You will work to achieve progression outcomes for each young person that includes reducing mental, physical, and emotional harm and supporting each young person transition to positive, thriving lifestyle both on a one-to-one basis, and in partnership with other individuals and agencies involved in the lives of each young person.

Your purpose is to identify, disrupt, challenge, and support young people to move out of harm and prevent further involvement in harmful activities. This will involve targeted street work, specialised one to one harm reduction and life skills coaching. 

Alongside this you will work with intervention frontline colleagues in tertiary intervention such as knife and gun crime crisis situations as well as working with partner agencies.

You will have robust frontline experience of working with young people, including experience in engaging, assessing, and delivering interventions designed to support young people to build personal resilience and move away from harm and violence. Our Individual Giving team sits within our successful, growing Income Generation directorate and consists of three programmes - Supporter Acquisition, Direct Dialogue and Supporter Retention and Development. As the Internal Communications Lead you will:

• Manage, update and monitor VS internal communication channels so that internal stakeholders (staff and volunteers) across England and Wales are informed of organisation news, successes and strategy and have a mechanism for feeding back.
• Produce, commission and edit copy adhering to all brand and style guidelines for email communications and intranet articles.
• Manage an engaging programme of webinars to update staff on new initiatives, training programmes and other key engagement activities.

• Advise colleagues on complex communication messages and to form part of the wider communication team response in a major incident or crisis situation.

• Experience of reporting on key internal communication metrics.
• Experience of editing of video content.
