In this role, you’ll ensure that MyBnk have robust and appropriate systems, practices and processes that enable us to deliver best-in-class operational programmes to our learners. This will be rooted in more effective use of data and insights to drive the development of our programme suite. Critical to our new strategy, is driving an ambitious and forward-thinking approach to programme innovation; ensuring our programmes are learner centred, purpose driven and leverage the best techniques for building financial fluency.

Our charity

ACCT UK is a national youth charity dedicated to improving the life chances of young people. The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Together we want to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn new skills, build confidence and be inspired through their cadet experience.

About GLAN 

The Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) works with affected communities to pursue innovative legal actions across borders to challenge states and other powerful actors involved in human rights violations and systemic injustice. Our actions address the most pressing instances of human rights concern and they fall within the following themes: War and occupation; accountability and supply chains; environmental and economic justice; and migration and border violence.

Since our establishment in 2016, we have developed legal strategies directly addressing human rights impacts in over 23 countries and territories. Our cases include the successful legal challenge against imports of cotton produced with forced labour in Xinjiang (East Turkistan) into the UK on behalf of World Uyghur Congress and the climate case against 32 European States before the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights, brought on behalf of six Portuguese youth-applicants.

More recently, we have supported the preeminent Palestinian human rights organisation Al Haq, to rapidly challenge UK weapons exports to Israel due to the risk of these arms being used in violations of international law 

About the Role 

GLAN has a small yet powerful fundraising team.  Our Development Lead excels in relationship fundraising, having forged multi-year funding partnerships with aligned Trusts & Foundations and major donors. Additionally, our Fundraising Officer has successfully established GLAN’s individual giving programme, leveraging crowdfunding and nurturing potential regular givers. 

We face a pivotal moment as we seek to expand the team to build on our success and pursue new business.

Job purpose 

As GLAN’s Philanthropy Manager, you will support the launch of our new three year fundraising strategy.  The Philanthropy Manager role is crucial in leveraging the momentum gained from our existing fundraising successes. This role will focus on attracting new major donors, including high net worth individuals, trusts, foundations, and exploring corporate funding opportunities. The introduction of a dedicated Philanthropy Manager will allow us to: 

• Expand our Donor Base: Establish relationships with high net worth individuals, an area that holds significant potential but is currently underdeveloped at GLAN. 

• Increase Fundraising Capacity: Strengthen our ability to secure large-scale donations and grants, ensuring the sustainability and growth of our programs. 

• Achieve Strategic Goals: Meet the ambitious income targets outlined in our new fundraising strategy, supporting the expansion of our impactful legal initiatives. 

Responsibilities 

Income generation 

• Philanthropic Giving Programme Strategy Development: Create and implement strategies to secure new major gifts from high-net-worth individuals, Trusts & Foundations, and corporations.

• Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with major donors, ensuring a robust pipeline of high-value prospects. 

• Fundraising: Secure significant donations (5 and 6 figure gifts) from individuals and organisations. 

• Event Coordination: Plan and execute donor cultivation events, meetings, and site visits to engage major donors and showcase the impact of their support. 

• Budget Management: Oversee major donor income and expenditure budgets, ensuring targets are met. 

Collaboration 

• Work closely with senior leadership, trustees, and other stakeholders to align fundraising efforts with organisational goals. 

• Work closely with GLAN lawyers and communications team to enable the use of impactful case updates in your stewardship of donors.

• Support legal and finance teams to ensure project activities and expenditure is in line with grant contracts.

• Reporting: Utilise fundraising software and database systems to track donor interactions, manage donor relationships, and generate reports on fundraising progress.

• You must hold a qualification at Level 4 or above in counselling, psychology, psychotherapy, nursing or social work, and have suitable experience of working on the front line of mental health.

• You must be able to commit to taking shifts at times stipulated by our rota between three and five times per week on average, and be able to respond to occasional calls to help out if we are experiencing a substantial spike in demand at other times.

