The Barnsley Street Project is a pilot service funded by NHS money following a bid by East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). The service comprises of Look Ahead staff, ELFT staff, and Tower Hamlets Mental Health VCSE Alliance, formed of 17 local VCSE organisations. The Barnsley Street Project operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support for people in the catchment area of one primary care network in Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets. It provides a variety of psychosocial and clinical interventions, including the provision of 6 Hospitality Beds for short term support and intervention.

Support Workers within the Barnsley Street Project will be expected to support individuals requiring support from the local community that walk in to the service and those staying in our hospitality beds. This support may include providing tailored and co-produced practical, emotional, trauma-informed support to individuals with a variety of challenges relating to their mental health. This may include the management of symptoms, social support, navigating benefits and welfare systems, practical skills and signposting to specialist services in the local authority for intensive or specific support as required.

What you'll do:

• Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
• Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
• Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve individual goals
• Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
• Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support customers to independent living e.g. budgeting, cooking, establishing a night time routine
• Supporting customers to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene

About the Role:

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, providing individual safety planning, trauma-informed support, guidance, information, and advocacy and enabling victim/survivors to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse and trauma they have experienced.

You may work within a Hospital Trust's Safeguarding Team to support both patients and staff in an Acute Hospital setting, who have experienced Domestic Abuse. You will make initial contact with victims of domestic abuse, explaining our services and assessing the impact of crime, or receive referrals from colleagues, in order to provide on-going support and case management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess risks and needs using evidence-based checklists.
• Focus on high-risk cases with short to medium-term crisis intervention.
• Assist high-risk victims in accessing safety services.

The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. 

The Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser will be joining Pepper at an exciting time as we launch our new three-year fundraising strategy. Backed by committed investment and with full Board approval, we are delighted to be growing the charity to deliver sustainable income that directly supports local children and families with hospice care in the comfort of their own homes.

Working closely with the Head of Trusts & Foundations, you will play a pivotal role in increasing income from trusts and foundations by developing and managing a strong pipeline of funders, securing new grants, and building long-term relationships that lead to increased and multi-year support. You will research and prepare compelling applications to both new and existing funders, alongside producing timely, engaging reports that clearly demonstrate impact.

This role requires a highly organised and motivated individual with a passion for writing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional cultivation, stewardship and relationship management of trusts and foundations aligned with our mission.

Your work will directly support hospice at home care, specialist play services, and meaningful family days out for children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions – making a tangible difference to families during the most difficult of times.

About Bond and the role 

Bond is the UK network for organisations working in international development. We unite and support a diverse network of over 400 civil society organisations to help eradicate global poverty, inequality and injustice. We strengthen and champion the sector to make international development more efficient and effective. We work to influence governments and policy-makers, develop the skills of people in the sector, share expertise, and build organisational capacity and partnerships. 

BAWG is the Bond Afghan Working Group which represents approx. 30 charitable organisations based in the UK and Ireland, with a focus on Afghanistan. BAWG’s members are involved in the delivery of humanitarian & development aid, through colleagues, teams and local providers throughout Afghanistan.

BAWG’s focus is advocacy and comms with key stakeholders in the UK, who are primarily MPs, parliamentarians and select media. Members of BAWG meet online once a fortnight; the group has a Steering Committee, which is accountable to its members and has recently embarked on a new strategic direction. 

We are now looking for a Coordinator who will ensure both the smooth day-to-day running of BAWG and also play a pivotal role in the next steps in delivering our strategy. The role, funded from membership fees and donations, is BAWG’s only salaried post, and will ensure the board meets its commitments to members, and reports effectively into Bond. For the right candidate, it offers a real opportunity to play an active and important role in BAWG’s development. 

Main purpose of the job 

This is a new role at an important time; government funding is under extreme pressure and the geo-political backdrop is increasingly tumultuous, while Afghanistan continues to be one of world’s most fragile and challenging contexts. BAWG’s focus and objectives require careful coordination, so we are in search of a skilful professional who will be equally comfortable to perform admin duties, but also embrace the possibilities of a passionate network of individuals and organisations.

