The Communications and Information Officer is responsible for our external communications, our social media channels, and maintaining and managing our website. Working mainly with colleagues from the Sector Support and Grants team initially, to raise awareness about the impact of our work as well as the work of the legal advice charities we support. The role will also support Events and Fundraising team to achieve greater participation in our fundraising events, and better engagement with supporters across the legal sector. The role holder will help to create and implement a sustainable communications plan and social media strategy, generating innovative content to grow our online presence and increase engagement.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about access to justice and enthusiasm for our work and commitment to social justice and equal opportunities for all. You will bring excellent digital skills; experience in a communications and marketing, public relations and/or digital role; and a proven ability to effectively write and edit copy for different audiences.

The British Museum seeks a Supporter Data Assistant to contribute to its mission of offering an exceptional supporter-centric experience. The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join us in the brand new role of Governance and Executive Officer.
You will provide proactive and efficient secretariat and administrative support to the Executive and Non-Executive Teams, working closely with the Leadership Team to support the fulfilment of their day-to-day tasks and strategic objectives.
The role includes supporting and organising meetings and reports, and minuting of executive meetings. In addition to general PA and administrative duties, you will provide a cohesive secretariat function to support the smooth and efficient operation of the Mind THNR Board and its sub-committees.
You will work closely with the Leadership Team to set agendas, monitor action logs, and provide a high level of support to the Board. This role is flexible in terms of days and hours, although you need to attend Board meetings in person, once a quarter in the evening and committee meetings, which are also in the evening, but on line, so three evening meetings a quarter. Job description
1. Organisational leadership and people management
-
Work with the ED and SMT to ensure a values-led and positive organisational culture is reflected throughout ways of working, internal communication, policies and processes, and all team activities.

Line-manage Senior Management Team (SMT) members, operational roles and other roles as necessary (currently Head of Development, Head of Communications and Engagement, Head of Policy, Advocacy and Research, and Operations Manager).

Chair weekly SMT meetings.

Oversee human resources and people management processes, ensuring alignment with best practice in areas including recruitment, induction, performance management, safety, wellbeing, learning and development, and benefits.

Oversee the bi-annual, in-person team retreat.

About the role
We’re looking for a Media and Communications Officer to join our Media and PR team.
As a member of the team, you'll have a fundamental role in helping us to deliver on our promise to support young people and their families to deal with the impact of cancer, both during and beyond treatment.
This role, working together with other members of the Policy, Communications and Voice directorate and the wider charity, will help us achieve this by amplifying the voices and experiences of children and young people with cancer, influencing the system to create change and raising awareness and funds.

What will I be doing?
No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.
- Contributing to the development and delivery of the charity’s strategic media plan.
- Developing and implementing creative, effective communications plans for campaigns and projects, in-line with the charity’s overall strategic objectives.