We have an exciting opening for someone to join our team as the Head of our Campaigns By You (CBY) team. We need a campaigns expert who understands politics, digital campaigning, platform management, partnership working and how to win both national and local grass roots campaigns.

The Head of Campaigns By You leads the CBY department, crafting plans and supporting the team to run impactful national and local campaigns launched by supporters and partner organisations, which aim to shape the country to be fair, respectful and sustainable. This role oversees the development, outreach and growth of our CBY platform to ensure that we’re giving the best possible support to petition starters and attracting a growing number of petition starters and partner organisations who share our values.

The Head of Campaigns By You must overview and lead the CBY team’s campaign outputs and the performance of the tech platform to ensure organisational health and sustainability. They manage risk, and are the escalation point for moderation decisions on what we host. They balance the CBY campaign team’s campaign portfolio to ensure that it’s engaging thousands of supporters and fundraising effectively in order to create political impact – and they lead the team to collaborate across the wider function and organisation. This is not a hands off role, you’ll be expected to lead the team by example.

HAMRAH seeks to equip Afghan civil society in exile to protect and strengthen the rights of vulnerable groups in Afghanistan, especially women and girls. We do this through core funding, capacity strengthening, network building and collaborative advocacy.

HAMRAH is hosted by Global Dialogue, an international philanthropy support organisation partnering with funders to advance rights, equity and diversity. Independent in status and global in reach, Global Dialogue provides funder networks, collaboratives and their partners with practical support and technical expertise to create lasting change.  

We seek a Senior Programme Officer – Development & Advocacy to ensure timely and effective implementation of project deliverables through day-to-day management of activities and processes.  

Hours This role is full-time (35 hours/week). We are open to negotiating a working pattern that works for the successful candidate and for Global Dialogue.

Remuneration This role has been benchmarked at a UK salary of £44,500 (pro rata for a part time position). The HAMRAH Initiative is designed to address the significant challenges faced by Afghan civil society organisations (CSOs) forced into exile, particularly women-led organisations, as they continue to provide protection for vulnerable groups within Afghanistan. The initiative focuses on fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and advocacy to safeguard the rights of vulnerable populations, including women and girls.

Through sustained technical support and resources, HAMRAH aims to build a stronger Afghan civil society equipped with essential organisational infrastructure, leadership skills, and collaborative networks to preserve hard-won gains and advance rights and protections for vulnerable groups.

Currently, we are supporting 10 Afghan CSOs in exile, located around the world, that continue working partially or fully inside Afghanistan to protect vulnerable populations, including women and girls, LGBTQ+ communities, and individuals with disabilities.

Overview    

The Senior Programme Officer - Development & Advocacy will play a vital role in advancing the HAMRAH initiative and strengthening the resilience of cohort organisations through fundraising, research, joint policy advocacy, communication, and capacity development. This position requires a dynamic and caring professional with experience working with Global South CSOs, as well as the passion and empathy to drive strategic initiatives, build partnerships, and amplify programmatic impact. In this role, you will collaborate closely with HAMRAH's partner cohort organisations (10 CSOs in exile), mentors, the advisory board, and other key stakeholders. The right post holder will be comfortable responding to the needs of a cohort of organisations whose priorities may change, which can lead to working in ways that require flexibility. There will be opportunities to explore, discuss and debate new ideas and consider how the latest research could benefit the cohort of organisations.

The Senior Programme Officer - Development & Advocacy will report to Programme Director.

Job Description 

Fundraising and Grant Writing: Work with the Programme Director to identify funding opportunities, lead the drafting and reviewing of proposals, concept notes, and grant applications for the HAMRAH initiative and its cohort organisations. Monitor funding trends and donor priorities to develop tailored and compelling proposals.

Policy and Joint Advocacy: Support HAMRAH and cohort organisations in designing and implementing targeted joint advocacy campaigns, including strategy and messaging development.  Help facilitate policy dialogue and engagement with relevant stakeholders, including government officials, donors, and civil society networks, to advance the priorities of HAMRAH and its cohort organisations.

