Action Village India (AVI) is a small UK based organisation that since 1989, has been supporting Indian partner organisations who work alongside villagers in some of the most remote parts of rural India so they can improve their lives, livelihoods and resilience. JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Fundraising and Partnerships Manager

Job Purpose: To develop fundraising proposals and raise funds from trusts and foundations. To raise funds for Action Village India through our trading activities and events.

Reports to: Executive Director

Salary: £30,000 pro rata

Hours:21 hours per week (equivalent to 3 working days) – ideally including Wednesday and Thursday.

By agreement there is an option to work an additional 11 events days over the full year. This is related to WOMAD and our other events. This is revised annually based on the agreed workplan.

Contract: Permanent, pending a successful 6-month probationary period

FUNDRAISING

1.1 Fundraising Management and Donor Liaison:

• In line with Action Village India’s project funding priorities, research and develop fundraising proposals for new and ongoing projects to be submitted to major donors, trusts and foundations as well as other appropriate sources.
• Keep up to date spreadsheets and databases tracking donor deadlines, the status of applications and reporting deadlines.
• Ensure that material from partners for monitoring reports is developed as needed and work to ensure that reports are submitted as required and to agreed deadlines.
• Support the Executive Director with fundraising and reporting to individuals and trusts.

1.2Events

• Plan and manage, in collaboration with the Action Village India team, the events for the year
• Attend Action Village India fundraising events (evenings and weekends as agreed with the team)
• Attend WOMAD festival and support the Action Village India team with the successful running of the Action Village India stall and presence at the festival.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

EXPERIENCE

• Ideal minimum of three years proven experience in fundraising from trusts and foundations, events and individual giving.
• Proven experience in writing project proposals and reports for funders.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Vocation Communications and Marketing Officer role is part of the National Communication Teams which sits with the National Development.

Your major responsibility is to engage, inspire, and influence all sectors of the Church to foster a vocational culture in which all persons, regardless of age or background, are encouraged and assisted in considering the entire variety of ministerial vocations for themselves and others.

You will mainly be responsible for:

1. Developing, delivering and leading a marketing, communications and engagement strategy; this requires the post holder to have excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with all stakeholders at a national, diocesan and local level clearly and concisely
2. You will work with stakeholders and communicate as widely as possible the ministerial needs of the church and a plethora of opportunities to discern, learn, grow and serve.

Join a small commercial team with big ambitions for the public library sector. We are seeking a Commercial Manager to help us realise our plans to secure a menu of commercial contracts that all of our 175+ member library services can choose to benefit from, according to the skills and assets of their service, their focus and strategy and of course the needs of their communities.

Our Commercial Team

Currently we hold a single commercial contract worth around £3m per year delivered through 12 libraries. Our aim is to reach a point where we have a menu of commercial contracts that all of our 175+ member library services can choose to benefit from according to the skills and assets of their service, their focus and strategy and of course the needs of their communities.

In the current funding climate for local authorities and local government services, these contracts are not just about the income and the services they can provide, but about demonstrating nationally the power of the library sector, and how national services can be delivered locally through library services and the communities they serve.

This is a long term aim of ours – we are seeking to build the commercial team with this role and while it is initially a 12 month contract, our hope is that with the role in place we can generate the income to sustain and build on it.

Main purpose of role:

• Support the delivery of commercial projects across the library sector
• Lead the bidding process for new commercial projects
• Manage the mobilisation and setup of contracts and services
• Manage the ongoing delivery of commercial contracts and services including management reporting and contract / service optimisation to increase benefit to the libraries and sector

We are seeking a dynamic individual with workforce development experience to lead on our workforce development strategy and associated projects. In this role, you will support our network of public library leaders and contribute to the Futures Hub, a new initiative aimed at generating evidence to help public libraries meet the challenges of the coming decade.

Strength & Stem is a charity that uses floristry to help female modern slavery survivors experience restoration and empowerment. ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Finance Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health of the organisation. As the sole end-to-end finance position within Strength & Stem, the Finance Manager will be responsible for all financial activities, including bookkeeping, budgeting, financial reporting, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the charity's mission.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Financial Management:

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Casework Coordinator to deliver support services to people seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression or sex characteristics.

Rainbow Migration has been supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and campaigning for their rights since 1993. We now have an opportunity for a Casework Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in helping women seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation improve their ability and resilience to cope with the challenges they face and build support networks.

This role will receive full training and support as required to deliver your responsibilities, including:

· Facilitating regular support group meetings of women who are seeking asylum on the basis of their sexual orientation

· Providing one-to-one emotional and practical support primarily to LBTQI+ women who are seeking asylum

1 SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1         Office Management

• Oversee the day to day running of the office, including communication with enquirers and supporters.
• Ensure office is compliant with Health and Safety requirements. Ensure compliance with data protection requirements.

• Uploading information on Action Village India’s website.

East London Apartments provides 24-hour accommodation-based support for up to 31 individuals with complex histories, multiple traumas, complex personality disorder(s) and a varied, disrupted housing history with experience of homelessness.

East London Apartments implements and promotes the Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE) model. This is an approach to supporting people out of homelessness, in particular those who have experienced complex trauma or are diagnosed with a personality disorder. It also considers the psychological needs of staff: developing skills and knowledge, increasing motivation, job satisfaction and resilience.

Working with individuals with complex needs, who may display challenging, chaotic behaviours, regularly test boundaries and have experienced multiple traumas as a result of abuse, neglect and years of street homelessness, it is integral that the post holder is motivated to support individuals to progress. They should continually hold aspirations for individuals despite multiple setbacks, and display emotional resilience, able to process challenging incidents and remain motivated to deliver excellent support.

The successful applicant will have experience working closely with a range of services to support individuals to address and/or recover from their dependence on drugs and or alcohol. You will have excellent knowledge of harm reduction techniques and various treatment approaches for addiction and be confident in the use of these approaches. These should include but are not limited to medication treatment, behavioural counselling and relapse prevention. You will also provide information, social inclusion and vocational opportunities to support people to recover and stay well; exercise choice and control in their care and lives; and participate on an equal footing in the community. We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Senior Support Worker to join our Mental Health service in Waltham Forest.

Specific details about the service and team. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be expected to undertake duties as part of the management team which include supporting the team with their responsibilities whilst working flexibly to respond to the needs of applicants referred to the project from our local authority. This role will require either an extra dimension of experience or have/be working towards a higher qualification level in order to meet the role specific competences for this position.

What you'll do:

Post-holders will be required to demonstrate strengths in all the indicators set out in the relevant Look Ahead Management Competency Model. More specifically, the post-holder will:
* Work proactively with the team to handle the service caseload and support an effective tea approach to meeting with each customer's identified needs.
* Motivate the team and champion a positive culture within the service.
* Attend and participate in team meetings and Management meetings.
* Competent use of relevant systems, company policies and frameworks.
* Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care & Support plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements.
* Carry out other duties commensurate with the designated role level, as may be deemed reasonable by Look Ahead including working at an alternative patch, if such a need arises.

What you'll bring:

Essential:
- Has relevant sector work experience .
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent

Desirable:
- Other relevant professional memberships and/or specialist qualifications.
- Demonstrable experience of supporting vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities
