As Individual Giving and Appeals Manager, you’ll deliver integrated fundraising campaigns across direct mail, email, and digital channels — helping us grow our individual giving base and strengthen donor loyalty.

The NAMAD project aims to enhance skills and labour market integration for migrant and host communities, and to strengthen protection support for vulnerable migrants, in Algeria, Egypt and Tunisia. Based on the needs in each country context, IOM’s targeted interventions will address specific barriers and gaps by offering a range of skills development training, and by providing tailored humanitarian and protection for migrants in vulnerable situations. This will include provision of shelter, case management, multi-purpose cash assistance to meet basic needs, medical support, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) and legal counselling.

About Us:

Strength & Learning Through Horses provides mental health and education support to some of London’s most vulnerable young people through offering equine assisted therapy and alternative education programmes. The organisation’s ability to deliver excellence in its service quality is dependent upon a skilled and competent workforce where learning and continuous improvement is a fundamental aim.

Strength & Learning Through Horses has been in operation for over 10 years and has grown year on year in terms of income and number of young people reached and number of services we offer.

We have 5 full time and 5 part time contracted staff members, 18 freelance staff members and work with 17 volunteers. 400 – 500 young people per year benefit from our life changing services; our hope is that this will increase to 700+ per year from 2027 once the building project at our site is complete. We have ambitious longer term plans for growth.

We have been operating in North London for over 10 years from a small stables, after our lease sadly came to an end in January 2023 we moved to our long term home. This was a derelict stables owned by the Council which we have secured via a 25 year lease. In 2022-23 we raised £300,000 to get the site usable as an equine therapy centre although it is still very run down with much of it boarded up an derelict. We now have full planning permission to develop the site and build a purpose built equine therapy centre which will allow us to double the number of young people who access the space.

About the Role:

To make this dream a reality we are looking for an experienced Capital Fundraising Manager to lead the Capital fundraising campaign for this project to raise £700,000 over 2 years in order to fund this build.

The hope is to raise £350,000 in year one in order to fund half of the build (stage 1) with the remaining funding being secured in the 2nd year to complete the build in year 2. We have a strong track record of fundraising including recently securing 5 years core costs funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and we have warm relationships that we can call on once this fundraising campaign gets activated.

• Manage fundraising pipeline and presenting a progress updates to the board if required
• Creating a relationship with one of our HNW funders who has connections with other HNW individuals and corporations
• The Equestrian Management Agency (who support us as their partner charity and are invested in making this fundraising campaign a success)

Job description

Job Purpose

To manage and develop the home from hospital settle service in the hospitals that you are responsible for, to support timely and successful patient discharges from hospital and prevent re-admissions.  You will work in collaboration with hospital teams and community teams to lead and manage your team to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users.  The service works with people for time limited support (usually up to 6 weeks) to adjust and settle back in their homes, and to prevent readmission into hospital. 

Key Tasks

• Work in partnership with the hospitals and other health and social care professionals to coordinate safe and timely discharges for referred clients.  This involves attending meetings with hospital personnel including Discharge Co-ordinators and Ward Managers to discuss discharges and plan who and how individuals will be supported as appropriate. 
• Manage a team working across two hospitals and ensuring the service is available between the contracted hours.
• Work collaboratively with other agencies providing support services.
• Conduct initial assessments of people referred to the services as necessary.
• Plan and develop person centred interventions to provide short term support for people after hospital discharge.
• Work with GPs as appropriate in identifying and supporting patients to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions.
• Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to preventing unnecessary admission to hospital.
• Support the hospitals with delayed transfer of care (DTOC).
• Coordinate and monitor the caseload of referrals allocated to team members to ensure a fair and manageable distribution of work.
• Rota planning to ensure staff flexibility and availability, enabling planned rosters that best suit both hospital and patient needs.
• Develop your team which includes; supervision, appraisal, planning of continued professional development opportunities and training needs.
• Conduct regular management audits to ensure a consistent way of working and identify development and training needs in the team or individual.
• Develop and deliver a flexible service that can respond to peaks and troughs in demand.
• Ensure the service is meeting key performance indicators, and identify any concerns e.g. demand for the service exceeding the levels in the contract and taking proactive action to address this.
• Monitor performance of the services against KPIs and produce reports to demonstrate performance.
• Deliver front-line services when needed, e.g. sickness or staff shortages.  This is by exception rather than you regularly doing support work.
• Manage the budget, sign-off expenses, and ensure the project is delivered to budget, liaising with the Finance Department as necessary.
• Support the directorate with generating funding e.g. being actively involved in consultation of possible projects, providing activity data, opportunity spotting, and/or supporting the production of tenders.
• On a rota basis, provide weekend on call cover for the services you manage, and other hospital settle services provided by AUKEL.