Research and Analysis: Conduct research and analysis to inform programme strategies, advocacy efforts, and policy development. This includes helping produce briefing papers, reports, and articles with clear recommendations based on HAMRAH’s work and evidence.  Also monitor emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in Afghanistan and other exiled communities across Global South to ensure programming remains responsive, relevant and impactful. 

Communication and Reporting:  Lead the development of newsletters and other digital communication materials to showcase HAMRAH’s achievements and cohort organisations’ work.  If needed and approved by cohort, coordinate digital engagement strategies, including website updates and social media campaigns, to enhance HAMRAH visibility and outreach. Lead the drafting of narrative and financial reports to donors.

Capacity Development: support assessment of capacity-building needs of cohort organisations and develop tailored training plans to address identified gaps. When needed, provide technical support to cohort organisations to strengthen their operational and programmatic capacities.

Learning and Exchange: Support the planning and execution of online and in-person cross-learning exchange workshops with partner organisations in the Global South. Facilitate opportunities for collaboration and collective learning, and help establish global solidarity networks, platforms, and resources to enhance knowledge-sharing among cohort organisations.

• At least 5 years of experience in programme support across fundraising, joint advocacy, partnership, research and capacity development, particularly in the non-profit or international development sectors.

We have an exciting opening for someone to join our team as Head of Core Campaigns. Playing a senior role in our Impactful Campaigns department, you’ll help run and win campaigns that make the UK a better place but you’ll also be a key player in shaping the overall direction of 38 Degrees – including the culture, the team, and organisational strategy.

Day-to-day, you’ll be developing campaign and public affairs and media strategies and guiding teams to put those plans into action.

No one day will be the same: sometimes you’ll be responding quickly to a news moment and other times working on longer term projects and campaigns, often needing to change direction or reprioritise quickly and decisively.

You’ll be a champion of our supporters and come up with ideas and tactics – from digital tools like petitions, to media and working with external partners and allies – that will engage huge numbers of people, and allow us to make real change in the world. We need a campaigns expert who understands politics, the media, digital campaigning, partnership working and what it takes to win campaigns.

The Head of Core Campaigns leads the Campaigns team, overseeing and supporting the development of plans and supporting the team to run impactful, highly engaging campaigns, which aim to shape the country to be fair, respectful and sustainable; and the Public Affairs and Media team, to ensure that we’re taking every opportunity to show decision-makers our muscle and boost our brand and reputation.

We're looking for a Community Fundraising Manager - it's a great opportunity to develop a plan and deliver a diverse portfolio of fundraising activities to engage people with our work and contribute to our income.

You will manage a team to help develop innovative fundraising products, grow our supporter base and provide exceptional supporter stewardship.

Income generation  

• Responsible for supporting the development of a 3-year community fundraising income strategy to grow income from a modest base of £125k per year to circa £275k per year.
• Implement the operational plan for community fundraising income. 
• Plan, develop and deliver new community fundraising products, campaigns and events that will resonate with stakeholders including members, donors and volunteers to fundraise.

We support marginalised and isolated workers in labour sectors where there is a high risk of abuse and exploitation. We work in partnership with workers to build power to secure and advance workplace rights. We prevent human trafficking for forced labour by acting to reduce the risks of worker exploitation. Finance Team Leader 

• Oversee the group purchase and sales ledger invoicing, bank receipts, credits and refunds. 
• Support and be involved the development of our finance systems. 
• Take responsibility for key suppliers and customer accounts ensuring invoices are raised and accounts are reconciled regularly. 
• Responsible for processing of regular payment runs. 
• Ensure non-purchase ledger payments are posted and coded correctly. 
• Oversee sales ledger journals/income accruals and month end reconciliations. 
• Daily/weekly posting of treasury transactions daily and ensure bank reconciliations are undertaken regularly.

