Purpose of job:

Comic Relief is looking for a Digital Fundraising Lead to assume responsibility as the driving force behind our fundraising and engagement strategies. The Digital Fundraising/Marketing Lead is responsible for overseeing the Fundraising and Engagement strategies, planning and performance of our digital marketing channels, to deliver ambitious organisational objectives and fundraising growth targets. Comic Relief’s fundraising and public engagement is delivered primarily through it’s digital channels, and in this role you will lead the digital fundraising team and cross-organisational project teams in driving high performance across these channels, including web UX journey and optimisation, email communications and paid media campaigns to facilitate the delivery of over £18M income across Fundraising.

Key responsibilities:

· Lead the strategy setting and annual planning and budget setting for Comic Relief’s Digital Marketing & Fundraising, including building financial models, developing business cases, monitoring budgets and updating forecasts

· Manage and coach a team of digital fundraisers to execute fundraising, (acquisition and engagement), activity across our key digital channels to deliver against agreed plans and objectives across the entire Fundraising team, specifically focussed on the UK public audience: individuals and communities of individuals, including schools and workplaces

· Foster a culture of high performance and build organisational expertise through a test, learn and iterate approach where data, learning and insight is used to make informed decisions and actioned swiftly. Ensure knowledge is systematised and shared across the organisation for maximum impact

· Working as a lead within the Public Activation & Individual Giving team, work with the team and wider colleagues to ensure all digital communications our audiences receive and the digital experience they have, is appropriately targeted, designed and delivered in a way to maximise engagement and life time value

· Operate as a champion of digital innovation within the wider Fundraising team and organisation, proactively identifying, sourcing and helping to embed new technologies, ways of working and tools and approaches that drive digital marketing/fundraising performance and income generation. Where necessary, bring x-organisational project teams together to deliver digital marketing / fundraising change projects.

· Lead the management and performance management of our media agency to develop a digital media strategy that delivers against agreed KPI’s, working closely with the Paid Media Manager to continuously optimise and evaluate performance across the full suite of campaigns and always on activity plan

· Oversee the email marketing strategy, including oversight of critical email marketing tools and platforms, ensuring the effective management of audiences and messages, closely with the Senior Digital Fundraiser and Email Marketing Executive to continuously optimise and evaluate performance across the full suite of communications

· Play a lead role in working with stakeholders across the organisation to unify separate digital marketing activity (owned and earned) to ensure all Comic Relief efforts are working together to maximise effectiveness and efficiency

· Play a lead role in working with colleagues managing Comic Relief’s website and associated platforms to ensure they are optimised for User Experience and conversion to action across all agreed initiatives and activities

· Provide specific leadership in bringing the Fundraising, Technology and Data teams together to ensure our Digital Marketing and Fundraising strategies and plans are aligned with data and tech capabilities and priorities and oversee direct interventions to solve problems and mitigate risks to delivery and performance

Operate as primary point of contact with BBC Marketing specifically in relation to digital marketing strategies, including development of Red Nose Day web pages, supplying content and performance tracking

The Migraine Trust is the only UK migraine charity providing information and support, campaigning for awareness and change, and funding and promoting research, and has been leading and bringing the migraine community together since 1965. One in seven people in the UK live with migraine. This complex and debilitating neurological disorder can significantly affect many aspects of life including work, school, personal relationships, and feelings of isolation.

Every year over two million people visit The Migraine Trust website for the most up to date information, and thousands contact the helplines for information and support on all aspects of migraine. The Migraine Trust campaign for increased awareness and understanding of migraine, better access to treatment, and national policy change to improve the lives of people who get it.

The Information Manager will coordinate and develop a range of health information needed by the migraine community and people living with migraine to raise awareness to both members of the public and health care professionals. The role is also responsible for ensuring the information on the website is up to date and coordinating and managing Patient Information Forum renewals.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and maintain quality health information: You will manage and update health information, scope, plan, and create new content in consultation with stakeholders, and identify target groups to produce materials to meet their needs. You will work within the Information and Support team constantly communicating with colleagues working on front line services to ensure the information being produced is in line with service users needs. You will also be responsible for managing the organisations PIF processes and assessments.
• Engage with the migraine community: You will hold focus groups to understand information needs, build strategic partnerships to disseminate information effectively, and support staff learning and knowledge-building about migraine.
• Support communication and dissemination: You will work with the Communications team to create accessible information formats, provide content for videos, blogs, and other communication channels and regularly monitor and report on the impact of information provision.
• Research: You will act as the key point of communication for the research committee, manage administrative duties for research funding applications and grants, and coordinate research meetings and liaise with funded researchers for project updates.
• Represent and support the charity: You will represent The Migraine Trust at external events and build relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.

