We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser or a candidate with transferrable skills who is looking for their next challenge.
This fundraising role is varied and fun and may suit someone who has worked in fundraising for a few years and understands the diverse range of responsibilities that come with the role. You should be able to work well in a small team and be prepared to adapt cheerfully to changes and challenges that may crop up daily.
Your main area of responsibility will be for generating income by writing proposals to Trust and Foundations, working with service managers across the country to research and build compelling cases for support across the organisation.
We are looking for someone who can secure multi-year grants and core funding support through creating high value applications and also have the skills to research and fire off multiple applications to smaller trusts for small projects on a daily basis.
Experience in meeting fundraising targets would be useful but not essential. An important aspect of the role will be maintaining up to date reporting systems of approaches and successes and fulfilling grant obligations to funders.
As part of a small fundraising team and you will also work with your colleagues to further develop the Walk for Autism fundraising campaign and be instrumental in developing a high quality supporter journey using email, texts and social media. Developing digital fundraising is one of our main strategies so a willingness to learn new skills in this area is a key part of the role.
You will be required to work outside of office hours occasionally with some travel to services around the UK. It would be helpful to have a driving licence but it’s not essential. This position is subject to a Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) that will be met by Autism Initiatives.

We are looking for an Assistant Shop Manager to work alongside the Shop Manager in our Monton shop. Are you self motivated with strong interpersonal skills and thrive on challenges and opportunities that come with assisting in the running of a shop? Can you assist the Shop Manager in driving sales and profits and able to work closely with staff and Volunteers to ensure we deliver the best level of customer service.
We are looking for someone who loves working with people and has the ability to lead in the absence of the Shop Manager, inspire and empower people around them. We are looking for someone who is friendly and positive in their approach and can instil an energy to those around them. Have you got a creative ability that you can bring to the role?
You will make a real difference to young people in England by helping to raise vital funds needed to support our frontline work.
It is important that you have good communication skills both inside and outside the shop, reaching out to the local community to help build support for the shop.

This is an exciting new role to build upon the recognition of our achievements to date, by elevating the awareness of the Trust and our many partners. We expect that National Geographic will release their documentary in Autumn 2024 about Shackleton and the expedition organized by the Falklands Maritime Heritage Trust that found the wreck of Endurance in the Weddell Sea. This is likely to lead to heightened awareness of and interest in our work, which will appeal to applicants with a real interest in maritime heritage and, ideally, the Falkland Islands and/or the South Atlantic/Southern Ocean.
As COO you will serve as the first point of contact representing FMHT in, we envisage, an increasingly high-profile public manner. You will report to the Chair of Trustees, working collaboratively with the Trustees. You will also collaborate with a variety of charities, institutions and agencies, all with shared interests in our work.
We are seeking an energetic ‘all-rounder’ - a proven leadership professional who will roll their sleeves up and deliver. You will have outstanding communication and liaison skills, be skilful in raising funds and engaging sponsors together with sound financial and contract management experience. Drawing from your previous experience you will help to design, implement and deliver our operational and commercial objectives. Highly self-motivated, you will possess the vision, energy and drive to help create and to implement sustainable strategies for the Trust.