The Worker Support Centre (WSC) is a Scotland based charity that promotes decent work and prevents exploitation. We support marginalised and isolated workers in labour sectors where there is a high risk of abuse and exploitation. We work in partnership with workers to build power to secure and advance workplace rights. We prevent human trafficking for forced labour by acting to reduce the risks of worker exploitation. WSC values include: respect for human rights, representation, transparency, equality and innovation. 

WSC support includes advice, mediation, advocacy and assisted reporting to enforcement agencies. Our worker engagement informs policy change activity to address harms faced by those in high-risk work. In 2023 and 2024 WSC activities were targeted at workers in seasonal agriculture on the UK Seasonal Worker visa (SWV). During this time, we provided advice, support, and information to 1031 people in relation to the SWV. WSC is now embarking on a new project to engage workers in health and social care to advance social care workers’ rights through worker education and power sessions. 

About the role

This role is focused on advancing seasonal agricultural and social care workers’ rights by supporting WSC’s policy and advocacy work. In this role you will support WSC meet two of its four core objectives to work together with workers to claim spaces for power and representation in decision making; and to build the field of knowledge about workers and their experiences to influence policy. As well as work delivered directly by WSC, our policy work includes coordinating with coalitions such as the Ethical Trading Initiative, the Seasonal Worker Interest Group and the Scottish Food Coalition.

WSC strives to achieve representation of individuals with lived experience of the issues on which we work at all levels of our organisation and actively promote applications from individuals with experience of the issues on which we work. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

Policy and advocacy

· Lead in the development of components of policy, ensuring engagement of workers and cross-organisational engagement.

· Identify emerging legislation and develop an influencing strategy.

· Lead key influencing moments and processes, working in collaboration with policy coalitions of which WSC is part.

· Draft worker-informed and evidenced briefings, submissions to consultations in support of worker policy priorities and engage closely with civil servants, Government officials and other decision makers on policy objectives.

· Support participatory engagement with workers to understand what democratic engagement platforms might best suit them and help create opportunities to influence processes.

· Track, assess, understand and respond to future legislative developments and the strategic direction being taken by UK Government, UK Parliament, Scottish Parliament and Scottish Government.

Stakeholder engagement

· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior stakeholders in Government, enforcement authorities and industry.

· Contribute to wider sectoral networks and groups, including attending meetings and setting joint policy strategy objectives.

· Provide high-quality support to the CEO and other senior staff with external stakeholder engagement, developing targeted briefings.

Participation

· Support WSC Peer Engagement Officers to conduct participatory workshops with workers to understand their concerns and to develop and articulate collective concerns through influencing strategies.

· Support participatory analysis workshops with workers to jointly analyse concerns articulated in order to establish standards workers would like to see upheld for seasonal workers.

· Support the review and documentation of barriers to democratic engagement for seasonal agricultural workers and migrant social carers.  

· Actively support workers to engage in advocacy, including by providing worker-centred briefings on advocacy processes and meetings, ensuring meaningful participation and leadership by workers.

· Support workers to create spaces for policy influence, engaging in actively listening to worker priorities and concerns.

General

· Support the whole organisation goal to integrate workers in all our work at all levels of the organisation.

· Ensure effective monitoring, evaluation and learning of our work including contributing to organisational processes.

Person Specification

1) KNOWLEDGE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS

• WSC Organisational knowledge, and/or knowledge of the issues on which we work: labour rights, migrant rights, organising, anti-trafficking and human rights.
• Technical understanding of policy specific to the subject areas on which WSC works, particularly opportunity scanning, strategic entry points and key stakeholders of influence.
• Legislation/Policy: The post-holder will lead on the development of policy, engagement with legislation in passage through parliament (UK or Scottish) and implementation of legislation.  Considerable liaison with external stakeholders is required, understanding on how policy/legislation is made and knowledge and understanding of its technical content is essential. 
• Influencing and advocacy: Proven ability to identify key stakeholders of influence and to form strong relationships of influence.

2) QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree level in public policy, law, or human rights or equivalent experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in public policy, law or human rights.
• A valid UK Driving license.
