This is a key role within the Engagement Directorate at Blind Veterans UK as we are working through a new strategy which ensures we become data and insight led and put our audiences at the centre of all our communication. This presents an excellent opportunity for you to help revolutionise how Blind Veterans UK conducts data selections and to play a key role in producing actionable insights as we seek to increase the sophistication of our marketing activity and deliver an excellent supporter experience.
You will be responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of complex database extracts from Raiser’s Edge using FastStats, ensuring all data selections are delivered to a high standard for communications to Blind Veteran UK supporters. This includes ensuring data selections are scheduled, developed, tested and checked, and delivered in accordance with the agreed brief and deadlines. The critical element to this role is developing a campaign planning process that embeds a test and learn culture and drives innovation and improvement in our communications.
You will work with the Insight Manager and wider Engagement (fundraising and Comms & Marketing) Team to implement journeys and automations to improve second gift rates and drive sustainable income.
As well as leading on data selections, you will manage the insight planning and request project boards, working with the Insight Manager to respond to both ad-hoc insight requests and longer term insight projects.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role - what you'll be doing:
- Lead on data selections. Responsible for ensuring all data selections are produced in an accurate, consistent and timely fashion, in accordance with agreed data selection briefs and deadlines.
- Manage the scheduling of delivering data selections to ensure there is clarity on what data selections are upcoming, to manage any potential clashes and to plan and prioritise the workload.
- Develop an excellent process and structure for delivering data selections that guarantees their consistency and accuracy.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure data selection briefs are completed correctly, definitions are clarified, and the final selection meets the criteria outlined in the brief.
- Work with the Insight Manager to identify insight-driven recommendations for campaign planning, and to ensure testing within data selections is valid and robust.
- Attend end of campaign meetings, and lead on the presentation of results and test outcomes and feedback on process improvements.
- Work with the Insight Manager to drive forward innovations in data selections, such as using propensity models to identify the right supporters to communicate with.
- Continually seek to improve the data selection process with the aim of automating and streamlining to improve the accuracy of selections.
- Lead on the implementation of a campaign planning process focussed on driving improvement in selection results through data-informed decision-making.
- Play a leading role in the planning of the calendar to manage communication activities.
- Work with the Insight Manager and Data Management functions to ensure the necessary data is being captured and is accurate, to enable campaign analysis to be conducted.
- Work with 3rd parties to ensure the timely and secure transfer of data selection files.
- Build and monitor supporter journeys for all data cohorts, improving the process based on findings.
- Send email communications, including testing and implementation of dynamic content.
- Manage the insight request project boards, assist in responding to ad-hoc insight requests and work with the Insight Manager on larger insight projects.

We are looking for a dedicated Counselling Team Leader to join our Eye Care Support Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, time-limited counselling and emotional support over the telephone and online. You will also lead and manage a team of counsellors and volunteer counsellors, ensuring they deliver exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide telephone and online counselling to clients affected by sight loss, adhering to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework.
- Manage and support Sight Loss Team Counsellors, including recruitment and line management.
- Offer accurate and accessible information to clients about available services, empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Develop and improve the range and quality of information regarding emotional support and counselling services.
- Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring referral waiting times are well managed.
- Develop links with other professionals and respond to enquiries about emotional support services.
- Lead the development and support of our volunteer counsellors, including recruitment and regular support.
- Deliver training and workshops to other professionals.
- Participate in service development, monitoring, and evaluation.
Qualifications Required:
- A recognised 3-year Diploma level Counselling qualification or equivalent.
- Registration on a PSA recognised register. Membership of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adherence to its Ethical Framework for Good Practice or equivalent with another recognised professional body.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Knowledge of a range of counselling approaches and types of service.
- Experience in delivering effective telephone and online counselling within a time-limited framework.
- Experience in managing counsellors and volunteer counsellors within an organisational setting.
- Experience in maintaining information systems that provide relevant and accurate information.

Programme Coordinator
We are recruiting for a Programme Coordinator, who will support the delivery of the Maternity Neonatal Voices Partnership project.
Position: Programme Coordinator (Maternity Voices Partnership)
Location: Remote/covering Birmingham and Solihull
Hours: Full time role covering 2 MNVP areas (BSOL) or 2 part time roles of 18.5 hours each available
Contract: Fixed term contract until 30th June 2026
Salary: £26,272 per annum pro rata

The Role
The organisation is responsible for delivery of MNVPs for both Birmingham and Solihull ICB. Travelling is required to engage and meet with service user reps, leads and relevant stakeholders. Part time applicants will be assigned specific trust to work within (again travel will be required within the specified area). Some level of cover will also be required across the 2 areas in cases of absence, annual leave etc.
This is a fixed term role which will involve supervision and line management of a team of volunteers, leads and delivery of the MNVP forums and associated activities as well as supporting the administration of the contract.
Main activities within the role include:
• Recruitment of MNVP members and volunteers
• Build strong working relationships with commissioners, partners and local parents and families
• Ensure parent and families views are fed back in a clear, understandable matter to commissioners
• Production of a range of reports including data to senior managers and commissioners
• Active use of Social Media to engage with service users and partners including managing meetings via these channels
• Coproduction of communications with Local Maternity Neonatal Systems ensuring service users views are listened to and included in actions
• Attendance at a range of meetings with stakeholders and partners
• Active engagement with other MNVP Forums across the country including through the use of social media
About You
You must have the natural ability to build effective relationships, be approachable and have an outgoing personality as well as being IT literate and a good communicator at all levels. Experience of working with midwifery services is helpful as is knowledge of MNVP priorities and aims.
Applicants for this post must be willing to work flexible hours based around the needs of the service and travel to a range of locations across Birmingham and Solihull. This role does have elements of remote
working.

The Training Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of our training services. You’ll work closely with the Training Manager and the wider team undertaking a variety of administrative activities associated with training, with an emphasis on administration for private courses and our learning management system. Key Responsibilities:
This is a brand-new role where you will be responsible for leading the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the CRM's strategic direction, ensuring it meets business needs, and managing its development and implementation. Your role will involve:
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to Define and drive the CRM roadmap in alignment with the MND Association strategy and objectives.
- Managing the product backlog and prioritising development needs.
- Acting as a key link between business teams, technology teams, and external partners, ensuring clear documentation, communication and understanding of requirements and expectations.
- Leading the delivery of new CRM functionalities, product enhancements, customisations and integrations.
- Work with Technology teams to support skills development in managing and maintaining CRM Platforms and Power Platforms.
