Age UK's Finance Team are offering a 12 month fixed-term contract for a Senior Management Accountant - Charity. This role will support the Financial Planning & Analysis team in providing high quality financial planning, reporting and analysis to the Charity divisions within Age UK.

This includes not only delivering accurate numbers, but the development of reporting, reviewing performance, providing insight and commentary and support on budgeting and forecasting.

Must haves:

• Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA (or equivalent experience)
• Experience of working to deadlines within a finance department
• Experience of double entry bookkeeping and account reconciliations.
• Experience of completing financial analysis, including low complexity financial modelling
• Experience in providing a service to an internal customer, working in collaboration with others to reach common goals
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills (Lookups, Pivot Tables & Formulae)
• High level of numeracy and accuracy, attention to detail
• Aptitude for picking up new IT systems
• Excellent time management skills, ability to manage own workload and to meet deadlines.

• Previous experience of working in a Charity and fund accounting is advantageous but not essential.

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.

Our vision is a London where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.

We rescue surplus food from businesses, supermarkets, restaurants and farms. This food is nutritious, in-date, and safe and includes a high proportion of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. If we did not rescue this food, it would be at risk of going to waste. Instead, we deliver it free of charge to London charities, schools, food banks, COVID food hubs and other organisations serving people in need. Purpose of the Job

The main purpose of the role is to identify and secure new surplus food supply and develop long-term supply partnerships while growing the relationships we hold with existing suppliers. You will play a big part in ensuring that the charity is successful in achieving its objective to rescue and secure a growing supply of surplus food that will take us to our ambitious future meal targets.

As Welfare Officer, you will:

- Be a first point of contact for people in financial need, providing income maximisation and signposting to internal and external information and support resources as appropriate.  
- Work with the Trust’s Welfare & Rights Advisor to capture and analyse the reach and impact of our benefits advice service, gathering data and testimonials and creating and sharing reports. 
- Provide one-to-one income maximisation to clients via phone, email and video calls
- Work as part of a small team providing holistic support to the CF community in the UK.
- Deliver a specialist student support service – providing information to people with cystic fibrosis entering further or higher education about their rights and the financial and practical support they can access – training can be provided for this aspect of the role. 

The ideal candidate will bring experience of delivering income maximisation, either in a paid or voluntary capacity, and an empathetic, non-judgmental and empowering approach.

The role:
The Programme Manager will lead on all Programme Management activities to support the organisation’s work developing and delivering the Accelerating Reform Fund programe. The person:
The successful candidate will have substantial demonstrated experience of Project Management ideally in the Health and Social Care or Social Change Sectors. This person could also have been a social worker with experience of having run development projects. They will have knowledge of the Social Care Act and will be familiar with digital change, commissioning, co-production and communicating with local authority audiences, and will be able to partner effectively with decision makers and senior stakeholders in the Social Care sector. The role

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £48,000 – £55,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

An opportunity to provides practical, emotional, and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease.
You will engage with kidney patients, their families, and carers as a source of information, support, and advocacy, in order to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for patients.

This may be in the hospital or other care setting, on the phone, online or face-to-face in a mutually acceptable public place.
The role will cover (as part of a team) some of the main renal unit and satellite dialysis units across Dundee, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Lothian, Borders & Lanarkshire, and regular travel and attendance is expected to some sites.

• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Patient Support & Advocacy Service in the region so patients, their families, carers and professionals to access independent support on social, financial, health advocacy and wellbeing

Purpose of the role

Twins Trust is at the heart of the multiples’ community, supporting families with twins or triplets, influencing the healthcare system and campaigning on behalf of our community.

Sadly, multiple pregnancies are high risk and part of our work is to support multiple birth families where one or more babies or children have died. This role will involve the day to day running of our Bereavement Service, which supports those families.

Over the past 12 months we have overhauled our bereavement service and developed a new strategy and we are looking for someone who can now implement our new objectives

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual who wants to support our bereaved community. We are looking for someone who has an understanding of grief and baby loss and who can provide empathetic support and guidance to families who have lost one or more of their babies.

We are looking for someone who will push forward with our new strategy and to continue to grow and manage our peer- to-peer support service by recruiting volunteers and running an organised and effective volunteer led service.

The ideal candidate will continue to develop our bereavement service and make it as impactful as possible by raising the profile of the service, establishing networks with other charities, growing the microsite and engaging with our bereaved community in a supportive and professional manner.

Location: Hybrid/remote. Office space in London Bridge and Woking, although entirely remote option is fine.

Would you like to be part of an exciting collaboration that aims to empower young women and girls aged 16–25 years, helping them to build their confidence and self-esteem?

Woman’s Trust are part of the Maia & Lift project, funded by the London Violence and Reduction Unit to do just that. Join us to provide therapeutic and mental health support to young women and girls, helping to improve the support that is out there for them.

We are looking for a Young Women & Girls Groupworker to deliver psycho-educational workshops to young women and girls, including engagement with service users prior to and, at times, following the workshops and providing information and support to enable increased engagement in the project. You will also offer a short-term counselling service for clients on the Woman’s Trust counselling waiting list following a person-centred approach, as well as the provision of some initial assessments.

This is a part-time (21 hours per week), fixed-term contract for 18 months starting from September 2024, subject to availability of funding and review.

About the HR Business Partner Role:

The role acts as the key point of contact for managers and staff on all employment issues. It is responsible for a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations matters, administration of our salaries policy and liaison with Payroll, advising on terms and condition of employment, maintenance of accurate HR records system, the provision of reports, updating policies and procedures, issuing amendments to contracts and supporting our work in relation to health, safety and welfare.

As the HR Business Partner you will have:

• Experience in a broad range of HR advisory and administrative work
• Experience of maintaining an HRIS and reporting from it
• Experience in issuing contracts of employments, amendments and ending fixed term contracts
• Good working knowledge of employment law and best HR practice and how to apply it
• Line management experience
• Extensive knowledge of general HR administrative systems and processes
• CIPD qualified or working towards the qualification
• Ability to provide a high quality professional HR advisory service and gain respect from managers and staff
• Excellent communications skills
• High level IT skills to make maximum use of our HRIS and ability to analyse employee data
• Excellent customer focused approach

Key responsibilities as our HR Business Partner:

• Contribute to the design & implementation of the team’s key objectives and programmes of work
• Act as a business partner to managers across a number of departments to achieve their objectives, supporting people strategies, challenges and plans where necessary, within the remit of this role
• Providing an advisory service to managers and staff regarding all people matters
• Manage employee relations cases, providing advice and support in respect of absence management, occupational health, terms and conditions of employment, capability, performance, grievance and disciplinary matters etc.
• Take overall responsibility for the HR team’s personnel records, including maintenance of the HRIS
• Take overall responsibility for the provision of information to Payroll and associated administration