• We need someone who will be able to establish and maintain appropriate administrative routines, contribute to long-term sustainability of the group and take responsibility for overseeing membership, fundraising and coordination of communication with key stakeholders. 

• The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of the context and some demonstrable passion for the key issues facing organisations working in Afghanistan. 

• A key aspect of the role will be to maintain relationships with key government departments and contacts, so experience in similar role is desirable. The key skills and competencies include Stakeholder management, organisational and influencing.

A Day in the Life 

A day in the life of the adviser is likely to be very varied. Built around a fortnightly meeting with the group, the adviser will act as a focus for sharing intelligence and information coming out of the group, and ensuring that all members are well informed. At the same time, the adviser might equally be working with members of Bond’s media team, looking at opportunities to bring focus and attention on issues relating to Afghanistan through opinion pieces commissioned from key thinkers. Or it might be an event in Parliament, building consensus and support with MPs, looking at opportunities to bring key issues to light. And, of course, you will be part of Bond’s wider membership team, and exploring ways of working together, looking at how we attract new members into the group will be part of the role. It’s an ideal role for someone who likes to dive into different areas of activity at the same time, but also to bring their own ideas about networking and engagement to the wider team.

• The fortnightly BAWG group (currently 27 members) Managing the agenda, agreeing minutes and action points where relevant with BAWG Board, always ensuring confidentiality is maintained 

• Managing and coordination of working groups, and meetings with wider group of stakeholders 

• Develop and manage good working relationships with BOND, maintaining BAWG’s presence on and contribution to the BOND platform and liaising with contacts at BOND to ensure a good working relationship. 

• Maintain records of all group members and establish effective approach to the sharing of documents and flow of information 

• Work with the BAWG Board and wider group of members to develop current membership and explore ways of augmenting BAWG’s reserves including fundraising, membership drive and event planning

• Overseeing and supporting the design and implementation of BAWG’s strategic annual plan

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an operations professional who shares EJF’s commitment to environmental justice and is ready to take on real responsibility across a fast-growing global non-profit organisation.

As Operations Officer, you will play a hands-on role in keeping EJF's international operations running smoothly across 16 countries on four continents, with a particular focus on our five European offices.

Your remit will be broad. Artswork is looking for a Data Protection & Impact Manager to lead Artswork’s approach to data so we operate safely and legally, and so that data informs every area of our work, shapes our planning, and enables us to demonstrate the impact of our programmes. This role works closely with the Evaluation & Impact Manager, and focuses specifically on data protection, data analysis and data reporting e.g. to funders. 

We are looking for someone to lead on data analysis and data protection within Artswork, embedding a data-led approach to our work. Working closely with the (part-time) Evaluation & Impact Manager, you will not only provide expertise in data generation across the organisation but also insightful analysis of the data to feed into the organisation’s strategic decision-making. You’ll be skilled in using tools that enable us to aggregate, manipulate and visualise data. You’ll be able to generate reports at different levels, from overviews to granular detail, and you’ll be willing and able to do accurate, capable data entry when needed (for example onto funders’ reporting platforms). You’ll liaise with other teams around their data requirements, particularly the Co-CEOs, Fundraising and Sales & Marketing. You’ll also lead on Data Protection for the organisation, training team members, generating ​‘how to’ guides for colleagues and ensuring that our data protection policies and procedures are updated and compliant with current legislation. 

Main Responsibilities:

Strategy 

• Embed a data-led approach across Artswork, ensuring data is used to inform organisational planning, prioritisation and decision-making. 
• Collaborate with the Evaluation & Impact Manager to align data generation, evaluation activity and reporting cycles, ensuring coherence across programmes. 
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve organisational data systems, tools and processes so that they are fit for purpose, efficient and scalable. 
• Provide insight and recommendations based on analysis, highlighting trends, opportunities, risks and areas for improvement in our work directly with children and young people.

