St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. We do this through developing and providing effective community response and outreach services (e.g. Ambulance response, Falls response, Night Time Economy and Homelessness outreach) and using our longstanding expertise to empower people with vital clinical skills and the confidence to use them (e.g. our Volunteers and Community Advocates, NHS Cadets and Young Responders programmes). There is also a buoyant social enterprise network which delivers first aid training and supplies medical consumables to businesses and consumers.

Job Summary

This role plays a vital part in delivering sales growth to meet the annual financial targets of the Sales and Business Development Commercial Workplace Training & Supplies Teams. The key objective is to build long term sustainable relationships in both virtual and face to face with major customers and to develop existing customers to drive growth and achieve sales revenue targets in both First Aid and Health & Safety markets for both training products/supplies. (NAE Reseller Domestic and International, and NAE Supplies will be just for Supplies). In addition, the post holder will identify and win new customers through targeting high profile corporate prospects for training and supplies from both commercial and public sectors throughout the territory. To plan & successfully roll out new products/systems prioritising customers as required as these come to market.

About You

To be successful in this role, you need to be educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C or 4) including Maths & English, Experience of building rapport & developing sustainable relationships in a B2B environment with major corporate customers, Demonstrate experience to win, retain and grow new customers in a face to face environment and excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

About the Role

  • This role plays a vital part in delivering sales growth to meet the annual financial targets of the Sales and Business Development Commercial Workplace Training & Supplies Teams. The key objective is to manage the renewal contracts and pricing for our lower spending National Account customers. Retaining their valued custom, highlight opportunities for growth and acting as an escalation point to support their business needs.
