Enfield Solace Advocacy and Support Service (SASS) is a crisis intervention service which provides advocacy and support to people aged 16+ in Enfield who are currently experiencing domestic abuse, with the aim to reduce risk and harm.  Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives free from abuse.

About the Role

As the Outreach and Engagement Lead for Enfield SASS, you would be working on an exciting new project to train and upskill local businesses to respond effectively to Violence Against Women and Girls. The focus would be on engaging businesses operating in the nighttime economy, to access Enfield Council training to support their staff to safeguard and respond to incidents or disclosures of gender-based violence in the local area. You would be working closely with Enfield Council and the Police to set up and run the 6-month project.

About You

You will need a passion for tackling VAWG and a thorough understanding of gender based violence and its impact on women and their children.

You will have excellent communication skills, in order to liaise and engage with businesses, stakeholders and Enfield Council. You will also have the ability to collate data and report on the project outcomes. You will be able to work autonomously and use initiative in the project management, with the support of the Service Manager and project steering group.

Purpose of the post

Working within the Legal, Trust and Ethics team, the PPIE Manager will play a crucial role in advancing HDR UK’s mission to build trust and confidence in health data research among patients, public, practitioners, and other key stakeholders. Central to this mission is the active involvement of patients and the public in shaping our work and decision-making processes, ensuring that their voices are integral to our efforts.

The successful candidate will support HDR UK’s Public Advisory Board and coordinate their collaboration with different teams across the Institute. In addition, they will support other advisory groups essential to delivering our PPIE strategy. They will also be willing to support activities and events led by PPIE colleagues and feel comfortable leading multiple projects at a pace in a complex organisation and interested in trialling, developing, and delivering innovative approaches to PPIE.

Reporting to the Head of Public Involvement and Engagement, the PPIE Manager will be instrumental in building partnerships with patients, public communities, and practitioners. The Organisation

The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. We are now seeking a Volunteer Officer to join our Programmes, Volunteering and Conservation Team on a full-time basis, working 36 hours per week, including minimum of 1 weekend per month.

The Role

As a Volunteer Officer, your main focus will be to manage volunteers to carry out important habitat management tasks at regular conservation group sessions and develop one-off flexible and weekend volunteering opportunities. You will also support on delivering our corporate ‘Park days’ sessions, as well as also working on the Hedgehog project in Regent’s Park. This role is varied and will see the successful applicant working primarily in the Regents Park and Greenwich Park, but with work across all of the parks when support is required. 

This role involves a lot of in park time, working with and supporting volunteers on the ground in physical conservation work. On average the Volunteer officer will spend 3-4 days each week in the parks delivering sessions.  The ideal applicant will be friendly, open, enjoy spending time outdoors and have experience working with and managing volunteers, in a hands-on conservation or park setting. 

You will champion volunteering best practice, inclusivity and diversity across the organisation, develop volunteer resources and ensure the appropriate support and training is in place for volunteers, partners and the staff who manage volunteers. 

Additionally, you will: 

• Work with the Volunteer and Programmes Manager to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate other volunteer projects and programmes 
• Write volunteer role descriptions, work plans, policies and robust risk assessments 
• Ensure appropriate and accurate data on volunteers and associated activities are recorded 
• Be aware of and always follow guidelines safeguarding of children and adults at risk.

About You 

To join us as a Volunteer Officer, you will need: 

• Proven experience of working with, managing, and training volunteers, especially conservation volunteers. With a strong knowledge of safe use and maintenance of all hand tools. 
• In depth knowledge and practical skills in conservation, park, or nature reserve management 
• Awareness of equality and diversity, health and safety and safeguarding 
• Excellent people skills including team working, negotiating, problem solving and the ability to be calm and decisive in challenging situations

Islington Centre for Refugees has been helping to integrate refugees since 1997.  We engage with our clients each day and are currently working in-person and online. We operate online every day and in-person from the Centre’s premises in Islington on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We create a community, teach English, provide a support service and a therapeutic and creative space with arts activities and sports that help people who have suffered trauma.  You will be working directly to deliver and teach a range of English Language Classes and Sessions and ensure that our English Teaching Session Leads are delivering quality sessions. About the role

SolarAid are looking for an individual with experience of fundraising who can proactively engage, build relationships and provide high levels of stewardship to a variety of supporters, alongside increasing awareness of our work.

You will play a vital role in driving all supporter activities, such as direct mail Supporter appeals, our regular giving programme and supporting community groups and individuals with their fundraising.