The Information Manager will have solid experience of communicating complex health information to audiences in written and online formats, as well as proven experience of producing information from the research stage through to writing, external review and liaising with designers. The successful candidate will have the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of medical and health related information, including research and critical analysis skills to develop an evidence base. You will have experience working within a health communication environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail with demonstrable editing and proofreading skills. You will have the ability to liaise with key stakeholders, be a self-starter with an ability to work independently and as part of a team and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will have knowledge and understanding of the benefits of patient engagement to produce health information.

The role is home-based with meetings in London once every 3 months which will include overnight stays and some ad hoc national travel. All travel/overnight expenses are covered. We are recruiting for a Director of Operations to join a private international charitable foundation which seeks to support environmental recovery, supported by cultures and economies grounded in Earth lore, in line with their “breathe freely” ethos.  As such they are committed to grants and other investments that are healing to the climate, to biodiversity, and to human cultural relations with the other-than-human. The foundation is currently based in a Hong Kong family office, with personnel in Hong Kong and the UK, as well as Cameroon, Brazil, Australia, Papua, and the US. We are seeking a hands-on, seasoned, and globally-minded leader to serve as the foundation’s Director of Operations (DO) as the institution continues to evolve and develop other vehicles fit for its mission and activities.

Role

As Director of Operations, you will be a key member of the foundation’s leadership team jointly responsible for strategic planning and overall management of the institution to ensure organisational health and the fulfilment of the foundation’s mission. You will report to the Executive Director (ED).

Director of Operations Responsibilities

 — The responsibilities of the Director of Operations will include, but are not limited to:

 Finance

• Maintain best practice of internal and external controls and reporting according to accounting, audit and tax standards for international non-profits and foundations including segregation of duties, security and integrity of data and records, and approval protocols.
• Manage cashflow and liquidity requirements in coordination with the family office.
• With the ED, orchestrate an annual organisation-wide planning and budgeting process.
• Ensure effective expense control, tracking, reporting and forecasting.

 Legal and Regulatory

People and Culture

 Information Technology

• Strategically manage information systems and IT platforms to support this almost 100% virtual, globally spread out, and highly mobile organisation.
• Ensure core systems are robust, available, and accessible to staff in all locations as appropriate.

Risk Management

• Ensure appropriate and adequate insurance policy acquisition and management needed across the institution and oversee ongoing policy management for adequacy of coverage, renewals, and financial considerations (includes liability, worker’s compensation, travel etc. across geographic areas).
• Oversee health and safety policy and procedures across staff locations and during travel.
• Coordinate business continuity policies and procedures.

Staff Management and Mentorship

• The Director of Operations currently has oversight responsibilities for the following functions:

• Manage relationships with outsourced tax, payroll processing, and legal resources in various jurisdictions.

Qualifications

— The successful Director of Operations candidate will likely reflect much of the following profile:

 Essential

• Bachelor’s degree and preferably relevant graduate degree (MBA, MPA or equivalent) or comparable experience.
• At least 10 years senior management experience including international operations and finance responsibilities, with an international grantmaking foundation or non-profit organisation or equivalent. Previous COO, CFO, or equivalent experience desirable.
• International living and/or working experience including in the Global South; familiarity with the complexities of operating remotely and under different jurisdictions.
• Specific experience in leading through growth, infrastructure building, and/or change.
• Cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary in understanding and perspective, and proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team of diverse roles, experiences and backgrounds.

