Who are we looking for?

Ideally candidates will have broad finance experience in areas such as financial planning and analysis, financial reporting and risk management. You will be able to monitor financial performance against targets and provide variance analysis. You will have the ability to complete the preparation and analysis of financial statements and ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience of developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and evaluating investment opportunities and potential acquisitions is also a skill set that would be beneficial to this role. Ideal candidates will be qualified in a relevant finance qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or QBE. The position:

As Social Media Coordinator, you will live and breathe all things social media, leading all activities across our Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as keeping an eye out for opportunities elsewhere on social media. 

A social media wizard with strong working knowledge of social channels, you’ll implement a digital strategy focused on engaging and converting our community to take action for animals.

This role reports to the Digital Communications Manager.

Hours:

This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Friday. 

From 1st July 2024 we are piloting a four day working week across the whole of the UK organisation. This pilot is planned to run for 12 months, at which point a decision will be made by our Board of Trustees as to whether this will become permanent. Success of the trial relies on the organisation being able to achieve the same or improved level of impact in four working days as five, with staff experiencing either the same or improved levels of wellbeing.

During the four day week pilot, working hours for this position will be reduced to 30 hours per week, to be worked across Monday to Thursday, with no reduction in salary. This will be a temporary change to the contractual terms for the successful candidate. The appointed person must be prepared to increase their working hours to 37.5 hours per week if a return to a five-day working week is decided. In the event that THL UK considers before the end of the trial period that the trial is having an adverse operational impact, we reserve the right to bring the trial to end on one month’s notice.

Who you are:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ownership of our social media channels, posting content regularly that is tailored to each channel and ensuring each channel’s features are used to create the biggest impact for our supporters.

• Planning and building social media campaigns that strategically integrate goals and consider metrics.

• Updating the communications calendar.

• Create inspiring concepts and develop these into compelling, on-brand, platform-specific content using tools like Canva.

• Social media community management including moderating and responding to comments and messages.

• Regularly monitoring social trends to create topical content.

• Using tools such as Google Analytics, Facebook insights, and Sprout Social to report on post performance and monitor and evaluate success, on a monthly basis.

• Design, run, and monitor social media advertising campaigns to grow and mobilise our network.

• Keep up to date with new features and tech related to social media platforms, as well as other organisations’ activity, to ensure the most engaging and effective content.

• Encourage and assist staff members in producing social media content, supporting them with creative and technical guidance and giving feedback.

• Contribute to other communications activities such as website and PR content, as necessary.

The Role

Reporting to the PR Manager, the role will help deliver key media campaigns that call for change to support people to rebuild their lives after stroke.

Key responsibilities will include:

As CTA's Business Development Manager, your role involves increasing the uptake of MiDAS training and growing CTA membership. To do this you will need to have/develop an in-depth knowledge of the sector, be able to conduct your own research, develop relationships with our key stakeholders, and track performance metrics.

Promoting CTA services, increasing uptake, and retention.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing members, ensuring their satisfaction and engagement to retain our existing membership.

The charity works across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and supports people through one of the most painful times in life, providing support and guidance. Working closely with the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, the role is responsible for managing the finance function and developing a culture of providing financial help and support across the charity. Responsibilities include day to day management of the finance function, overseeing and motivating a staff team of 5. You will prepare and develop management reporting, including monthly management accounts and restricted fund accounts, ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations, prepare budgets, and manage the year end accounts and audit process including drafting charity SORP financial statements. Other responsibilities include developing strong business partnering with budget holders, developing a costing model to support funding applications, managing payroll and pensions, and ensuring VAT returns are prepared and submitted on time. You will also take the lead on process improvements, where appropriate to ensure efficient and effective running of the finance team and it’s support to the wider organisation.
 
The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing finance functions within the charity sector, with an excellent understanding of SORP and charity compliance. You will be either fully qualified or qualified by experience and will have demonstrable experience of managing and motivating finance teams effectively and be accomplished at building relationships, driving the team towards more effective business partnering with the wider organisation. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly with both finance and non finance colleagues. You will be a hands on manager with experience of working both operationally and strategically.

The Interim CEO will be accountable for all aspects of operational delivery, ensuring that targets are met while enabling the Board of Trustees to fulfil its strategic and governance responsibilities. About the CORPORATE FUNDRAISER role:

This is a remote role with occasional travel.

This role will provide both account management and new business support within the corporate partnerships function of the relationship fundraising team.

Purpose of the role

As a member of the Business Support Team, the post holder will work closely with our leads and their teams to understand and support organisational and programme requirements across our diverse and exciting areas of interest.

Key Activities

• Liaise and work with leads with confidence, replying to external and internal queries where possible and escalating others as needed. Keep in regular contract with team members ensuring that they, alongside external stakeholders, understand the support the post holder can provide.
• Gather the necessary information to complete key contractual paperwork throughout the project lifecycle, including contract set up and the prompt receipt and processing of client contracts. Work with the Finance Manager and relevant lead to ensure that invoicing schedules and billing particulars are up to date, that client specific activity reporting is completed accurately, and NDTi’s schedule for delivery is maintained.
• Maintain a schedule of project outputs and work to ensure reports, events and other deliverables are planned and delivered on time, liaising with colleagues across other work areas where needed.
• Plan, organise and effectively project manage regular events of both online and residential including at scale.

• Lead the process for delegate and stakeholder sign up, liaising with leads to ensure good representation and attendance levels are achieved. Work with the lead to ensure any specific requirements, for example, allocation of places and accessibility needs are managed and met.
• With the project coordinator, work to deliver the event on time and within budget. Keep leads updated, alerting them to potential overspend or other issues, such as take up/attendance levels that could impact the success of the event, as they arise.
• Actively update website and other source information about our team, our work, our events and our resources, ensuing they are up-to-date, and are in keeping with in house and project specific branding guidelines.

• Organise and lead on the booking process and internal organisation of CLS Network workshops and other Network-wide meetings.
• To manage all CLS invoicing ensuring data from contracts is transferred to an invoice and ensuring invoices are logged within the database.
• Collect data in relation to attendance across the CLS sites at Network wide events and workshops and provide regular reports to Network members and CLS team members as required.
• Attend large gatherings in person, lead the setting up and liaison with the venue and provide the welcome and any support to participants to ensure they get the most out of the experience.

Financial Reporting Accountant | £50,000 - £54,632 | Permanent | Fully Remote / Home Based