Administration

• Lead on contract reporting, this includes quarterly, annual and ad hoc reports as necessary.
• Carry out annual customer service surveys.
• Enable the impact of the service to be assessed and inform the improvement of other local services by keeping electronic records of all referrals and interventions, and producing reports on activity and outcomes, in accordance with KPIs.
• Meet and produce reports as required by the Head of Service.
• Ensure patient records are regularly updated through AUKEL database, and support staff to complete their administration via training etc.
• Work with the Communications team and the Head of Service, market and promote the service.
• Build and circulate a resource pack for the wider AUKEL team to generate referrals between services delivered by the charity.

Quality

• Be familiar with and implement AUKEL policies and procedures.
• Ensure the service is delivered in accordance with Care Quality Commission principles.

About the role

Our Hackney Parent Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and parenting courses for families throughout the Hackney region. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.

We are seeking a capable Peer Supporter who will support parents at Homerton Hospital and at various community settings in Hackney. This role will mainly be based between Homerton hospital and out in the community (expenses will be reimbursed).

You will be responsible for offering infant feeding support for parents within Homerton Hospital and the community. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Providing breastfeeding support to families on the wards at Homerton hospital and community settings within Hackney.
• Support in delivering inductions for volunteer peer supporters.
• To report any concerns or additional support needs of women to the NCT management team and/or Infant Feeding Lead for referral onto partner agencies as appropriate. 
• To attend regular supervision/support sessions.
• Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all support is accessible and inclusive.
• Ensure that data collection and feedback is collected in a timely manner in an inclusive way.

You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.

Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
 
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires experience of giving breast milk. The training can be undertaken within your working hours.

The role is 21 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This role is mainly based at Homerton Hospital and at community settings across Hackney.

Overview:

Homewards is a five-year, locally led programme, launched by Prince William and The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales in June 2023. The aim of Homewards is to demonstrate that together, it is possible to end homelessness – making it rare, brief, and unrepeated.

The Royal Foundation has selected six flagship locations across the UK and formed Coalitions of committed organisations and people from their public, private and voluntary sectors: Aberdeen, Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, Lambeth, Newport, Northern Ireland, and Sheffield.

 

Role Purpose:

The Royal Foundation is seeking an exceptional Project Analyst to play a vital role in shaping and delivering high impact strategic initiatives across Homewards’ priority thematic areas: homes; funding and finance; employment; and data. You’ll be at the heart of ensuring Homewards achieves lasting impact and shaping exciting and ground-breaking new partnerships.
 

Reporting into the Senior Project Manager and working closely with colleagues across the programme, the Project Analyst for Strategic Delivery is a key role as we deliver ambitious cross-location initiatives that prevent and end homelessness. You will be based within the core Homewards team but will work closely with other Foundation teams and external delivery partners.

The successful candidate will be passionate and driven to make a positive impact on the world, with a growth mindset and motivated and eager to learn. You’ll be enthusiastic to understand the ‘big picture’ on issues whilst working on progressing deliverables.
 

