Partnerships Operations. In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To succeed in this role you'll have proven experience in working with quantitative data, undertaking analysis and providing reports to senior stakeholders. You will need to have experience of working with data stored in a CRM such as Salesforce, Excel skills, and proficiency with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or similar. Strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, and the ability to manage sensitive information with discretion are also essential in this role.

Role Summary
In 2020/21, the Careers & Enterprise Company appointed its first ever Youth Board Member to the strategic board of directors, to give young people a decision-making voice. The CEC subsequently established a national Youth Advisory Group, to establish and embed an organisation wide approach to capturing Youth Voice, both for the purpose of driving impact and measuring the value of our work. This work has already had a huge impact on the company, and we are looking to embed Youth Voice still further into our work at a more strategic level.
The Youth Advisory Group has three primary functions across The Careers & Enterprise Company, to:
- Govern: challenge CEC’s work to consider youth voice
- Enrich: focus on the future of CEC's strategic direction
- Advise: mobilising their voice in key projects and priorities
The Careers & Enterprise Company is seeking to recruit an 18-month fixed term Youth Engagement Officer to support the administration, facilitation and delivery of youth engagement and participation across our organisation. The role will sit within the Education Development Team and work closely with our Youth Advisory Group and Youth Board members. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to champion youth voice and deliver high quality youth participation activities.
This new role has an exciting remit to develop practice, to innovate in youth voice practice, to lead on the operational delivery of the Youth Advisory Group and support with the strategic direction of this work. Reporting directly to the Education Manager responsible for youth voice, but also working effectively across the directorate and across the company, you will manage the delivery of various aspects of our operations including, but not limited to:
1. Effective project management – to ensure that CEC’s YAG has the greatest impact possible, you will work with colleagues from across the business, including at times the Careers Hub Network and put in place the right tools and processes for effective delivery of all elements of the youth voice. This may include establishing and managing relationships across teams, efficient reporting procedures and may extend to other areas of CEC’s ever evolving programme of work.
2. Innovate and design – CEC’s work, and the careers education landscape, is continually evolving. Responding to changing needs of the company, skills of the YAG members and proactively planning for project pivots, will be essential to success in this role. You will look for creative ways to strengthen youth voice across the company.
The Youth Engagement Officer will support the ongoing delivery of our Youth Advisory Group to ensure that young people bring their lived experience to meaningfully and authentically shape our work: from shaping our priorities and projects, through to supporting us to guide policy makers.
