The Development / Fundraising Consultant will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief of Staff to engage with new potential funders. We already have a development strategy and roster of leads. Your responsibility will be to identify additional potential funders, make introductions, help develop the right approach and request for each, facilitate growing relationships, and advise on the content of requests for funding.
We seek someone with substantial experience (at least ten years) and a positive track record (at least USD$1 million) in climate change philanthropy and/or climate change fundraising. Familiarity with the key players in the field, self-motivation, and strong communication skills are also essential. As an independent contractor, you will control the details of your work: where, when, and how. We are interested in results. We expect you to be available for a few conversations per week with our UK-based team and to occasionally meet potential funders in the appropriate locations, with travel expenses paid by the charity.

About the role:
Single Homeless Project's in house psychotherapy has secured further funding to provide psychotherapy/counselling and psycho-educational groups for young people (16-25 years old) who are using SHP's accommodation and support provision. The post provides a psychologically informed service to young people and the care teams who support them.
We are currently looking to recruit a young person's psychotherapist for 6 months maternity cover, who will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team offering in person interventions which are preventions focused rather than crisis management. This will include both individual psychotherapy and psychoeducation group work, which will be co-produced, informative and enlightening on bio-social-physiological responses to trauma; for example abusive relationships, racism and poverty.
It is highly likely this contract will be extended to 12 months after internal funding decisions have been made, this cannot be confirmed at this time but will be discussed further in interview with any shortlisted candidates. About you:
- Minimum one year's experience of providing psychotherapy/counselling young people.

The European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM) was established in 2000 and is a not-for-profit speciality college that oversees the training, examination and completion/maintenance of credential requirements of veterinarians who are equine internal medicine specialists, referred to as ECEIM Diplomates. Currently the college is run by a team of dedicated trustees and are eager to take the next step and create capacity for growth.
This is a brand new role and in which you will have the opportunity to shape and develop what a successful Chief Operating Officer looks like for this exciting and far reaching college. Your role will be to enable ECEIM to operate more effectively in order to facilitate the College’s growth, working with the board members to understand their vision, and work to enhance, develop and support on existing key processes and procedures that help the college to run effectively. About you:
You’ll bring both a practical and solutions based mindset as well as the ability to see the bigger picture in order to facilitate ECEIM’s longer term strategy. As this is a brand new role you will need to feel confident in the listening and learning phase as well as being able to see the improvements, recommend developments and create any next steps needed to support the ECEIM board and ultimately get the role off the ground.
You will have the chance to utilise your experience in both big picture thinking, as well as your ability to design and develop processes and ways of working that will help ECEIM to take the next steps.
Using your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills you’ll be able to foster positive relationships with volunteers, members and other professional bodies, including working directly with ECEIM’s key committees, helping them stay connected, informed and working as best as they can.
You will also bring a strong financial awareness and both ‘know how’ to action financial processes, working with the treasurer, but also to be able to spot when specialist skills may be needed to support you. Experience with data analysis and reporting is essential.
Whilst it is advantageous for you to have held a similar role before, a background in project or programme management, leading a department, operations management or financial management could bring the blend of key skills that will help you be successful in this role.
An understanding of academia and the importance of professionalism, credentials and high level qualifications is helpful and while an understanding the importance of ECEIM’s mission and animal welfare is essential, you don't need to have necessarily had any experience in the animal welfare sector.
What we can offer you:
Salary: circa £30,000 to £32,000 per annum, actual (circa £56,000 to £60,000 FTE). This would be reviewed on an annual basis.
Location: Remote role, working from home. UK based.
Hours of work: Your contracted hours are 20 hours per week. Exact working pattern can be discussed with the successful candidate. With a role at this level you may be expected to be flexible with that pattern at times, and as ECEIM’s remit is across Europe and beyond, you may also have the opportunity to travel with the role.
Pension: ECEIM will provide a pension contribution of 3% of salary; the employee will contribute a minimum of 5% of salary.

About ECEIM
The European College of Equine Internal Medicine (ECEIM) is a not-for-profit speciality college that oversees the training, examination and completion/maintenance of credential requirements of veterinarians who are equine internal medicine specialists.
The ECEIM was established in 2000 and in 2010 became a fully recognised member of the European Board of Veterinary Specialisation (EBVS), a regulatory Board of all European veterinary specialty colleges. Purpose of the role
You will be working with the Communications and Engagement team to promote CharityComms and what we offer, through the creation and development of effective and engaging content, and community and stakeholder engagement.

Social media management and community engagement
You will own the social media management of our channels, maximising their performance and supporting stakeholder engagement with our work. You will:

About the role
You’ll take responsibility for all company secretarial activities and related governance responsibilities, ensuring the charity and its subsidiaries fulfil their statutory and regulatory duties in relation to company and charity law and regulation.
You’ll provide leadership on governance matters and be a key support for the Chair, trustees, committee members, CEO, CFOO, and Executive Leadership Team, ensuring that the board and committees are run effectively and in accordance with the principles of the Charity Governance Code. You'll help to support an optimal working relationship between the executive and non-executive boards.
What you’ll do
- Manage the board and committee functions within the charity, including minutes and effective follow-up on decisions and matters arising and the library of board and committee materials
- Act as the primary liaison and provide sound advice and proactive support to, trustees, committee members, the Chief Executive and other members of the Executive Leadership Team on statutory, legislative and procedural matters relating to governance of the charity and the trading subsidiaries
- Ensure the charity fulfils its statutory and regulatory duties in relation to company and charity law and regulation, including filing of statutory returns
- Support the Executive Operations Team to ensure effective internal governance that is aligned to non-executive structures and timetables.
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience of Company Secretarial duties including managing and minuting board meetings (or equivalent) and providing support to trustees (or other non-execs) and directors
- A knowledge of good governance and experience of advising on statutory and regulatory duties in relation to charity and/or company law
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building abilities and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people at a senior and board level
- Ability to think logically and objectively and to analyse information in order to identify key issues/implications, make balanced judgments and effective decisions

The Data Quality Officer Role:
The purpose of the role is to lead on the data quality maintenance of the new DocuWare file management system. The system holds sensitive safeguarding information and plays a key role in our vetting and safeguarding processes.
The role will involve maintaining the compliance of the data held by manually reviewing, cleansing and updating the information held. It will also include exploring possible AI options for future maintenance.
Key responsibilities as our Data Quality Officer:
- To understand the requirements of safeguarding case management and our principles for retaining and deleting data
- To develop a robust process to implement the retention principles for the new database
- Work closely with the Information Governance Manager and Safeguarding Team to ensure data is maintained in an appropriate way
- To ensure compliance with Data Protection Legislation
- Be prepared to consider and implement possible AI solutions
- To keep accurate records of the project and present updates to senior personnel at regular intervals raising concerns appropriately.
What we are looking for in our Data Quality Officer:
- Aware of the sensetivities and importance of safeguarding cases and the information contained within them
- Ability to explain the key data protection and privacy concepts to nonexperts.