Key Accountabilities, but not limited to:

· Conduct interviews, desktop research and literary reviews on interventions across homelessness prevention (data, housing, finance and employment) to inform Homewards strategic initiatives

· Analyse quantitative and qualitative information to assess the effectiveness of initiatives and, where relevant, develop light touch Theory of Change frameworks to guide approaches

· Investigate international best practices for potential adaptation in Homewards locations

• Design/develop insight-based solutions in collaboration with the thematic leads and other expert partners

· Provide and present insights and recommendations through clear reports, presentations and briefings to the Homewards team, partners and wider Foundation as needed

• Build and maintain relationships with appropriate internal and external stakeholders, and support the day-to-day management of the stakeholder ecosystem

· Supporting the development of crucial partnerships for the programme and management of work being undertaken by external delivery partners

· Taking on responsibility for the successful delivery of data, research and analysis projects within the programme as required

· Working alongside with our Research & Impact Team to ensure our approach to developing strategic initiatives is linked to our evaluation and assessment of the wider programme

· Promoting a strong team ethos and collaborative ways of working both within the programme team and wider organisation

 

Relevant knowledge, experience and personal qualities

 

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience of developing insight-based solutions in collaboration with others (essential)

· Proven ability to mine and collect, interpret and present qualitative and quantitative insights (essential)

· Proven ability to summarise findings into written reports, presentations and charts, communicating insights in a clear and accessible way (essential)

· Familiarity with database management and how to organise and prepare data for analysis, ensuring data quality and integrity (essential)

· Experience of using data to inform decision-making, ideally programme or initiative design (essential)

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing a range of priorities and your own workload (essential)

· Confidence engaging, and building relationships, with multiple partners to build partnerships or create insights (essential), ideally you’ll be comfortable working with organisations from across all sectors

· Comfortable operating across the thematic areas of predictive data analytics, finance, housing and employment, ideally with experience in one of those areas and desire to deepen your knowledge (desirable)

· Familiarity with Theory of Change, Social Return on Investment and other relevant evaluation frameworks in the social impact space (desirable)

· Understanding of the drivers, players and role of prevention in societal challenges like homelessness, ideally with some experience around homelessness or relevant area (desirable)

Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have previous experience of delivering fundraising activities or alternatively previous experience of events management and marketing. With excellent project management skills, you will be able to deliver on marketing projects ensuring quality of output and under budgets and agreed timescales. You will be comfortable in using data sets and CRM systems as well as developing strong relationships with donors and prospects. Galop, the UK’s LGBT anti-abuse charity, is seeking an Individual Giving Manager to join our Fundraising & Comms team.
 
Founded in 1982, Galop works directly with thousands of LGBT people who have experienced abuse and violence every year. We specialise in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, and other forms of abuse including honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and so-called conversion therapies. We are a service run by LGBT people, for LGBT people, and the needs of our community are at the centre of what we do.
 
We run a National Abuse & Violence Helpline, which brings together our four national support helplines for LGBT victims and survivors of: domestic abuse; hate crime; rape and sexual abuse; and so-called “conversion therapy”.
 
We provide longer-term support to thousands of LGBT victims and survivors of abuse through our advocacy and therapeutic services. We are person-centred, empowerment-based, and trauma-informed – meaning our focus is always on helping our clients decide what is best for them, and then supporting them through their journey.
 
We use what we learn through working on the frontlines with clients to work on national and local policy change, to improve outcomes for LGBT victims and survivors of abuse and violence. We push for legislative change, improved statutory guidance for victims, and better understanding of the needs of LGBT people around the country.
 
About the Individual Giving Manager role
 
We began investing in Individual Giving in October 2023, with some key foundation building and early fundraising activity having taken place since then. This role aims to develop and secure a diverse range of funding streams in order to deliver our ambitious fundraising growth plans over the next 3 years.
 
In this role, you’ll work with our Head of Fundraising and Comms to grow our income from individuals, to ensure the long-term stability of the charity, helping us to deliver support to as many LGBT victims and survivors of abuse as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to grow a programme with a compelling cause, and is ideal for a fundraiser looking to run a career-defining programme.
