We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a full-time basis.

As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Crouch End Branch, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. By doing so you will play a crucial role in raising the funds for the amazing services and support Barnardo's provides for children, young people, parents, and carers across the UK.

Location: The successful post holder will be based at our Crouch End Branch, Crouch End, 2 Broadway Parade, England. N8 9DE

Working Pattern: 35 hours per week.

Please note the role will include moving high volumes of stock on a daily basis.

Some but not all key responsibilities are:

• Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
• Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.
• Implement promotions in the Store as directed by Head Office or your Area Business Manager.
• Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows and the interior of the Store.
• Ensure there is adequate stock available on the shop floor, at all times, on all key lines.
• Provide training, development, work reviews and appraisals for paid staff to enable them to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
• Create an organised and pleasant working environment for staff and volunteers.
• Actively recruit the correct/specified number volunteers to deliver the stores objectives and KPI's.
• Ensure all financial, cash handling and security procedures are adhered to as per the Barnardo's Manager's Manual and the relevant Retail procedures.
• Hold the shop keys, ensuring that the shop is secure whenever it is left unattended.

Idea Candidates Must Haves:

• Demonstrate experience of working in a fashion industry.
• Experience of managing a team in a customer service environment.
• Flexible approach to working hours and days including working Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays as appropriate and when required. Also assisting in area team, including cover at other Stores, if necessary.
• Ability to liaise and respond to a variety of people from varying backgrounds.
• Ability to meet the needs of customers on a face-to-face basis, in order to generate sales and increase customer usage of the shop.
• Evidence of experience of working to budgets and targets.

Senior Acquisition and Welcome Officer – DRTV/Print, an excellent opportunity to join an International Welfare Charity, based in London.

Main responsibilities

• Work with media, telemarketing and SMS agencies, digital inhouse experts, to propose annual testing plans across all elements.

• Work closely with digital colleagues to ensure all DRTV ads have digital activity to support, from PPC, to integrated social ads, to home page and landing page content

Experience, skills and knowledge required for this Senior Acquisition and Welcome Officer – DRTV/Print role:  

• Experience working in similar fundraising marketing role, such as Individual Giving, Direct Marketing, Marketing Campaigns, with excellent campaign management and analytical skills.
• Experience of campaign managing channels such as DRTV, print, telemarketing, email.
• Excellent analytical skills to analyse and interpret complex data into reports, and using insight to inform plans
• Experience of optimising campaigns from creative, content and media testing and regularly sharing updates on progress.
• Excellent organisational and project / campaign management skills, able to plan schedules, manage and prioritise multiple tasks from start to finish, to agreed time and budget

About the team

The Income Generation Directorate at Shelter comprises of 5 departments, delivering a mature fundraising programme that has seen continuous year on year diversity and growth. The directorate generates over £48m gross income each year, of which a high percentage is unrestricted. Our Corporate Partnerships team is split into two areas - New Partnerships which generates income by securing new relationships with private sector businesses, and the Partnership Management team, where this role sits, is responsible for the growth of Shelter’s voluntary income by managing and developing existing corporate partnerships spanning a variety of sectors. About the role

This is an essential and valued role within the Partnership Management team, as you will help design and deliver impactful partnerships to generate income to fund our vital work in response to the national housing emergency. You will lead on the employee fundraising and engagement activities across our valued corporate partnerships that include Ikea, B&Q, Nationwide, HSBC UK, M&S and Network Rail. You will also lead on the success and development of a dedicated portfolio of partners, delivering colleague and customer facing fundraising and commercial campaigns to a high quality. You will utilise your proactive nature and creative skills to deliver new and innovative partnership activities that deliver against team targets and will be responsible for developing clear and efficient partnership plans to achieve these agreed goals. Reporting to the Finance and Pensions Manager, this plays a pivotal role in developing and continuously revising the CTO's budgets, financial rules, and regulations. The Accounting Officer will ensure the accounting software package is optimised and will be expected to prudently manage the CTO's cash flow and investment activities. We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional with significant experience in a similar capacity in an organisation with a comparable scope and complexity. You will have strong finance and accountancy experience, as well as solid analytical skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The Role

As a Catering Liaison Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of several catering concessions across the Royal Parks, ensuring that a quality dining experience is consistently delivered to enhance the visitor experience.

You will work closely with our catering partners to ensure that the food and service they provide is of the highest quality. You will be a key point of contact for our catering partners and concessionaires, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of our services, supporting contractual compliance and overseeing all aspects of contract administration including our sustainability and financial targets

About You

To be considered as a Catering Liaison Manager, you will need:

• Experience of commercial catering contracts
• Excellent communication skills to build relationship with key stakeholders
• Decision making experience using evidence and data that considers costs, benefits and risks
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations and compliance standards relevant to hospitality venues
• The ability to identify, analyse and act to effectively manage risk
• Exceptional planning and organising skills

Your role in our mission…
We're looking for individuals experienced in product management within a Fundraising environment. We have two roles available:
- One role will be responsible for our Supporter Led portfolio, working cross-organisationally to create and deliver products for our key audiences year-round and strive towards our ambitious growth targets.
- One role responsible for our Social Fundraising products, working across Meta channels to offer varied, accessible challenges to engage new audiences and build our ongoing social fundraising strategy, focusing on acquisition and growth.

As the product expert, you will gain multiple stakeholders buy-in, create, and own each product strategy and budget and be the charity wide point of contact for the product and be accountable for recruitment and stewardship of participants. We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporter care, can manage multi-channel marketing campaigns and can deliver excellent product/project management in an event fundraising setting.

Additional Criteria for Success:
- Demonstrable experience within fundraising (or other income generating/product development function), particularly with experience of community, event or digital fundraising.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively in large and complex cross- functional teams
- Proven Project Management skills
- Excellent knowledge of Marketing campaigns, tools and techniques
- Strong product management experience as well as analytical skills, and market awareness will be essential to ensure that product strategies are grounded in data and evidence.