About this role  

The Senior Business Development & Fundraising Coordinator will work as part of the Fundraising and Business Development Team at RedR. This role will focus primarily on generating institutional funding, but will also include to a lesser extent some work with trusts and foundations, corporate funders and individual funders. It will involve managing the Business Development and Fundraising team’s day to day work with support from the Business Development and Fundraising Officer, as well as supporting the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in meeting BD and fundraising targets. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Team, Project and Line Management  

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the business development and fundraising team, including line management of the BD/Fundraising Officer. 

• Ensure timely delivery of BD and fundraising projects and deadlines in coordination with teams across organisation 

• Oversee the management and maintenance of Salesforce and other software and applications. 

• Ensure accurate income consolidation and donation capturing. 

• Support the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development in developing/updating and operationalising team strategies, budgets, systems, and processes.

Business Development and fundraising 

Support the BD/Fundraising Officer with prospect research and research into funder priorities 

• Lead the development of successful bids in collaboration with teams across the organisation. This role will mainly focus on institutional funders, but will also work on bids for corporate donors, and trusts and foundations. 

• Ensure bids are developed to a high standard and meet sometimes very complex requirements. 

• Oversee the delivery of smaller fundraising and engagement activities and events by RedR’s Communications Coordinator and the BD/Fundraising Officer in the delivery of smaller fundraising activities and events. 

• With the Communications Coordinator and BD/Fundraising Officer, identify and implement opportunities for engaging individual donors. 

Engaging with Stakeholders: 

• Support Associate Director in developing and implementing strategies for engagement and partnerships with a wide range of funding stakeholders. 

• Nurture strategic partnerships with key clients, understanding their underlying needs and exploring opportunities for cross-collaboration. 

Demonstrating Leadership: 

• Line-manage BD/Fundraising Officer effectively, setting clear objectives and monitoring performance.

FUNCTIONAL EXPECTATIONS 

EXPERIENCE 

Essential: 

• Good experience working with institutional funders and understanding funder priorities.

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Community Outreach Coordinator to join our growing, dynamic team. This role will support the development of a community hub attached to our charity retail “ReStore” in Romford—the first of its kind in the UK. Globally, over 1,000 ReStores operate with the mission of upcycling unwanted home materials to support low-income households and promote a circular economy.

Beyond being a retail space, our ReStore aims to become a community hub offering additional targeted activities and services to those most vulnerable to housing insecurity. Our pilot programme will focus on supporting women recovering from domestic abuse or trafficking. These women will access free essential goods from the store, and benefit from workshops and courses such as upholstery, upcycling, art therapy, employability, confidence-building, and practical life skills.

Our client is a highly reputable Russell Group University based near Central London focusing on public research. My client is looking for an interim appointment to join on a 3-month contract, to join as part of the principal's office focusing on their new Latin American initiative supporting the Assistant Vice Principal.

Your new role

Business, administrative and personal assistant support service to the Assistant Vice-Principal:

• `Supporting the Associate Vice-Principal Strategic Partnerships to arrange international travel and manage a complex diary of conflicting priorities.
• Supporting logistical arrangements for international trips and overseas workshops for student recruitment. This will include arranging flights and accommodation, preparing trip itineraries and programmes, collating contacts, financial administration and follow-up actions/outcomes.
• Administrative/secretarial service for meetings as required, including preparing agenda papers, minute taking and following up actions as well as inviting and hosting external guests.
• Performing other administrative duties, including supporting with equipment purchase and similar.

General administration and event support:

• Support with the production of reports, business papers, spreadsheets, presentations and other documents.
• Undertake financial administration (including procurement, raising purchase orders and processing expenses claims), ensuring compliance with the financial regulations.
• Support organisation of international and national events with the aim of raising the university's profile, including a Leadership Programme and Research Conference in August.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need experience working as a Personal Assistant, ideally in Higher Education working at a senior level. You will need to have experience working with external and internal stakeholders. You will have experience managing a fast-paced senior member of staff with an ever-changing diary. You will need experience of international travel arrangements, including itinerary management, flights and hotel bookings. You will need experience of organising a large scalae event or conference and servicing meetings. You will need to have a proactive approach, where taking your initiative comes naturally to you, and you will need to be able to hit the ground running.

This role is a hybrid role, where you will be expected to be in office a minimum of 3 days a week but will require you to be flexible to match business needs. You will get a temporary contract at a competitive rate at a highly reputable university, to start as soon as possible.