Data analysis and treatment 

• Lead on organisation-wide data aggregation and analysis, ensuring accurate interpretation of programme, audience/participant and organisational data. 
• Collaborate with the Evaluation & Impact Manager to support the design and improvement of data collection methods (e.g. surveys, forms and CRM processes), ensuring data is robust, consistent and useful. 
• Clean, validate and audit datasets to maintain high data quality, including addressing gaps, duplicates and errors. 
• Maintain and improve data structures (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM exports, dashboards), enabling analysis at overview and granular levels. 
• Use appropriate tools to analyse and visualise data efficiently (e.g., Excel/Power Query, Power BI, dashboards), and document processes to support consistency and continuity. 
• Carry out accurate data entry when required, including into funder platforms and monitoring systems. 
• Liaise with colleagues across teams (particularly Co-CEOs, Fundraising and Sales & Marketing) to understand their data needs and provide analysis in usable formats. 

Impact reporting 

• Collaborate with the Evaluation & Impact Manager to produce clear, accurate and timely reporting for internal and external audiences, working together to translate data into insight and narrative. 
• Support consistent reporting cycles (quarterly/annual as required), including monitoring returns and KPI reporting. 
• Contribute data and insight to funder reporting, including accurate entry onto funders’ platforms and the production of supporting evidence. 
• Generate reports at different levels (headline dashboards through to detailed breakdowns) to support operational planning and strategic decisions. 
• Work with Fundraising and Sales & Marketing to align impact evidence with funding priorities and communications needs, providing statistics, summaries and insights. 

Data Protection compliance 

• Lead on Data Protection for the organisation, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies and procedures. 
• Maintain, implement and regularly review data protection policies, procedures and guidance, ensuring they are practical and compliant. 
• Train and onboard staff on data protection requirements, creating accessible ‘how to’ guidance and providing ongoing support to colleagues. 
• Support and advise on appropriate data handling, including lawful bases, consent, retention, deletion and secure storage.
• Work with the Finance & Operations team and external IT provider to review and implement new data security requirements, including mapping software use and implementing new data protection controls. 
• Review data protection clauses and data sharing agreements for organisational contracts with third parties especially in relation to tenders and new business. 
• Manage subject access requests, data protection breaches, internal investigation & documenting, external responses and organisational learning. 
• Liaise with teams to ensure their data practices (including fundraising and communications activity) meet legal and regulatory requirements. 

Administration and Legal compliance  

• Maintain positive professional relationships with our participants, partners and stakeholders.  
• Adhere to Artswork’s values and its policies and procedures, i.e. Equalities, Health and Safety, Data Protection, Safeguarding and Environmental policies.   
• Be a committed champion for Artswork’s Anti-Discrimination Charter.   
• Maintain and develop personal skills and knowledge through appropriate training.  
• Perform own administrative duties.

Position Overview 

Our client is an international dispute resolution centre with over 35 years' experience helping organisations resolve commercial and workplace conflicts. As Finance Manager, you'll lead daily transactional finance activities, oversee team supervision, and support the Head of Finance in delivering accurate financial reporting and strategic initiatives that underpin the organisation's continued growth. They are part-company, part-charity.

The position is offered on a full-time permanent basis, with hybrid working available. The expectation is that you will be office based for 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities 

· Lead daily transactional finance activities with timely, accurate ledger entries

· Oversee bank clearing and reconciliation of bank, cash, petty cash balances

· Manage monthly payment runs and customer receipt allocation processes

· Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliation and foreign exchange revaluation

· Maintain and control the fixed asset register and chart of accounts

· Support payroll processing and prepare draft VAT returns

About the role

As an experienced health, research and public policy leader, you will lead our policy, campaigning and NHS improvement professionals, both within their teams and across the devolved nations teams to build Parkinson’s UK’s reputation as a trusted, expert and determined partner and advocate for people affected by Parkinson’s.

You’ll oversee an annual budget of around £4 million, and a team of 45 people.
