Job description

Job Purpose

An exciting role to work within the project management team to manage the delivery of our operational plan, and the projects within, from kick off to close, working alongside various internal and external stakeholders. This job will focus on transformational change projects.

Project Management:

· To successfully deliver programmes and projects to time, to scope and to budget

· Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.

· Assess project issues and provide solutions or escalate where applicable.

· To use best practice risk management, assessing risks in an informed and considered manner and to plan for the mitigation of these risks.

· To be able to deliver projects on a day-to-day basis and take responsibility for their delivery using agile and other formal techniques as appropriate.

· To be able to work in a matrix management environment.

· To be able to manage and prioritise resources effectively across multiple projects.

· Ensure stakeholder views are managed and communicated towards the best solution.

· Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and assign actions to all project team members.

· Lead collaborative working and prioritising the work that needs to be completed against the capacity and capability of the teams.

· To be responsible to produce comprehensive project plans and documentation to enable the project(s) to be managed against a clear set of defined deliverables and milestones.

· To be able to manage resources and budgets effectively.

· Provide support and assistance in the promotion and adoption of Programme & Project Management best practices across the business.

Skills, experience & qualifications

· To have at least 2 years’ experience in Project Management.

· Project or Programme Management qualification (APM, PMI,MSP) and/or degree equivalent.

· Proven experience with managing and delivering project work.

· Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.

· Excellent organisational skills; the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise and meet deadlines.

· Experience with strategic management or change programmes.

· Experience of working with volunteers.

It would be desirable if you have knowledge experience and or qualifications within agile and sprint methodologies

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Hybrid 

Pay: Up to £33,000.00 per year
